출입문 개폐에 의한 전동차 객실 CO2 저감효과 분석 (Quantitative Analysis of CO2 Reduction by Door-opening in the Subway Cabin)

  • The guidelines for indoor air quality of public transportations such as subway, train and bus was presented by Korean Ministry of Environment last end of year 2006 based on the great consequence of indoor air quality in daily life. Two main parameters, carbon dioxide($CO_2$) and particulate matters smaller than $10\;{\mu}m(PM_{10})$, were selected as index pollutants for the management of indoor air quality. The former pollutant, $CO_2$, is regarded as index of ventilation status and the major source of $CO_2$ in the train or subway is the exhalation of passengers. It is publically perceived that the high $CO_2$ concentration in a crowded subway will be reduced and ventilated with outdoor air by door-opening taken every 2 or 3 minutes when the train stops each station. However, there has not been any scientific proof and quantitative information on the effect of door-opening on the $CO_2$ reduction by ventilation with outdoor air. In this study, $CO_2$ concentration and number of passengers were measured at each station on the 3 lines of Korail metropolitan subway. In order to evaluate the effect of $CO_2$ reduction by door opening, the theoretical approach using the $CO_2$ balance equation was performed. By comparing the predicted data with monitoring one, the optimum $CO_2$ dilution factor was determined. For the first time, it was quantified that about 35% of $CO_2$ concentration in the subway indoor was removed by the door-opening at each station.

2 리터급 터보과급 가솔린 기관에서 내장형 WGV가 기관 성능에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Embedded WGV on the Engine Performance for a 2-liter Turbo-charged Gasoline Engine)

  • The turbocharger, to decrease the harmful exhaust gas(CO, HC and etc.) and $CO_2$ emission as well as the increase of the engine output, would be an useful method for engine downsizing. Therefore the thermal endurance of turbine blade, the lubrication of turbine shaft and the engine knock according to the supercharge of the inlet air, had been studied. And there had been much progress in these research tasks to be achieved a breakthrough. But a study on the built-in WGV of a gasoline engine for a passenger car which may effect on the engine performance, is few. In this paper, the effect of the embedded WGV on the engine performance was performed through the endurance test, which was conducted more than 300 hrs using the 4 stroke, 1998 cc, water-cooled engine. To sum up the major results, there were an abrasion in the area of the WGV head edge and the thermal deformation on the WGV head face, These phenomena led to reducing the boost pressure which caused the reduction in the volumetric efficiency of the engine. It resulted in decreasing the engine power gradually during the life cycle of the embedded WGV.

  • WISH, FL 및 HEp-2 세포주중 분석용 세포주를 선정하기 위하여 VSV에 대한 sensitivity와 세포성장능을 조사하였다. 그 결과 HEp-2 세포주가 가장 유리한 것으로 판별되었으며, 이 세포주를 이용하여 초기 세포농도 $5{\times}10^5cells/ml$과 200TCI-$D_{50}$의 VSV활성을 사용하여 22~24hr내에 인터페론 역가 분석을 할 수 있는 방법을 개발하였으며, 이 방법에 대한 신뢰성을 조사한 결과 CPE-reading method와 유사한 신뢰도를 보여주었다.

Effect of Transition Metal(II)-N,N-Bis(salicylaldehyde)phenylenediimines on the Electrochemical Reduction of Thionyl Chloride

  • Catalytic effects of transition metal (Co2+, Ni2+) complexes of N,N-bis(salicylaldehyde)-o-phenylenediimine (SOPD), N,N-bis(salicylaldehyde)-m-phenylenediimine (SMPD), and N,N-bis(salicylaldehyde)-p-phenylenediimine (SPPD), on the reduction of thionyl chloride at glassy carbon electrode, are evaluated by determining the kinetic parameters with cyclic voltammetric technique. The charge transfer process for the reduction of thionyl chloride is strongly affected by the concentration of the catalysts. Some quadridentate Schiff base-M(Ⅱ) complexes show sizable catalytic activities for the reduction of thionyl chloride. Catalytic effects of [M(Ⅱ)(SOPD)] complexes are slightly larger compared to [M(Ⅱ)2(SMPD)2] and [M(Ⅱ)2(SPPD)2] complexes. On those electrodes deposited with the catalysts, the observed exchange rate constants (ko) are in the range of 0.89-2.28 × 10-7 cm/s, while it is 1.24 × 10-7 cm/s on the bare glassy carbon electrode.

중국 제조업 부문별 CO2 잠재감축량 및 한계저감비용 지역 간 비교 분석 (Comparison of Potential CO2 Reduction and Marginal Abatement Costs across Sectors and Provinces in the Chinese Manufacturing Industries)

  • 본 논문에서는 중국 정부가 추진하고 있는 '저탄소 지속가능한 성장'의 실현가능성을 개진하는 데 있어서 탄소배출권 거래 시범지역으로 지정된 7개 지역 가운데 북경시, 중경시 제조업 24개 부문을 대상으로 각 지역별로 투입물거리함수를 추정하여 기술효율성, $CO_2$ 암묵가격, 투입요소 간 간접 모리시마 대체탄력성 등을 측정하여 이를 토대로 업종 간, 지역 간 최대 $CO_2$ 잠재감축량, 탄소배출권 거래의 비용절감효과, 자본 투자로 인한 $CO_2$ 감축의 잠재적 성과 등을 비교, 분석하였다. 2010년 현재 북경시, 중경시 제조업은 100% 기술효율성 달성을 통하여 $CO_2$ 배출량을 각각 최대 516만 톤, 1,704만 톤까지 감축가능한 것으로 추산되었다. 평균적으로 탄소배출권 거래의 한계저감비용 절감효과는 중경시에서, 자본 투자의 $CO_2$ 감축효과 가능성은 북경시에서 더 높게 나타났다.

  • For gaseous fuel combustion with inherent $CO_2$ capture and low NOx emission, chemical-looping combustion may yield great advantages for the savings of energy to $CO_2$ separation and suppressing the effect on environment, In chemical-looping combustor, fuel is oxidized by metal oxide medium in a reduction reactor. Reduced particles are transported to oxidation reactor and oxidized by air and recycled to reduction reactor. The fuel and the air are never mixed, and the gases from reduction reactor, $CO_2$ and $H_2O$, leave the system as separate stream. The $H_2O$ can be easily separated by condensation and pure $CO_2$ is obtained without any loss of energy for separation. In this study, five oxygen carrier particles such as NiO/bentonite, NiO/YSZ, $(NiO+Fe_2O_3)VYSZ$, $NiO/NiAl_2O_4$, and $Co_{\chi}O_y/CoAl_2O_4$ were examined &om the viewpoints of reaction kinetics, oxygen transfer capacity, and carbon deposition characteristics. Among five oxygen particles, NiO/YSZ particle is superior in reaction rate, oxygen carrier capacity, and carbon deposition to other particles. However, at high temperature ($>900^{\circ}C$), NiO/bentonite particle also shows enough reactivity and oxygen carrier capacity to be applied in a practical system.

N2O 분해반응용 Co3O4 기반 촉매의 K첨가 효과 (K Addition Effect of Co3O4-based Catalyst for N2O Decomposition)

  • $N_2O$ 촉매 분해 반응을 위한 $Co_3O_4$ 촉매는 공침법을 이용하여 제조하였으며, 조촉매로서 Ce 및 Zr의 양을 (Ce 또는 Zr)/Co = 0.05의 몰비로 고정하여 제조하였다. 또한 K가 촉매에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위해 1 wt%의 $K_2CO_3$를 함침하여 촉매를 제조하였다. 제조된 촉매의 특성은 BET, SEM, XRD, $H_2-TPR$, XPS를 통해 분석하였다. $Co_3O_4$ 촉매는 스피넬 결정상을 나타냈으며, 조촉매의 첨가는 입자 크기와 결정 크기를 감소시켜 비표면적을 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다. K의 도핑은 촉매 활성 물질인 Co의 활성 종인 $Co^{2+}$의 농도를 증가시켜 촉매 활성을 향상시키는 것으로 확인되었다. $N_2O$ 분해 반응 테스트는 $GHSV=45,000h^{-1}$, $250{\sim}375^{\circ}C$에서 수행되었으며 $Co_3O_4$ 촉매에 조촉매를 첨가하였을 때도 반응성이 증가하였지만, K를 함침하면 활성이 더욱 크게 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. K의 도핑이 활성 종인 $Co^{2+}$의 농도를 증가시키며, 환원온도를 낮춰 주어 활성에 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 확인하였다.

광배양 시스템에서 NOx 및 SOx의 배지 pH와 미세조류 생장에 미치는 영향 (Effects of NOx and SOx on the Medium pH and microalgal growth in photo-culture system)

  • Carbon dioxide reduction technologies using photosynthetic microorganism were suggested to overcome environmental destruction caused by $CO_2$ in flue gases from power plant and other industries. However, there are many toxic constituents in flue gas including CO, NOx, SOx. Continuous and Excessive supply of these noxious gases to cells will leads to inhibition of microalgal growth along with partial cell death. In this study, we tested the noxious effect of SOx and NOx on the pH and microalgal growth under photoautotrophic culture in three microalgae of Neochloris oleoabundans, Chlorella vulgaris and Haematococcus pluvialis. As a result, SOx concentration more than 50 ppm led to the rapid reduction of pH, thereby inhibiting of the growth in Neochloris oleoabundans and Chlorella vulgaris. NOx concentration more the 100 ppm reduced the exponential growth of N. oleoabundans and C. vulgaris. And H. pluvialis exhibited low sensitivity to SOx and NOx. Consequently, the three microalgae of N. oleabundas, C. vulagaris and H. pluvialis showed the normal vegetative growth in 25 ppm of NOx and SOx. Above all, H. pluvialis was useful for the $CO_2$ sequestration of the flue gas including high concentrations of NOx and SOx.

알킬렌디아미노알킬-비스-포스폰산과 비스-디메틸아미노메틸 포스핀산으로 처리된 중질섬유판의 연소가스 발생 (Combustion Gas-emission of Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) Treated with Alkylenediaminialkyl-bis-phosphonic Acids and Bis-(dimethylaminomethyl) Phosphinic Acid)

  • 이 연구에서는 피페라지노메틸-비스-포스폰산(PIPEABP), 메틸피페라지노메틸-비스-포스폰산(MPIPEABP), N,N-디메틸렌디아미노메틸-비스-포스폰산(MDEDAP) 그리고 비스-디메틸아미노메틸 포스핀산(DMDAP)의 화학 첨가제로 처리된 중질섬유판(MDF)의 연소가스 발생을 시험하였다. 15 wt%의 인-질소산류 첨가제 수용액으로 중질섬유판에 붓으로 3회 칠하여 실온에서 건조시킨 후, 콘칼로리미터(Conecalorimeter, ISO 5660-1, 2)를 이용하여 연소가스의 발생을 시험하였다. 그 결과, 인-질소산류 첨가제로 처리한 시험편의 최대연기발생률($SPR_{peak}$)은 무처리 시험편에 비교하여 18.5~41.5%로 낮게 나타내었다. 그러나 인-질소산류 첨가제로 처리한 시험편에 대한 최대일산화탄소 생성($CO_{peak}$), (6.7~24.2)%은 공시험편보다 높게 나타났다. 또한 최대이산화탄소 발생($CO_{2peak}$), (4.2~24.4)%은 공시험편보다 낮게 나타났다. 반면에 $O_2$의 최대결핍률은 사람에게 치명적일 수 있는 수준인 15%보다 훨씬 높으므로 그로 인한 위험성은 피할 수 있었다. 결론적으로 MDF에 인-질소산류로 처리한 시험편은 부분적으로 연소성이 억제되었다. 그러나 일산화탄소의 감소에는 부정적인 영향을 미쳤다.
