초음파환원법에 의해 제조된 Ag-TiO2의 항균 활성도 고찰 (Study on Antibacterial Activity of Ag Nanometal-deposited TiO2 Prepared by Sonochemical Reduction Method)

  • 본 연구에서는 초음파환원법을 이용하여 이산화티탄($TiO_2$) 미립자 표면에 은나노메탈이 도핑된 Ag-$TiO_2$ 나노복합체를 제조하였다. $TiO_2$ 표면에 생성되는 은나노금속은 약 1~3 nm의 사이즈분포를 나타내었고, 환원반응시 첨가되는 $AgNO_3$의 양이 증가할수록 $TiO_2$ 표면에 형성되는 은나노금속의 개수가 증가하였다. 이렇게 얻어진 일정량의 Ag-$TiO_2$ 나노복합체를 대장균(E-coli)과 함께 고체멸균배지에 도말하여 태양광모사 제논램프로부터 30 min간 $600{\sim}1800{\mu}w/cm^2$의 빛을 조사한 후 $37^{\circ}C$에서 24 h 배양한 후 생존한 콜로니의 개수를 측정하였다. 실험 결과 대조군대비 순수한 $TiO_2$를 첨가했을 때보다 Ag-$TiO_2$를 첨가 시 항균활성도가 더 높게 나타났다. 또한 Ag-$TiO_2$ 주입양이 증가할수록 콜로니의 개수가 감소하였고, 초기 30 min간 조사한 빛의 세기가 증가할수록 Ag-$TiO_2$의 항균효과가 증가하였다. 또한 은나노금속의 도핑양이 증가할수록 광촉매 효율은 감소하였지만 항균효과는 지속적으로 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다.

  • 본 연구는 비 $TiO_2$ 계 광촉매 중 가장 널리 알려져 있는 $ATiO_3$ (A = Ca, Sr, Ba) perovskite를 sol-gel 법을 이용해 합성하였고, 골격치환이 용이한 점을 이용해 A site에 Ni을 첨가한 입자를 합성하였다. 합성한 $ATiO_3$와 Ni-$ATiO_3$ 입자의 불리화학적 특성은 X-선 회절분석(XRD), 자외선-가시선 분광광도계(UV-visible spectroscopy), 주사전자현미경 (SEM), 에너지분산형 분광분석법(EDS), 질소 등온 흡 탈착실험, X선 광전자분광법(XPS)을 이용해 확인하였다. 수소제조는 메탄올을 광분해하여 얻었으며, $ATiO_3$ 보다 Ni-$ATiO_3$ 촉매에서 높은 수소발생량을 나타내었다. 특히 Ni-$SrTiO_3$ 촉매를 사용하였을 때 24시간 반응 후 $273.84mmolg^{-1}$의 수소가 발생하였다. 또한 Ni-$SrTiO_3$ 촉매는 물(0.1 M KOH)을 분해하였을 때에도 높은 수소 제조 성능을 나타냈으며, 24시간 반응 후 $961.51mmolg^{-1}$의 수소가 발생한 것을 확인하였다.

소결조제가 (1-x)CaTiO$_{3}$-xLa(Zn$_{1}$2/Ti$_{1}$2/)O$_{3}$계의 소결 및 마이크로파 유전특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Sintering Additives on the Microwave Dielectric and Sintering Characteristics of (1-x)CaTiO$_{3}$-xLa(Zn$_{1}$2/Ti$_{1}$2/)O$_{3}$)

  • (1-x)CaTiO/sub 3/-xLa(Zn/sub 1/2/Ti/sub 1/2/)O/sub 3/의 마이크로 유전특성을 조사하였다. x가 증가함에 따라 비유전율과 공진주파수의 온도계수는 감소하였으며, Qㆍf/sub 0/는 증가하였다. 그 결과 x=0.5인 (Ca/sub 0.5/La/sub 0.5/)(Ti/sub 0.75/Zn/sub 0.25/)O/sub 3/의 조성에서 ε/sub r/=51, Qㆍf/sub 0/=38,000 (at 7 GHz), τ/sub f/=+5ppm/℃의 유전특성이 나타났다. (Ca/sub 0.5/La/sub 0.5/)(Ti/sub 0.75/Zn/sub 0.25/) O/sub 3/조성의 소결온도를 저하시키기 위하여 Bi/sub 2/O/sub 3/를 주조성으로한 소결체를 첨가하여 소결 및 유전특성을 조사하였다. 1wt% 0.76Bi/sub 2/O/sub 3/-0.24NiO가 첨가된 경우 소결온도는 150℃ 낮아졌으며, 비유전율 (ε/sub r/), 공진주파수의 온도계수(τ/sub f), Qㆍf/sub 0/가 각각 50+5ppm/℃, 35,000인 마이크로파 유전특성이 얻어졌다. 또한 3wt%의 0.76Bi/sub 2/O/sub 3/-0.24NiO가 첨가된 경우 소결온도는 200℃ 저하되었고, 비유전율 (ε/sub r/)과 공진주파수의 온도계수 (τ/sub f)는 변하기 않았으나, Qㆍf/sub 0/값이 38,000에서 25,000으로 저하되었다.

TiO2가 코팅된 Polyethylene 입자를 이용한 페놀과 톨루엔의 광분해 (Photo-degradation of Phenol and Toluene by Using the TiO2-coated Polyethylene Particles)

  • The photodegradation of phenol and toluene with the $TiO_2$-coated polyethylene (PE) particles were investigated in the slurry type photocatalytic reactor, changing the $TiO_2$ particle sizes, initial phenol and toluene concentrations, and the oxygen flow rate. The nano-sized $TiO_2$ photocatalyst particles were prepared by the diffusion flame reactor and they were coated onto PE particles by using the hybridization system for the efficient recollection of $TiO_2$-coated particles after photodegradation experiments. The degradation efficiencies of phenol and toluene with the $TiO_2$-coated PE particles were more than 90% after photodegradation of 80 minutes for most cases. The efficiencies of photodegradation with the $TiO_2$-coated PE particles were found to be lower than those by the pure $TiO_2$ particles by 50%, because of the decrease in specific surface area of $TiO_2$ particles in PE particles.

Chemical Reactivity of Ti+ within Water, Dimethyl Ether, and Methanol Clusters

  • The intracluster ion-molecule reactions of $Ti^+(H_2O)_n,\;Ti^+(CH_3OCH_3)_n,\;and\;Ti^+(CH_3OD)_n$ complexes produced by the mixing of the laser-vaporized plasma and the pulsed supersonic beam were studied using a reflectron time-of-flight mass spectrometer. The reactions of $Ti^+$ with water clusters were dominated by the dehydrogenation reaction, which produces $TiO^+(H_2O)_n$ clusters. The mass spectra resulting from the reactions of $Ti^+\;with\;CH_3OCH_3$ clusters exhibit a major sequence of $Ti^+(OCH_3)_m(CH_3OCH_3)_n$ cluster ions, which is attributed to the insertion of $Ti^+$ ion into C-O bond of $CH_3OCH_3$ followed by $CH_3$ elimination. The prevalence of $Ti^+(OCH_3)_m(CH_3OD)_n$ ions in the reaction of $Ti^+\;with\;CH_3OD$ clusters suggests that D elimination via O-D bond insertion is the preferred decomposition pathway. In addition, the results indicate that consecutive insertion reactions by the $Ti^+$ ion occur for up to three precursor molecules. Thus, examination of $Ti^+$ insertion into three different molecules establishes the reactivity order: O-H > C-O > C-H. The experiments additionally show that the chemical reactivity of heterocluster ions is greatly influenced by cluster size and argon stagnation pressure. The reaction energetics and formation mechanisms of the observed heterocluster ions are also discussed.

Bariun Titanate를 고상반응으로 합성할 때 수반하는 팽창과 상과의 관계 (Volume Expansion and Crystal Phase in Solid-Solid Reaction of BaTiO3)

  • When barium titanate was synthesized in soild-solid reaction the abnormal expansion occurred from 900$^{\circ}C$ to 1100$^{\circ}C$. The equi-molecular mixture of BaCO3 and TiO2 was sintered from 800$^{\circ}C$ to 1300$^{\circ}C$ on the condition of air, vacuum and CO2 atmosphere. After that the specimens were tested closely with XRD, Dilatometer, SEM and EDS. The result indicated that; 1. The crystal phase which was concerned with expansion of BaTiO3 was Ba2TiO4 as the intermediate crystal phase. 2. The formation of Ba2TiO4 was affected by the firing atmosphere. 3. The expansion occurred when BaTiO3 changed to Ba2TiO4 and pore also expanded by the expansion of BaTiO3 body just as the model of expansion.

양백에 코팅된 비정질 TiO2 박막의 특성에 관한 연구 (Gold Colored Coating of TiO2 thin film on Nickel-Silver by Sol-Gel Process)

  • 금속 안경테의 제조에 가장 많이 사용되는 범용 양백의 표면에 2%Ti-naphthanate toluene solution을 $TiO_2$의 전구체로 하여 sol-gel spin coating을 행하고 $500^{\circ}C$에서 열처리 한 코팅 층의 형성조건 및 표면 구조 그리고 표면색상을 Optical photometer외 색차계 그리고 X-선 회절분석기로 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. $TiO_2$ 박막의 열처리 온도는 $500^{\circ}C$가 적정하였으며 1회 코팅 시의 평균 두께는 $0.24{\mu}m$이었으며 코팅 횟수 증가에 따라 직선적으로 증가하였다. $TiO_2$ 코팅 층의 결정구조는 비정질 상태로 존재하였고 색상은 코팅 횟수에 따라 변화하였으며 2회 코팅한 경우는 적색이 미세하게 출현하였으며 3회 코팅한 경우에는 검붉은 색이 발현되었다. 명도는 55.92(1회)에서 코팅 횟수가 증가함에 따라 점차 저하하였으며 a는 3회 코팅까지는 red계열로 증가하다가 급격히 저하하며, b는 꾸준히 감소하여 blue계열로 변화하는 경향을 보였다. 금 색상의 발현을 위해서는 1회 코팅인 $0.24{\mu}m$ 두께의 $TiO_2$ 비정질 막이 적합하였다.

SrTiO3계 GBL Capacitor의 미세구조 및 유전특성 (Microstructure and Dielectric Properties of a SrTiO3-based GBL Capacitor)

  • The microstructure and dielectric properties of a SrTiO3-based GBL (Grain Boundary Layer) capacitor were investigated. The 0.6 mol% Nb2O5 doped SrTiO3 was sintered for 3 hr at 1450$^{\circ}C$ in mixed gas(N2/H2) atmosphere. The Nb2O5 promoted the grain growth of the SrTiO3 ceramics was decreased with the amount of Nb2O5. The oxide mixture(PbO, Bi2O3, B2O3) were painted on the reduced specimen and fired at 1000$^{\circ}C$ to 1100$^{\circ}C$ in air. The penetrated oxide mixture into specimen were located in grain boundaries. A SrTiO3-based GBL capacitor had the apparent permittivity of about 3.0${\times}$104, the dielectric loss of 0.01-0.02, and insulating resistance of 108-109$\Omega$.cm. The capacitor had the stable temperature coefficient of capacitance and exhibited dielectric dispersion over 107 Hz. The capacitance-voltage measurements indicated that the grain boundary was composed of the continuous insulating layers.

Influences of Glass Texturing on Efficiency of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells

  • The etching processes of glass in aqueous hydrofluoric acid (HF) solutions were used to improve the current density of solar cell. In this study, the textured glass substrate has been etched by solution and the $TiO_2$ thin films have been prepared on this textured glass. After the $TiO_2$ film deposition the surface has been etched by HF under different concentration and the etched $TiO_2$ thin films had a longer electron lifetime and higher haze ratio as well as light scattering, resulting in 1.7 times increment of dye-sensitized solar-cell(DSSC) efficiency. Increases in the surface root-mean-square roughness of glass substrates from 80 nm to 1774 nm enhanced haze ratio in above 300 nm wavelength. In particular, haze ratio of etched $TiO_2$ films on textured glass showed gradually increasing tendency at 550 nm wavelength by increasing of HF concentration up to 10M, suggesting a formation of crater with various sizes on its surface.

Preparation and Characterization of Cerium Doped Titanium Dioxide Nano Powder for Photocatalyst

  • This study was aimed at synthesizing and characterizing cerium-doped titania. Cerium-doped anatase titania powders were prepared by sol-gel process, with ammonium (IV) nitrate and titanium (IV) butoxide as the raw materials. The characteristics of pure $TiO_2$ and cerium-doped $TiO_2$ were investigated by XRD, TG/DTA, FE-SEM, and UV-vis spectroscopy. The results of this study show that anatase type of $TiO_2$ was obtained in as-prepared and calcined $TiO_2$ and Ce-$TiO_2$ powder. A DTA curve was also observed as the crystallization temperature decreased with increasing cerium contents. We found that the crystallite size of the obtained anatase particles decreased from 55 nm to 25 nm and the particle size decreased with increasing cerium contents. Moreover, UV-vis spectra showed that anatase titania powders with various cerium contents effectively extend the light absorption properties to the visible region.
