  • This paper is base on the Thought that digital Architecture and Digital design tools cannot be seperted as like Architevtural Design and Architectural Drafting tools. So the purpose of this paper is to show that the interactive 'Architectural Basic design' practice with Digital tools and there tranning method. This example of the pratical assignments in class("Architectural digital drafting" and "Architectural Basic Design") are focus on tranning spatial perception in real space and digital -cyber space. And these practical samples are using the primary step in The Digital Architectre.

  • This study is about in-service training structure combined digital competence and pedagogical knowledge in order to improve digital tools skill of a teacher in the school. Meanwhile domestic teacher training has been revealed low-level of applying into a teaching in the k12 school. Thus this study proposed teacher training system with focus on TPK sub-categories of TPACK. The core contents of TPK is to select appropriate digital tool for its teaching & learning. Additionally it is to select elements of teaching & learning associated with an attribute of digital tool. And this study presented modularize of 3 step such as teaching objective, teaching contents, assessment. Also we proposed that this training system should be operated with problem solving method which trainee itself compose TPK elements. And we committed quality investigation about picking up Strategies of TPK elements and the teacher training frame. The Participants concluded having a validity about TPK strategies, teacher training framework.

  • 본 연구에서는 국외 설계사무실과 국내 설계사무실의 수행 프로젝트(표1)를 디지털 디자인 프로세스에서의 디지털 도구 활용 사례조사 결과를 일련의 설계 프로세스(기획(Pre-Design), 계획 설계(Schematic Design) 중간설계(Detail Design), 실시설계(Construction Design))를 11개의 설계 단위작업((1)자료수집, (2)도서화작업, (3)의사소통/프레젠테이션, (4)협력업체와의 협업, (5)디자인 실험, (6)디자인분석/유효성 검토, (7)빌딩시스템과 자재선정, (8)자재비교/견적, (9)디자인 발전, (10)RP를 이용한 모델 제작, (11)시공/제작)으로 분류하여(설계프로세스별로 디지털 디자인 툴의 활용 빈도를 조사 분석하는 것은 프로세스별로 중복된 설계 단위작업이 진행됨으로 연구결과의 의미가 잘못 해석될 수 있다.) 그 활용에 대한 유형을 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 설계과정에서의 디지털 디자인 툴의 활용특성을 도출하여 실무설계의 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 목적을 둔다.

A Study on the Characteristics of Formal Expression of Atypical Buildings (비정형 건축물의 형태 표현특징에 관한 연구)

  • With the development of science and technology in recent years, various types of unstructured buildings have begun to be implemented by combining traditional architectural styles with digital tools, which are significantly different from conventional formal buildings. Designers will use various methods or digital tools to complete the unstructured and freer architectural forms when building an unstructured building. Based on this background, the need for research on the criteria for evaluating the characteristics of unstructured architectural forms is raised. First, the text was reconstructed by considering and integrating the elements of the unstructured exterior form based on prior research, with the external form of the unstructured building as the main research object. Second, the purpose of this study was to classify various types of unstructured forms and to provide important basic data for designing digital processes of unstructured architectural forms.Third, from 2000 to 2020, the text focused on the study of unstructured buildings and conducted in-depth analysis of the characteristics of their form expressions. While providing a case basis for the study of related fields, distribution laws and presence values related to the characteristics of unstructured buildings were sought. In addition, the analysis was conducted in combination with the distribution of functional use of buildings, and this study is differentiated from the existing research in that the atypical form is applied to the buildings by use, and the application trend of this type is understood to enhance understanding of the atypical form of buildings.

The Effect of the Digital Design Environment on Creative Design Thinking and Cognitive Processes - Focused on AutoCAD and SketchUp - (디지털 환경이 창의적인 디자인 사고와 인지과정에 미치는 영향 - AutoCAD와 SketchUp 사용을 중심으로 -)

  • This research adopted the assumption that the characteristics of digital tools differ from those of conventional tools and that these two tools affect creativity differently in the design processes. An empirical study was carried out to grasp the effect of the use of sketching and digital tools on students' creative behaviors and to ascertain any differences in behaviors. A coding scheme was developed to measure students' creative design thinking processes and spatial cognitive behaviors. Female senior students studying interior design at universities in Seoul participated in the study. They had all completed a basic modelling and sketching course. It was found that participants used digital tools as much as they did sketching in the early design process. The participants then used the digital tools to expand the visual notes that they developed during sketching while either reflecting on the design guidelines or thinking about the design. Further, duplex tool changeovers occurred naturally throughout the design process and allowed participants to find an appropriate solution and improved their creative thinking in the design processes. This research showed that interactions between sketching and digital tools have new potential in design processes and that each tool has different effects on students' design thinking and cognitive processes. Design education programmes and study guidelines should be developed to encourage students to creatively use design tools in the design process.

  • The COVID-19 pandemic have been spreading continuously across the world, hence it is difficult to expect coming to an end in a short period of time. The use of digital technology has shown tangible results in suppressing COVID-19, but raised privacy and data-protection concerns. In the context of the global efforts to deal with the coronavirus pandemic, various digital technologies are taking on a role in surveillance, monitoring, and forecasting. Also the Korea government manages Corona crisis based on legal basis. In this paper, Korea and each country's response to the Corona 19 pandemic are shown, and suggests ways to protect personal information while using digital tools. Large-scale data collection and processing is essential for the suppression of pandemic, but it should be limited to the level and scope required privacy. Also international cooperation, temporary and transparent use of personal information, the corresponding legal basis are necessary. As the use of data and algorithms is expected to continue to increase, technical and institutional efforts to reinforce privacy protection must continue.

  • This research is aimed to discuss for Korean cultural contents; symbol structure of Minwha painting which not only expresses openness, flexible expression and methods of communication of our ancestors but also possibly passes down as precious cultural heritage to modern society with new developed mediums. From this perspectives, as a method of research, modern jewelry design is created through digital process with linguistics analysis of its symbol structure that contains universal wishes of people. As a result, this research showed jewelry design and design process, titled "Blossom" and "Big Smile" grafting modern technology of 3D digital tool onto universal meaning symbolized by Peony flower, wealth and honor, and also grafted modern manufacturing methods of 3D printing and laser cut onto openness and flexible thinking in symbol structure in Minwha.

A Study on the Development of Media Information Literacy Concept and Educational Contents (미디어정보 리터러시 개념과 교육내용 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to define the concept of media information literacy and to develop educational content. To achieve the purpose of the study, literature analysis, interviews with field experts, and surveys with teacher librarians were conducted. The field experts recognized the media as a tool to use information and recognized information problem-solving skills, reading comprehension ability, media functions, case activities, and affective domain as the areas of media information literacy education. The teacher-librarians thought that information and media literacy which include its competency and educational content are more important than the digital literacy. As a result of the study, the concept of media information literacy was defined as knowledge, skills, and attitudes including the concepts of literacy, media literacy, information literacy, and digital literacy. In addition, educational contents of media information literacy were developed so that 'participation in democratic society', 'classification of media tools and contents', 'basic human rights', 'skills', 'digital tool manipulation' and 'information problem solving process' can be combined and applied in context.

  • Most of designers use applied software of computer programs instead of traditional tools such as brushes, poster colors, etc. for drawing and designing. For example applied software programs for design are applied the workings printing, presentation, movie, animation, character design as well as industrial design. Especially, quality of applied software programs in the field of visual communication design influence on the design results in future. Therefore, many college attempt to invest budget to inhrence the quality of software program in design education. However, effectiveness of investment is lowered due to the professional lack of software knowledge. This study tries to explore how the investment for software program in visual communication design becomes more effective, and to suggest how the order of software program, design curriculum through the affective computer usage in design education will be more useful than now. By comparing and contrasting the different cases in the computer environments of the colleges, this study was processing, the result of this study will contribute to the design education of visual communication.

  • 지금까지 디지털 기기의 진화 과정을 볼 때 오직 기능적 발전만이 추구되고 그것을 사용하는 사용방식에 대한 진지한 고민은 부재하였다. 때문에 디지털 기기가 갖고 있는 버튼 위주의 획일적 사용방식은 사용자보다는 기기 중심의 디자인이 우선시되는 사회적 병리현상을 야기하고 있다. 반면 오랜 기간 인간이 다루어 온 전통적인 아날로그 도구들은 작업의 특성과 작업자의 상황에 맞도록 다양한 사용성을 고려하며 진화되어 왔다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 사용자들에게 익숙한 아날로그적 경험을 디지털 기기의 인터랙션 디자인에 적용시켜 보다 인간 중심적인 디지털 도구를 제안 하고자 한다. 연구의 목표는 다양한 기능이 복합된 대표적 디지털 기기인 휴대폰에 아날로그 경험을 접목시킴으로써 전통적인 도구들과 같이 디지털 기기의 자연스러운 인터랙션 스타일을 디자인하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 한정된 디바이스로 다양한 기능들을 조작해야 하는 모바일 기기에 적합한 아날로그 경험들에 대한 연구가 진행되었고, 기호와 조합으로 이루어진 카드놀이 메타포에서 그 단서를 발견할 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구는 메타포로 제시한 카드놀이를 하며 일어나는 행위와 경험을 멀티미디어 휴대폰에 접목시켜 새로운 사용 방식을 제안하는 것이다. 예를 들어, 메뉴 선택의 경우 카드를 펼쳐 원하는 카드를 뽑으면 되는데 아래로 펼치면 그 카드의 수직 메뉴가, 옆으로 펼치면 그 카드의 수평 메뉴가 나타난다. 또 메뉴 안의 내용을 찾을 때는 카드를 뒤로 넘겨서 보게 되고 자신만의 개인적인 내용을 보고자 할 때는 카드를 은밀히 보는 듯한 행위를 취하면 된다. 즉 멀티미디어 폰 안의 내용뿐 아니라 사용하는 행위 자체도 하나의 즐거움이 되도록 카드놀이 경험을 새로운 인터랙션 스타일로 개발하여 그 가능성을 연구하였다.
