A Study on Reconstructing Impact Forces of an Aircraft Wing Using Impact Response Functions and Regularization Methods (충격응답함수와 조정법을 이용한 항공기 날개의 충격하중 복원 연구)

  • The capability for reconstructing impact forces of an aircraft wing using impact response functions and regularization methods were examined. The impact response function which expresses the relation between the structure response and the impact force was derived using the information on mass and stiffness data of a finite element model for the wing. Iterative Tikhonov regularization method and generalized singular value decomposition method were used to inverse the impact response function that was generally ill-posed. For the numerical verification, a fighter aircraft wing was used. Strain and deflection histories obtained from finite element analysis were compared with the results calculated using impact response functions. And the impact forces were reconstructed with the strain histories obtained from finite element analysis. The numerical verification results showed that this method can be used to monitor impact forces on aircraft structures.

Influence of Soil Nailing Angle on Slope Reinforcement Effect by Finite Difference Analysis (유한차분해석을 통한 쏘일네일링 설치각도가 사면 보강효과에 미치는 영향)

  • LEM (Limit Equilibrium Method) based programs are commonly used for the designs of soil nailing as a slope reinforcement. However, there is a drawback that the interaction between ground and soil nailing is not properly reflected in those programs, which needs to be solved. For economical constructions and designs, research is also required on the support pattern of soil nailing. In this study, therefore, reinforcement effects of soil nailing were compared and analyzed by performing finite difference analyses which could properly consider the interaction between ground and soil nailing. As a result, when the angle from slope to nail is $90^{\circ}$, failure slip surface becomes the largest and thus the factor of safety becomes maximum.

Three-dimensional Vibration Analysis of Circular Rings with an Elliptical or Circular Cross-section (타원형 또는 원형 단면을 가진 원형 링의 3차원적 진동해석)

  • A three-dimensional (3-D) method of analysis is presented for determining the free vibration frequencies and mode shapes of thick, complete (circumferentially closed), circular rings with an elliptical or circular cross-section. Displacement components $u_r,\;u_\theta\;and\;u_z$ in the radial, circumferential, and axial directions, respectively, are taken to be periodic in ${\theta}$ and in time, and algebraic polynomials in the r and z directions. Potential (strain) and kinetic energies of the circular rings are formulated, and upper bound values of the frequencies are obtained by minimizing the frequencies. As the degree of the polynomials is increased, frequencies converge to the exact values. Convergence to four-digit exactitude is demonstrated for the first five frequencies of the rings. Novel numerical results are presented for the circular rings having an elliptical cross-section based upon 3-D theory. Comparisons are also made between the frequencies from the present 3-D Ritz method and ones obtained from thin and thick ring theories, experiments, and another 3-D method.

A WDM Based Multichannel All-Optical Ring Network (파장 분할 다중화에 의한 다 채널 광 링 통신망의 성능 분석)

  • A multichannel optical slotted ring network is designed using a wavelength division multiplexing(WDM) technique and photonic packet switching devices. The electronics speed bottleneck is removed out of the ring, which allows utilization of the full bandwidth for the optical fiber transmission medium. The ring channel adopts a slotted ring concept with a destination cell remove strategy for the eing access mechanism. The slot size in the ring is selected as the same as that of ATM based cell in order to be used as B-ISDN Access Networks. In this paper, we devised a mathematical method to measure the average transfer delay characteristics of the network. The analytical method turned out to yield accurate results over a broad range of parameters in comparison to simulation results. From the study, we observed the average transfer delay of the network as the network parameters vary.

Structural Design and Analysis of a Hydraulic Coiling Arm for Offshore Wind-turbine Submarine Cable (해상풍력 해저케이블 하역용 유압식 코일링 암 구조설계 및 해석)

  • Structural design and analysis of a coiling arm unloading machine for submarine cable have been originally conducted in this study. Three-dimensional CAD modeling process is practically applied for the structural design in detail. Finite element method(FEM) and multi-body dynamics(MBD) analyses are also used to verify the safety and required motions of the designed coiling arm structure. The effective moving functions of the designed coiling arm with respect to rotational and radial motions are achieved by adopting bearing-roller mechanical parts and hydraulic system. Critical design loading conditions due to its self weight, carrying cables, offshore wind, and hydraulic system over operation conditions are considered for the present structural analyses. In addition, possible inclined ground conditions for the installation of the designed coiling arm are also considered to verify overturn stability. The present hydraulic type coiling arm system is originally designed and developed in this study. The developed coiling arm has been installed at a harbor, successfully tested its operational functions, and finished practical unloading mission of the submarine cable.

  • 디지털 측정장치의 발달에 따라 센서에서 출력되는 아날로그 신호를 디지털 신호로 변환하고, 이를 바탕으로 측정결과를 제시하는 경우가 많다. 그러나 아날로그 신호의 디지털화 과정에서는 정보의 유실이 생길 수밖에 없고, 또한 측정 헤드의 dimension 과 sampling interval 등과 같은 측정조건은 측정결과의 신뢰성에 많은 문제를 야기 시킨다. 본 연구에서는 새로운 측정방법을 바탕으로 시장-분산곡선과 Correlogram 법을 이용하여 그 특성을 해석하고, 데이터 샘플링 시 측정조건과 시료내의 변동성이 측정결과인 평균 굵기 및 굵기의 총분산에 미치는 영향을 찾아 보았다.(중략)

  • 최근에는 LiDAR 시스템의 등장으로 기존의 항공사진측량에 비하여 효율적이고, 경제적으로 도시지역의 수치표고자료를 효과적으로 구축할 수 있게 되었으나, 도시지역에서는 다양한 형태의 객체들이 모두 포함된 DSM(Digital Surface Model) 형식의 자료를 취득하게 된다. 따라서, 홍수범람예측에 있어서의 인공지물의 영향 해석 등을 위하여 건물이 제거된 지형에 관한 상세한 정보를 제공하기 위해서는 DSM으로부터 DEM(Digital Elevation Model)을 추출하기 위한 전처리 과정이 필요하다. 본 연구는 LiOAR 시스템으로부터 취득된 도시지역에 대한 DSM으로부터 건물 등이 제거된 DEM을 추출하기 위한 연구로서 영상처리기법의 경계검출 알고리즘을 적용하여 건물 등의 지물들에 대한 경계를 추출하였으며, 선행연구에서 건물로 추출된 지역에 대하여 보간법을 적용함으로써 발생하는 원시 DSM 자료의 변형에 따른 대안으로써, 추출된 경계에 대여 평균값 필터링, 중간 값 필터링, 최소 값 필터링을 각각 적용함으로써 원시 DSM 자료의 변형을 최소화하여 건물 등의 지물들을 제거하였으며, LiDAR DSM으로부터 DEM을 제작하는 과정을 간략화, 자동화하였다.

  • Using a mode-matching technique, a waveguide structure with multiple stubs which is utilized as the component of various communication systems has frequency filtering characteristics. We define a proper fitness function to automatically design the pass and stop bands of a waveguide structure with multiple stubs for frequency filtering and the genetic algorithm can be implemented with the fitness function proposed in this paper. The frequency filtering characteristics are numerically computed and parametric sweeps are also performed.

Mathematical Model for Dynamic Performance Analysis of Multi-Wheel Vehicle (다수의 바퀴를 가진 차량의 동적 거동 해석의 수학적 모델)

  • In this study, a simulation program is developed in order to investigate non steady-state cornering performance of 6WD/6WS special-purpose vehicles. 6WD vehicles are believed to have good performance on off-the-road maneuvering and to have fail-safe capabilities. But the cornering performances of 6WS vehicles are not well understood in the related literature. In this paper, 6WD/6WS vehicles are modeled as a 18 DOF system which includes non-linear vehicle dynamics, tire models, and kinematic effects. Then the vehicle model is constructed into a simulation program using the MATLAB/SIMULINK so that input/output and vehicle parameters can be changed easily with the modulated approach. Cornering performance of the 6WS vehicle is analyzed for brake steering and pivoting, respectively. Simulation results show that cornering performance depends on the middle-wheel steering as well as front/rear wheel steering. In addition, a new 6WS control law is proposed in order to minimize the sideslip angle. Lane change simulation results demonstrate the advantage of 6WS vehicles with the proposed control law.

스퍼터링 공정 중 알루미늄 타겟 오염이 알루미늄 산화막 증착에 미치는 영향

  • 알루미늄 산화막 스퍼터링 공정 중 타겟이 반응성이 있는 산소와 결합하여 산화되는 타겟 오염은 증착 효율의 감소[1]와 방전기 내 아크 발생을 촉진[2]하여 이를 억제하는 방법이 연구되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 알루미늄 산화막 증착 공정 중 타겟 오염 현상이 기판에 증착된 알루미늄 산화막 특성이 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 실험에는 알루미늄 타겟이 설치된 6 인치 웨이퍼용 직류 마그네트론 스퍼터링 장치를 활용하였다. 위 장치에서 공정 변수 제어를 통해 타겟 오염 현상의 진행 속도를 제어하였다. 공정 중 타겟 오염 현상을 타겟 표면 알루미나 형성에 따른 전압 강하로 관찰하였고 타겟 오염에 의한 플라즈마 변화를 원자방출분광법을 통해 관찰하였다. 이 때 기판에 증착 된 알루미나 박막의 화학적 결합 특성을 XPS depth로 측정하였으며, 알루미나 박막의 두께를 TEM을 통해 측정하였다. 측정 결과 타겟 오염 발생에 의해 공정 중 인가 전압 감소와 타겟 오염에 소모된 산소 신호의 감소가 타겟 오염 정도에 따라 변동되었다. 또한 공정 중 타겟 오염 정도가 클수록 기판에 증착한 막과 실리콘 웨이퍼 사이에 산소와 실로콘 웨이퍼의 화합물인 산화규소 계면의 형성 증가됨을 확인했다. 위 현상은 타겟 오염 과정 중 발생하는 방전기 내 산소 분압 변화와 막 증착 속도 변화가 산소의 실리콘 웨이퍼로의 확산에 영향을 준 것으로 해석되었다. 위 결과를 통해 스퍼터링 공정 중 타겟 오염 현상이 기판에 증착 된 알루미나 막 및 계면에 미치는 영향을 확인하였다.
