Evaluation of the Inputs Efficiency for the Interior Noise of the Vehicle using Vector Synthesis Method (벡터합성법을 이용한 차량 실내소음의 입력원 영향도 평가)

  • A passenger vehicle has various and complicated transmission paths of sound and vibration. In order to identify the mechanism of transfer path, estimation of excitation force and exact modeling of transfer path are required. In this paper vector synthesis technique is employed to identify the characteristics of road noise and its transmission to vehicle compartment through noise and vibration analysis. Vibration reduction efficiency of each transfer path is evaluated by comparing individual vector components obtained virtual simulation. The degree of effect is used to estimate the contribution of vibration input components to total output. And in this paper presents a new technique based on simulation studies using vector synthesis diagram and design of experiments, by which the effects of magnitude and phase change of input paths can be predicted.

  • With the study for identifying the transmission characteristics of vibration and noise generated by operating engine system of a vehicle, recently many engineers have studied actively the reduction of vibration and noise inducing uncomfortableness to the passenger. In this study, output noise was analyzed by multi-dimensional spectral analysis and vector synthesis method. The multi-dimensional analysis method is very effective in case of identification of primary source, but this method has little effect on suggestion for interior noised reduction. For compensation of this, vector synthesis method was used to obtain effective method for interior noise reduction, after identifying primary source for output noise. In this paper, partial coherence function of each input was calculated to know which input was most coherent to output noise, then with simulation of changes for input magnitude and phase by vector synthesis diagram, the trends of synthesized output vector was obtained. As a result, the change of synthesized output vector could be estimated.

  • General Mechanical Structures have various and complex vibration transmission paths. In order to identify the mechanism of vibration transmission. In this paper, vector synthesis technique is employed to identify the characteristics of vibration input and it's transmission to body structure for the mounting system of a compressor in a refrigerator. Vibration reduction efficiency of each transmission path is evaluated by comparing individual vector components obtained before and after the paths from experimental research. The degree of effect is used to estimate the contribution of vibration input components to total output. And this paper presents a new technique based on simulation studies using vector synthesis dragram, by which the effects of change of the magnitude and phase of transmission paths can be predicted.

  • In this paper, an effective mount design method using vector synthesis is presented for two mount systems. For designing mount stiffnesses effectively, we perform a sensitivity analysis, i.e, identify the contribution rate of an input component vector to the total output vector. Especially, we show that it is necessary to takea phase sensitivity into consideration in case of two mount systems, such as the excavator mount systems having engine mounts and cabin mounts. THe proposed method is testified is testified through an test bed.

  • The modeling of realistic water-jet geometry is needed in order to facilitate the design modifications. The present paper proposes a method of generating inlet geometry. Inlet duct was represented by NURBS method which utilized the skinning and local cubic interpolation scheme. Three test examples are presented demonstrating the effectiveness of the methods of skinning and local cubic interpolation. Computational examples associated with practical configurations have shown the usefulness of the present method.

Unsupervised Image Classification through Multisensor Fusion using Fuzzy Class Vector (퍼지 클래스 벡터를 이용하는 다중센서 융합에 의한 무감독 영상분류)

  • In this study, an approach of image fusion in decision level has been proposed for unsupervised image classification using the images acquired from multiple sensors with different characteristics. The proposed method applies separately for each sensor the unsupervised image classification scheme based on spatial region growing segmentation, which makes use of hierarchical clustering, and computes iteratively the maximum likelihood estimates of fuzzy class vectors for the segmented regions by EM(expected maximization) algorithm. The fuzzy class vector is considered as an indicator vector whose elements represent the probabilities that the region belongs to the classes existed. Then, it combines the classification results of each sensor using the fuzzy class vectors. This approach does not require such a high precision in spatial coregistration between the images of different sensors as the image fusion scheme of pixel level does. In this study, the proposed method has been applied to multispectral SPOT and AIRSAR data observed over north-eastern area of Jeollabuk-do, and the experimental results show that it provides more correct information for the classification than the scheme using an augmented vector technique, which is the most conventional approach of image fusion in pixel level.

  • This paper proposes a frequency transfer function synthesis of a later compensated PID controller for an approximated low order model. The proposed method identifies the parameter vector of PID controller from a linear system that is formed by rearranging a loop frequency transfer function synthesis including the filter compensated PID controller obtained from the given frequency response bounds. And an example for the turbine speed control system of Chungju hydropower plant is given to illustrate the feasibilities of suggested schemes.

  • 연속된 두 장의 레이더 반사도(합성 CAPPI)를 이용하여 설정된 두 윈도우 사이의 최대 상관계수를 찾아 냄으로써 강수의 움직임을 파악하는 기존의 TREC(Tracking Radar Echoes by Correlation) 기법은 단지 통계적인 상관법을 이용하여 산출된 TREC 벡터를 외삽하기 때문에 강우 시스템의 이동양상을 물리적으로 표현하는데 한계를 가질 뿐만 아니라 강수가 직선운동을 하는 것처럼 묘사될 수밖에 없는 기법의 한계성을지니고 있다. 본 연구에서는 도플러 레이더로부터 생산되는 시선속도를 이용하여 바람장을 산출하고 이를 TREC 벡터와 연계시켜 단시간 예보모형을 개선하고자 하였다. 시선속도는 레이더로부터 멀어지거나 다가오는 물체의 속도성분이며, 이를 이용하여 강수 영역 내의 바람장을 산출할 수 있다. 이러한 바람장 정보와 연계한 TREC 벡터의 개선은 단시간 강우 예보모형의 개선을 통하여 짧은 시간에 급격한 발달하는 집중호우 등에 대한 보다 정확한 예보를 가능하게 한다.
