  • The purpose of this study is to identify the optimal model to explain safety behavioral intention according to the recognition of safety communication in cabin through comparison of Planned behavioral theory and Triandis' theory of interpersonal behavior. In order to accomplish the study purpose, research model and hypothesis were established based on the previous research. As a result of the analysis, it was found that attitude and Perceived Behavioral Control had a positive effect on the safety behavioral intention. Triandis theory shows that social factors and habits have a positive impact on safety behavioral intention. In addition, A comparison of the two models confirms that both psychological processes of recognition and emotion are accompanied by the relationship between safety information awareness and safety behavioral intention.

  • An empirical study on railway controller and railway engineer who work in a domestic railway corporation was undertaken to verify the effects of emotional burnout and empowerment and organizational commitment on cooperation and safety behavior. The results of the analysis confirmed that the relations between emotional burnout, empowerment and organizational commitment as well as the relations between cooperation and safety behavior had negative effects. In contrast, the results of the analysis confirmed that empowerment and organizational commitment had positive effects on safety behavior and cooperation, and were effective because of all interactions among emotional burnout, safety behavior and cooperation. In conclusion this study convincingly demonstrates that emotional control, empowerment and organizational commitment of controller and engineer are important factors to secure safe operation of trains based on high safety behavior and cooperation behavior.

  • This study aimed to examine safety consciousness and practice of safety behaviors in new police officers and investigate the relationship between them. The subjects were 81 new police officers who understood the purpose of this study and agreed to participate. The collected data were analyzed by frequency, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation using the SPSS 22.0 program. The results of the study show that the safety consciousness of subjects was as high as 4.29 points. On the other hand, practice of safety behavior was moderate at 48.71 points. Fire safety consciousness was found to be different according to age and education level, and environmental safety action was significantly different according to gender and residence. Safety consciousness showed a significant correlation with practice of safety behavior. Based on the results, it is necessary to develop and apply more effective and practical safety related education for police officers in addition to technical and institutional aspects in order to promote safety awareness and safety behavior practice.

  • The aim of this analysis was to investigate the relationship between the level of safety behavior and the level of oral health behavior among Korean children. Data used in this analysis were from the 2005 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES). A representative sample of 4,292 children aged from three to eleven years who completed both health interview and health behavior survey. Simple and multiple logistic regression analyses were conducted. All analyses were weighted and SAS 9.1 survey data analysis procedures were used to estimate standard errors accounting for the complex sampling design of the KNHANES. More than seventy percent of children did not keep general safety behaviors except seat on back seat in a car. About seventy five percent of children had experience of preventive oral care during last one year, but about fifty six percent of children brush their teeth twice a day. Socioeconomic status and health behaviors were significantly related in three to six old age group only (p<.05). Generally significant relationship was not found between general safety and oral health behaviors. Among Korean children, general safety and oral health behaviors might be not related each other. Education for general safety behaviors should be underlined for all children. Especially preschool-children with low socioeconomic status need to be educated for healthy behaviors.

  • This study is to organize the manual for the safety accidents in campsite. For this, analyzing the types of safety accidents and reviewing the regulations of campsite. Through theoretical considerations, the problem was diagnosed and the elements of improvement were presented. Eventually, part of the Responsive and Preventative Behavior manuals were developed to organize 'Preparation Behavior Manual'. Especially, examples of safety accident prevention behavior manual were divided into: 1st, suffocation, 2nd, traffic accident, 3rd, fire, 4th, and electrical accident. "S.A.F.E.", An example, was created with the accident specific initials that were more frequently caused. Furthermore, it was emphasized that it is necessary to process of understood by the user. Subsequent studies recommended the study of cases, improvement of safety management indicators, and the specialization of campground manager and safety guard.
