A Study on Ship Collision Avoidance Algorithm by COLREG (국제해상충돌예방규칙에 따른 충돌회피 알고리즘에 관한 연구)

  • On the basis of DCPA(Distance to Closest Point of Approach) and TCPA(Time to CPA), the conventional algorithms for collision avoidances have a drawback that the '72 CORLEGs(International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, 1972) has not taken into account to prevent collisions between ships. In this paper, the proposed algorithm decides whether the own ship is a give-way vessel or a stand-on vessel by observing the relative bearing of the encountered ship. To determine the ship position and time for collision avoidance, the proposed algorithm utilizes the ellipse model for ship safety domain. The computer simulation is done to represent the process of adversive behavior. Using the proposed method, the past maritime accident is analyzed. The proposed method can be effectively applied to collision avoidance by CORLEGs even when the target ship's navigational lights is invisible in poor weather and/or in the restricted visibility.

  • 차선 검출을 위한 영상처리연구는 Hough Transform을 이용하는 방법과 주파수 변환 방법, 히스토그램을 이용하는 방법, 템플릿을 이용하는 방법등이 사용되고 있다. 차선 검출에 가장 많이 사용되는 Hough Transform은 연산 과정이 복잡하여 차량의 속도가 증가하면 실제 상황과 오차가 생길 확률이 높다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 영상을 분할하여 최소한의 영역을 처리하여 처리량을 줄였으며, 차선 이외의 선이 추출될 경우 그 선의 각도와 위치를 고려하여 연산에 방해되는 선을 삭제한다. 또한 고속으로 진행하는 차량의 경우, 점선으로 이루어져 선이 보이지 않는 부분에서는 차선의 인식이 불가능하여 위험한 상황을 초래한다. 따라서 최소한의 차선을 이용하여 차선을 연장하고, 여러 직선으로 곡선을 표현하여 차량 진행 방향을 예측할 수 있다.

A Study on Provision of Real-Time Safety Information Considering Real-Time Vehicular Data and Road Traffic Condition (실시간 차량정보 및 도로교통상황을 고려한 실시간 안전정보 제공에 관한 연구)

  • In order to lead safe driving, it is better to provide dynamic and detailed information on how the driver using the relevant road should behave as concerning movements of individual car rather than providing monotone and static information of reducing of speed to unspecified drivers. Assuming road and communication of highway where real-time collection and transfer of information on vehicles and road traffic status is possible, the purpose of this study was to provide real-time safe distance by considering road traffic condition such as road condition and driving condition, travel speed and distance between preceding/following vehicles. We intended to provide basic information about dangerous situation by defining different values of condition based column ($C_{condition}$) in accordance with the road surface condition, based on which Real-time Safety Distance Index(RSDI) is to be calculated comprehensively reflecting speed of preceding and following vehicles, distance between vehicles, vertical alignment and road surface condition on the scope of expression column ($C_n$). We intended to enable the driver to secure safety by providing the calculated Real-time Safety Distance Index (RSDI) so that the driver can intuitively sense and sufficiently cope with a dangerous situation where collision of vehicles may occur. The calculated RSDI value is comprised of 30 unit columns and will be provided to the driver being divided into risk evaluation grades of 3 predetermined steps, 'warning', 'dangerous' and 'normal'.

Unbalance Response Analysis of Copper Die Casting High Speed Induction Motor (동 다이캐스팅 고속 유도전동기의 불평형 응답 해석)

  • This paper deals with a copper die casting induction motor which has several advantages of motor performance. The developed motor is used as spindle motor in machining center. The dynamic characteristic analysis of rotor is dealt with for precision machining. The critical speed of rotor considering rotation and gyroscopic effect should be above operating speed, 18,000 rpm, and have a 201 % sufficient separation margin. Also, the 3-D unbalance vibration response analysis is performed and enabled the prediction of the expected vibration amplitude by unbalance in high speed. The unbalance vibration responses of each position on the rotor are satisfied with allowable vibration displacement of API 611 standard according to balancing G grade(G 0.4, G 2.5, G 6.3). Copper die casting high speed induction motor is successfully developed and verified by experiment.

A Study on Variable Speed Limit Considering Wind Resistance on Off-Shore Bridge (해상교량의 풍하중을 고려한 제한 속도 도출 방안)

  • Along the seashore regions in Korea, though strong winds with very large strength are frequently witnessed, no system which can provide appropriate speed information for driving vehicle has been introduced. The driving against strong winds could be very dangerous because of the high possibility of accidents such as rollover and collision. These accidents usually resulted from driver's forced driving try even in difficult situation for steering vehicle, and sometimes overspeed without consideration of wind impact to the vehicles. To reduce accident caused by strong winds, it is important to inform drivers of appropriate driving speeds by perceiving strong winds. By setting up WIS at the main points where strong winds frequently appear and using the variable message sign(VMS) connected to the on-line whether information system, it tis possible to provide desired speed information, which can maintain vehicles' tractive force and maximum running resistance. The case study is conducted on the case of Mokpo-Big-Bridge, which is under construction at Mokpo city. The result show that in case the annual average direction of wind is South and the wind speed is over 8m/hr, the desired speed, which is required in order for vehicles running to South direction to maintain the marginal driving power, is 60km/hr. In addition, for the case of a typhoon such as Memi generated in 2003 year, if wind speed had been 18m/sec in Mokpo city at that time, the running resistance at the speed of 40km/hr is calculated as 1131N. This resistance can not be overcome at the 4th gear(1054N) level, therefore, the gear of vehicles should be reduced down to the 3rd level. In this case, the appropriate speed is 40km/h, and at this point the biggest difference between running resistance and tractive force is generated.

  • 선로의 레일은 재료적인 특성과 현장의 많은 주변 요소에 의한 불확실성이 매우 높은 시스템으로 결함의 위험이 상존한다. 결함 발생과 조치에 따라 영업손실로 이어지므로 레일 결함 발생과 동시에 적절한 조치가 요구된다. 따라서 레일결함 발생 시 레일교환시기를 파악하는 것이 선로관리비용을 줄일 수 있으며 레일교환에 대한 신속한 판단을 위함 관리기준을 정립하는 것이 요구된다. 현재 국내에서 고속선의 경우 관리 기준이 있으나, 일반철도는 없는 실정이다. 본 연구는 차후 일반철도 180km/h 속도상승을 계획하고 있는 현 시점에 국외 관리기준을 분석하여 결함관리기준을 정립에 기여하고자 한다. 국내의 경우, 2004. 4. 1 프랑스 기술을 전수받아 개통한 고속선은 프랑스 레일관리기준을 적용한 "레일손상 등급별 관리기준"을 제정하여 레일관리를 시행하고 있다. 국외의 경우, INNOTRACK프로젝트 안에서 관련된 다른 IM(Infrastructure Managers, 사회기반시설 관리자들)에게 최근의 활동과 변화의 이해를 제공하기 위해서, 선택된 결함들의 최소조치들의 조사가 Network Rail, OBB, Prorail, Banverket 그리고 DB에서 수행되고 있으며 UIC 지침에도 포함되고 있다. 모든 최소조치 원칙은 초음파나 육안에 의해 발견된 길이나 초음파 또는 와류탐상기(eddy current system)를 이용한 깊이에 대한 제한(limits)을 준다. 또한 침목과 이음매 또는 용접부에 관한 위치에 관한 결함의 제한이 있다. 명시된 기간은 즉각적일 수도 있으며, 보통 속도 제한이나 비상 죔쇠(Clamps)같은 경감시키는 수단에 적용될 수 있으며, 또는 더 긴 기간이 될 수도 있다. 더 긴 기간들은 수리나 레일 교체를 통하여 선로로부터 결함이 제거되어야 하는 최대의 시간이다. 본 연구에서는 Transverse Breaks, Squats, Head Checks 3가지 결함 유형에 대해 각 국에서 사용하는 최소 조치를 비교하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 유럽에서는 레일결함에 대하여 깊이 있는 연구를 통하여 관리기준을 정하여 관리하고 있으며 이에 따라 상세하고 구체적인 레일 관리가 가능하므로 효율적이며 안전성이 제고되는 것으로 판단된다. 차후 일반철도의 180km/h 속도상승을 계획하고 있는 현 시점에서 국내철도 일반선 여건에 적합한 레일결함관리기준을 정립하기 위한 추가적인 연구가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

  • 청항선은 해상 부유물을 수거하는 배로서 청소과정에서 특성상 해상부유물로 인한 선체손상 또는 프로펠러 유입으로 사고의 위험이 있다. 따라서, 건조 시 이를 고려한 설계를 하거나 반영하여야 한다. 그러나 모형시험에서 구현의 문제와 많은 Case로 인해 시간과 비용에 많은 어려움이 있다. 따라서, 이를 예측하기 위해 최근 발전하고 있는 수치해석을 통해 해상 부유물을 구현하였다. 그 후 속도에 따라 부유물을 흘려 프로펠러 주변 유입여부를 확인하였다.

  • After drilling operations at the offshore plant, crude oil is producted under high pressure. After that time, oil recovery is reduced, because the pressure of the pipe inside is low during the secondary produce. At that time injection sea water at the pipe inside through water injection pump that the device increase to recovery. A variety of mathematical analysis during the detailed design analysis was not made through the dynamics characteristic at the domestic company. 2D model has reliability of analysis results for the uncomplicated model. Also element and the node the number of significantly less than in the 3D model. So, the temporal part is very effective. In addition, depending on the quality of mesh 3D is a real model and FEM model occurs error. So, user needs a lot of skill. In this paper, a 2D finite element analysis was performed through the dynamics analysis and the study model was validated.

  • 최근 우리나라에서는 가스사용시설의 확대, 석유화학 플랜트의 급격한 성장 및 LNG, 원유 등의 운반에 필요한 특수선의 증가등으로 인하여 사회 일상주변에 각종의 인화성 액체 또는 폭발성가스가 존재하는 기회가 많아 졌으며, 폭발성 위험물질의 취급이 점차 대규모화, 다양화, 복잡화 되어가고 있다. 이러한 현실속에서 폭발사고 방지에 대한 연구와 폭발성가스가 존재하거나 존재할 우려가 있는 위험장소에서 사용되는 방폭형 전기기기의 방폭성능에 대한 확인과 안전성을 평가하는 기술의 확립이 필요하다. (중략)

Rotordynamic Characteristics Analysis for API 610 BB5 Pump Development (API 610 BB5 펌프 개발을 위한 로터다이나믹 특성분석)

  • This paper deals with the detail rotordynamic analysis for BB5 eight stages pump as development of API 610 BB5 type pump. Dry-run analytical model, not considering operating fluid, and wet-run analytical model, considering operating fluid are established. In addition, plain circular and pressure dam bearings are chosen and it was discussed that each bearing has an effect on dynamic characteristics of pump rotor system. A rotordynamic analysis includes the critical speed map, Campbell diagram, stability, and unbalance response. As results, it was predicted that rated speed of the pump rotor passes through 1st critical speed in dry-run condition regardless of bearings, however, it was verified that, in wet-run condition, the rotor system doesn't have critical speeds even if more than twice rated speed. Hence the resonance problem caused by the critical speeds does not happen since actual operating is in wet-run condition including operating fluid. As a result of unbalance response analysis, the pump rotor has stable vibration response at rated speed, regardless of operating fluid and the proposed bearing types.
