  • An important assumption for the active power filter design using instantaneous power theory and the d-q transformation method in a 3-phase power system is based on balanced 3-phase system. However, under pratical conditions, the 3-phase power system can not be continuously balanced due to unbalanced loading. In this paper, a method to control the 3-phase active power filer using instantaneous power theory and the d-q transformation under unbalanced power system is presented and the theoretical results are verified by simulated results.

  • Unbalanced source voltages due to unbalanced loads in the 3-phase power system is decomposed into positive, negative and zero sequence components. Also, assuming there is no neutural path in the system, the zero sequence component is not shown. Therefore, it is possible to compensate unbalanced source voltage by canceling the negative sequency component of the voltages of the source. In this paper, an algorithm compensating unbalanced source voltages by canceling the negative sequence component is presented and analysis of instantaneous voltage compensator using 3-phase PWM inverter is carried out through computer simulation.

  • In this paper, the way that input voltage and input line current as a control variable is provided as one unit is projected. Till no, have denied with three phase balanced load. But, in that case, total power factor compensation is difficult, for to control each phase at unbalanced load. Therefor, in this paper suggest of the scheme that three phase unbalanced load is controlled by each phase and input total power factor is compensated unit input factor. therefore, in this paper suggest that three phase unbalanced load is controlled and the method in compensation of unit input factor to be attended by unbalanced load. Besides, the object of control is calculating quantity for input voltage and input line current for the point at issuse make to improve of control method at unbalanced load. As a result, control system of each phase could maintain as a unit input total power factor has been state diviation error of 2% with unbalanced load.

  • Most of the loads in industrial power distribution systems are balanced and connected to three power systems. However, in the user power distribution systems, most of the loads are single & three phase and unbalanced, generating voltage unbalance. This paper presents a scheme on operation states of a three-phase induction motor under unbalanced voltages. The three-phase voltages applied to the stator winding of the studied induction motor are controlled by respectively adjusting the magnitude and phase angle of each phase. The voltage unbalanced factor(VUF) of the three-phase source voltages can then be varied to examine the different values of VUF on machine's operation characteristics.

  • This paper presents a study on the assessment of fuzzy measure possibility for the electromagnetic field of unbalanced system. It takes into account m untransposed transmission line and unbalanced load. A three phase load flow program was developed which employs a Newton-Raphson method as a tool to analyze system unbalanced. This research presents a method of handling two coupled three phase transmission system unbalance analysis and unbalanced power demand as a function of voltages. In assessment of fuzzy measure possibility for the electromagnetic field, this paper use probability of fuzzy and measure of fuzziness technique.

Phase Shift Analysis and Phase Identification for Distribution System with 3-Phase Unbalanced Constant Current Loads

  • Power grids are large complicated networks in use around. An absolute phase value for a particular unknown-phase line at a local site should be identified for the operation and management of a 3-phase distribution network. The phase shift for a specific point in the line, as compared with a phase reference point at a substation, must be within a range of ${\pm}60^{\circ}$ for correct identification. However, the phase shift at a particular point can fluctuate depending on the line constants, transformer wiring method, line length, and line amperage, etc. Conducted in this study is a theoretical formulation for the determination of phase at a specific point in the line, Simulink modeling, and analysis for a distribution network. In particular, through evaluating the effects of unbalanced current loads, the limitations of the present phase identification methods are described.

  • 3산 전력 시스템에서 불평형 전원의 전압은 대칭좌표법에 의하여 정상, 역상, 영상성분으로 각각 분해 될 수 있고 또한 전력 시스템에 중성선이 없는 경우 영상성분은 부하측에 나타나지 않게 된다. 따라서 중성선이 없는 불평형 시스템에서는 전원측의 역상성분만을 검출하여 보상함으로써 부하측에 평형된 전압을 공급할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 정상성분의 크기를 제어함으로써 부하에 인가되는 전압의 크기를 조정하는 것이 가능하다. 아울러 이러한 불평형 전압에 의한 각 대칭분은 3상 2상 변환을 통한 동기좌표축상에서의 효율적인 검출이 가능한데, 본 논문에서는 전원의 불평형 성분을 동기좌표축 상에서 순시적으로 검출하여 이를 보상하고 부하의 전압조정 기능 역시 수행하는 순간전압보상기의 보상 알고리즘 및 이때 좌표변환시 필요한 전원의 위상각 정보를 전원의 정상성분에 일치시키는 새로운 위상각 검출 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 보상 시스템의 성능 및 특성을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 해석하고 실험으로써 검증하였다.

  • The dynamic characteristics of a three phase induction motor which is applied by various unbalanced voltages are simulated and analyzed in this paper. The voltage equations and torque equation in the dq stationary reference frame for the three phase star connected induction motor are used in this analysis. MATLAB and SIMULINK are employed as a simulation tool. The dynamic characteristics of speed and torque are simulated for various unbalanced voltages, that is, (1) cases with the same unbalance voltage factor but different unbalanced voltages, (2) cases with only one unbalanced voltages but different degree of unbalance, and (3) cases with the same positive sequence voltage but different negative sequence voltages. The simulated results are compared and analyzed with each other, and also with the results of balanced voltage.

  • This paper describes the implementation of 3-phase 3-wire active power filter system with a instantaneous PSD for distorted and unbalanced power conditions. The positive sequence voltage of the distorted and the unbalanced power system Is calculated by the instantaneous PSD, and phase transformation matrix of the instantaneous power theory is achieved with detected positive sequence voltage. Finally, the proposed method is experimented and tested under unbalanced nonlinear load as well as unbalanced/distorted condition in power system.

  • 본 연구에서는 왜형되고 불평형인 전원의 정상분 순시전압 검출기법(Detection Method of Instantaneous Positive Sequence Voltage : PSD)에 의한 3상 3선 능동전력필터 시스템을 제작하였다. 불평형 및 왜형된 전원전압은 PSD에 의하여 정상분 순시전압을 실시간으로 검출한 후 순시전력이론의 상변환 행렬을 연산하고 있으며, 따라서 왜형되고 불평형된 전원조건에 순시전력이론을 적용하기 위하여 종전의 순시전력이론의 수학적인 구조를 변경할 필요가 없다. 본 연구에서 구현된 방법의 타당성을 입증하기 위해, 왜형된 B상 전압을 20% 증가시킨 전원과 불평형 비선형 부하 조건하에서 정상상태 및 과도상태의 실험을 수행하였으며, PSD가 없는 방법에 비하여 구현된 방법의 유용성을 입증할 수 있었다.
