  • The object of the present paper is to study almost pseudo conharmonically symmetric manifolds. Some geometric properties of almost pseudo conharmonically symmetric manifolds have been studied under certain curvature conditions. Finally, we give three examples of almost pseudo conharmonically symmetric manifolds.

  • A complete invariant defined for (closed connected orientable) 3-manifolds is an invariant defined for the 3-manifolds such that any two 3-manifolds with the same invariant are homeomorphic. Further, if the 3-manifold itself can be reconstructed from the data of the complete invariant, then it is called a characteristic invariant defined for the 3-manifolds. In a previous work, a characteristic lattice point invariant defined for the 3-manifolds was constructed by using an embedding of the prime links into the set of lattice points. In this paper, a characteristic rational invariant defined for the 3-manifolds called the characteristic genus defined for the 3-manifolds is constructed by using an embedding of a set of lattice points called the PDelta set into the set of rational numbers. The characteristic genus defined for the 3-manifolds is also compared with the Heegaard genus, the bridge genus and the braid genus defined for the 3-manifolds. By using this characteristic rational invariant defined for the 3-manifolds, a smooth real function with the definition interval (-1, 1) called the characteristic genus function is constructed as a characteristic invariant defined for the 3-manifolds.

  • It is well-known that the most interesting non-integrable almost Hermitian manifold are the nearly Kaehlerian manifolds ([2] and [3]), and that there exists a complex but not a Kaehlerian structure on Riemannian product manifolds of two normal contact manifolds [4]. The purpose of the present paper is to study nearly Kaehlerian product manifolds of two almost contact metric manifolds and investigate the geometrical structures of these manifolds. Unless otherwise stated, we shall always assume that manifolds and quantities are differentiable of class $C^{\infty}$. In Paragraph 1, we give brief discussions of almost contact metric manifolds and their Riemannian product manifolds. In paragraph 2, we investigate the perfect conditions for Riemannian product manifolds of two almost contact metric manifolds to be nearly Kaehlerian and the non-existence of a nearly Kaehlerian product manifold of contact metric manifolds. Paragraph 3 will be devoted to a proof of the following; A conformally flat compact nearly Kaehlerian product manifold of two almost contact metric manifolds is isomatric to a Riemannian product manifold of a complex projective space and a flat Kaehlerian manifold..

  • Recently P. Ozsv$\'{a}$th Z. Szab$\'{o}$ proved higher type adjunction inequalities for embedded surfaces in 4-manifolds of non-simple type. The aim of this short paper is to give a simple and direct proof of such higher type adjunction inequalities for smoothly embedded surfaces with negative self-intersection number in smooth 4-manifolds of non-simple type. This will be achieved through a relation between the Seiberg-Witten invariants used to get adjunction inequalities of 4-manifolds of simple type and a blow-up formula.

  • The object of the present paper is to study N(${\kappa}$)-quasi Einstein manifolds. Existence of N(${\kappa}$)-quasi Einstein manifolds are proved. Physical example of N(${\kappa}$)-quasi Einstein manifold is also given. Finally, Weyl-semisymmetric N(${\kappa}$)-quasi Einstein manifolds have been considered.

  • We introduce CR, SCR and GCR-lightlike submanifolds of indefinite nearly Kaehler manifolds and obtain their existence in indefinite nearly Kaehler manifolds of constant holomorphic sectional curvature $c$ and of constant type ${\alpha}$. We also prove characterization theorems on the existence of totally umbilical and minimal GCR-lightlike submanifolds of indefinite nearly Kaehler manifolds.

  • In the present paper, we study 𝜂-Ricci solitons on para-Kenmotsu manifolds with Codazzi type of the Ricci tensor. We study 𝜂-Ricci solitons on para-Kenmotsu manifolds with cyclic parallel Ricci tensor. We also study 𝜂-Ricci solitons on 𝜑-conformally semi-symmetric, 𝜑-Ricci symmetric and conformally Ricci semi-symmetric para-Kenmotsu manifolds. Finally, we construct an example of a three-dimensional para-Kenmotsu manifold which admits 𝜂-Ricci solitons.

  • In this paper, we study almost complex Norden Silver manifolds and Kaehler-Norden Silver manifolds. We define adapted connections of first, second and third type to an almost complex Norden Silver manifold and establish the necessary and sufficient conditions for the integrability of almost complex Norden Silver structure. Moreover, we investigate that a complex Norden Silver map is a harmonic map between Kaehler-Norden Silver manifolds.

  • The hermitian structures on complex manifolds have been studied by several mathematicians ([1], [2], and [3]), and the Kähler structure on hermitian manifolds have been so much too ([6], [12], and [15]). There has been some gradual progress in studying the invariant forms on Grassmann manifolds ([17]). The purpose of this dissertation is to prove the Theorem 3.4 and the Theorem 4.7, with relation to the nature of complex Grassmann manifolds. In $\S$ 2. in order to prove the Theorem 4.7, which will be explicated further in $\S$ 4, the concepts of the hermitian structure, connection and curvature have been defined. and the characteristic nature about these were proved. (Proposition 2.3, 2.4, 2.9, 2.11, and 2.12) Two characteristics were proved in $\S$ 3. They are almost not proved before: particularly. we proved the Theorem 3.3 : $G_{k}(C^{n+k})=\frac{GL(n+k,C)}{GL(k,n,C)}=\frac{U(n+k)}{U(k){\times}U(n)}$ In $\S$ 4. we explained and proved the Theorem 4. 7 : i) Complex Grassmann manifolds are Kahlerian. ii) This Kähler form is $\pi$-fold of curvature form in hyperplane section bundle. Prior to this proof. some propositions and lemmas were proved at the same time. (Proposition 4.2, Lemma 4.3, Corollary 4.4 and Lemma 4.5).
