An Exploratory Study on The Effects of Early AR Users' Attributes on AR Contents Adoption and Usage -Focusing on AR Contents Users' Perception and Experience (AR 초기 이용자들의 속성이 AR콘텐츠 채택과 이용에 미치는 영향에 관한 탐색적 연구 -AR콘텐츠 이용자들의 이용 인식과 이용 경험을 중심으로)

  • Focusing on the situation where there are not many actual users of VR / AR, this study, from the viewpoint of technology adoption and use, explores the adoption-and-use process of AR contents that can be easily accessed by using smartphones. As a result, the factors influencing the necessity of AR contents were 'enjoyment' and 'satisfaction', and other factors, such as 'innovativeness', 'the experience of using similar media', and 'the number of AR usage', did not have significant impact on the necessity of AR contents. In addition, as a result of verifying level differences in 'enjoyment', 'satisfaction' and 'necessity' according to the experience of using AR content, only the 'enjoyment' and 'satisfaction' showed that there are differences. In other words, it can be interpreted that the users in their 20s actively use AR content only when they expect to have fun and satisfaction. To sum up, this study can provide an important implication for understanding the tendency of early AR content users' perception and usage behavior.

  • Awareness of Korean VR/AR industry has been spread via the success of PokemonGo syndrome. In accordance with the increase in interest VR/AR ecosystem in the domestic VR/AR industry is to equip the global competitiveness of C-P-N-D aspect is essential. This paper analyzes the state VR/AR industrial ecosystem status in the C-P-N-D perspective and examines the government and the local governments of VR / AR content policy in supporting ecological point of view. Especially, the importance of the platform and IP has been noted based on VR/AR industry.

AR-Based Character Tracking Navigation System Development (AR기반 캐릭터 트래킹 네비게이션 시스템 개발)

  • In this study, real-time character navigation using AR lens developed by Nreal is developed. Real-time character navigation is not possible with general marker-based AR because NPC characters must guide while moving in an unspecified space. To replace this, a markerless AR system was developed using Digital Twin technology. Existing markerless AR is operated based on hardware such as GPS, gyroscope, and magnetic sensor, so location accuracy is low and processing time in the system is long, which results low reliability in real-time AR environment. In order to solve this problem, using the SLAM technique to construct a space into a 3D object and to construct a markerless AR based on point location, AR can be implemented without any hardware intervention in a real-time AR environment. This real-time AR environment configuration made it possible to implement a navigation system using characters in tourist attractions such as Suncheon Bay Garden and Suncheon Drama Filming Site.

  • 최근 스마트폰 기반의 AR(Augmented Reality) 기술이 이슈화됨에 따라 센서 기반의 AR 콘텐츠들이 빠르게 등장하고 있다. 그러나 센서 기반의 AR 기술인 P-AR(Pseudo AR)은 본질적인 AR이 구현되지 못하는 현실의 대안으로 사용되고 있으며, 실제 영상제어를 통한 AR 기술인 V-AR(Vision AR)은 기술개발이 진행 중에 있다. 이러한 예로 ARToolkit 등 AR을 제어할 수 있는 툴들이 개발 진행 중인데, 센서를 통해 이벤트를 발생시킬 수 있는 P-AR 기술에 반해 V-AR은 영상 자체에서 이벤트를 제어해야 하므로 상대적으로 구현이 어렵기 때문이다. V-AR에서 영상을 제어하기 위해서는 기본적으로 영상에서 잡음 제거, 특정객체 인식, 객체 분석 등이 요구된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 향후 다가올 V-AR 기술에 대비하여 영상에서 배경 제거, 특정객체 인식, 객체 분석 등 효율적인 AR 영상제어를 할 수 있는 CV 기반 실시간 영상 분석 시스템의 프로토타입을 개발하였다.

Tectonic Implication of 40Ar/39Ar Hornblende and Muscovite Ages for Granitic Rocks in Southwestern Region of Ogcheon Belt, South Korea (옥천대 남서부지역에 분포하는 화강암류의$^{40}Ar/^{39}Ar$ 각섬석-백운모 연령에 대한 지구조적 의미)

  • $^{40}Ar/^{39}Ar$ analytical data of hornblende and muscovite separates from granitic rocks in southwestern region of Ogcheon belt shows fellowing tectonic implication, $^{40}Ar/^{39}Ar$ data of 5 samples yield apparent age spectra and $^{37}Ar_{ca}/^{39}Ar_k$ and $^{38}Ar_{CI}/^{39}Ar_k$ plateaus for more than 60% of the $^{39}Ar$ release. Except for HN-100, the $^{36}Ar/^{40}Ar$ versus $^{39}Ar/^{40}Ar$ corelalation diagrams indicate the presence of one distint line. Muscovite of sample PKJ-44 yield flate apparent age plateau for > 60% of the $^{39}Ar_k$ release. In the high temperature steps, the $^{37}Ar_{ca}/^{39}Ar_k$ values are irregular with a correlative increase in $^{38}Ar_{CI}/^{39}Ar_k$, suggesting some Ca and CI rich phase, tapped between the silicate sheet is being argon degassed. The $^{40}Ar/^{39}Ar$ total gas age and the high temperature age of HN-100 is 918.2 Ma and 1360 Ma, respectively. The former affectted by recystallized age of Daebo Orogeny, and the latter indicated age of hornblende closure temperature for cooling stage of amphibole xenolith in granite gneiss. Three rock types of Kwangju granites show about 165 Ma hornblende and muscovite ages with some degassed argon at low temperature steps. These ages of 4 samples indicate also recrystallized age by Daebo Orogeny. In $^{40}Ar/^{39}Ar$ mineral age, Rb/Sr whole age and K/Ar mineral age, discordant ages of southwestern region of Ogcheon belt suggesting cooling rates approaching 3~4$^{\circ}C$/m. y. Such slow cooling rates can be produced by uplift rate of 100m/m.y. or slightly slower than isothem-migration rate derived from the hornblende samples. We conclude that the strongest Orogeny and igneous activity of southwestern region of Ogcheon belt are middle proterozoic era (about 1360 Ma) and middle Jurassic period (about 165 Ma).

  • Augmented Reality (AR) is a crucial technology in the Fourth Industrial Revolution that can revolutionize the existing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) market and powerfully create a new market However, it is hard to find the clear answer for AD/PR strategies in the rapidly changing AR market. Thus this research explores the big picture of the AR industry as it pertains to Politics, Economy, Social, and Technology through in-depth interview with seven AR experts who are leading the domestic AR market. The research also analyzes the AR market's Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. Furthermore, it looks for strategies to vitalize the advertising and PR industry by analyzing the Contents, Platform, Network, and Devices of the AR ecosystem. The results of the research indicate a need for the government's strengthened policy of supporting the AR market, fostering of pace-setting killer contents, connecting services of several industries through AR platforms, strengthening the network of communication systems such as through 5G, and the commercialization and industrialization of domestic devices in order to vitalize the AR industry in its marketing and PR spheres. Therefore, this research suggests measures to revitalize the marketing and PR industries of the AR ecosystem, which has only recently gotten to its developing stage and provides an academic as well as practical foundation for future research in the field of AR.

The Late Cretaceous Emplacement Age of Masan Hornblende-Biotite Granite (마산 각섬석-흑운모 화강암의 연령: 후기 백악기 정치연령)

  • We have dated the K-Ar, Ar-Ar and U-Pb ages of the Masan hornblende-biotite granite in the southern Cretaceous Gyeongsang basin to constrain its emplacement age. The ~108 Ma hornblende K-Ar age obtained in the study is similar to the previously reported Rb-Sr age. However, the single grain total fusion $^{40}Ar/^{39}Ar$ dating on hornblende failed to yield statistically meaningful ages because the isotopic system was open during its alteration. Thus the hornblende K-Ar age in the study is also unlikely to be reliable. The single grain total fusion $^{40}Ar/^{39}Ar$ dating on biotite yielded an average age of $75.8{\pm}3.0Ma$. Apart from scattered data in the range of ~45-75 Ma, the average age increased to ~80 Ma. The SHRIMP and LA-MC-ICPMS U-Pb isotopic compositions of zircon from the Masan hornblende-biotite granite yielded its emplacement age as $87.6{\pm}2.7Ma$ and $86.8{\pm}0.4Ma$, respectively. It is thus likely that the ~80 Ma $^{40}Ar/^{39}Ar$ age of biotite might reflect the cooling age of Masan hornblende-biotite granite or the thermal influences from later intense igneous activities in the Gyeongsang basin.

Design and Implementation of Interactive Mobile AR Contents Builder (인터랙티브 모바일 AR 콘텐츠 빌더의 설계 및 구현)

  • 본 논문에서는 모바일 AR 프로그래밍에 대한 지식이 없는 사용자가 쉽게 모바일 AR 콘텐츠 제작을 할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 마커와 가상모델 그리고 인터랙션의 형태와 가상모델의 반응형태를 인터랙티브하게 연결하는 인터랙티브 모바일 AR 콘텐츠 빌더 프로토타입을 설계 및 구현하였다. 우선, 모바일 AR 콘텐츠에서 인터랙션과 반응형태를 분석하기 위하여, 시중에 유통되고 있는 AR 앱들을 수집하여 앱의 특성에 따라 유형을 분류하고, 유형별 사용되는 인터랙션의 종류 및 반응형태를 조사하였다. 조사내용을 바탕으로 사용되는 모바일 AR 콘텐츠 빌더에 포함시킬 인터랙션의 종류 및 반응형태의 메뉴항목들을 설계하였고, 단위 AR 객체를 정의하기 위한 클래스와 이를 저장할 데이터베이스 테이블을 설계하였다. 또한, 정의된 단위 AR 객체의 내용을 다른 응용 프로그램들에서 쉽게 읽고, 가시화 시킬 수 있는 모바일 AR 가시화 클래스를 포함한 모바일 AR 콘텐츠 빌더 프로토타입을 구현하였다.

A Study on the Quality Model for Testing of Augmented Reality Contents (AR 콘텐츠의 테스팅을 위한 품질모델 연구)

  • AR을 기반으로 하는 현실과 가상세계가 공존하는 콘텐츠들이 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 AR 콘텐츠에 대한 체계적인 테스팅에 대한 필요성도 증가하고 있다. 소프트웨어 테스팅과 관련한 품질특성은 ISO/IEC 25010에서 정의하고 있다. 기존의 연구에서 ISO/IEC 25010을 기반으로 AR의 테스팅에 적용할 수 있는 품질특성을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 연구에서 제안한 AR 테스팅 품질특성에 신뢰성과 보안성을 보완할 것을 제안한다. 이러한 품질특성으로 고려하여 AR의 테스팅에 필요한 테스트 케이스를 개발하고 실행한다면 보다 체계적인 테스팅이 가능할 것이다.
