  • PMO expressions for ${\pi}^{\ast}$-${\pi}^{\ast}$ orbital interaction have been derived. Important differences between ${\pi}$-${\pi}$ and ${\pi}^{\ast}$-${\pi}^{\ast}$ interactions predicted by PMO expressions are : (ⅰ) energy splitting in ${\pi}^{\ast}$-${\pi}^{\ast}$ interaction will be greater than that in ${\pi}$-${\pi}$ interaction, (ⅱ) energy change due to interaction will be more destabilizing in ${\pi}^{\ast}$-${\pi}^{\ast}$ than in ${\pi}$-${\pi}$ interaction. These predictions were borne out in experimental data and in results of MO theoretical computations. It was pointed out that both STeO-3G and INDO-LCBO methods underestimate ${\pi}^{\ast}$-${\pi}^{\ast}$ orbital interaction and in order to estimate properly with MO theoretical calculation, use of split valence basis set is required.

  • The persistent increase of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) due to the presence of a macro-AST can confuse diagnostic or therapeutic decisions in many clinical situations. In this study, we report a case of isolated and persistent AST-elevation without any clinical sign of dysfunction in organs such as the liver, skeletal muscle, cardiac muscle, etc. Despite various investigations, no definite cause for the elevation of AST could be found. With the help of polyethylene glycol (PEG) precipitation, we showed that macro-AST formation was responsible for the elevation of the AST titer in this case. Early recognition of macro-AST by PEG precipitation can prevent diagnostic confusion and unnecessary and even invasive tests.

  • Near Field Communication has been emerged as a spectacular phenomenon. The aim of this study is to determine the factors influencing the adoption of NFC-enabled mobile payment. In order to analyze, this study proposes a research framework based on Technology Acceptance Model. 353 valid data were collected through the Internet who has used NFC technology. Results show that relative advantage, social influence, and technology availability have a significant effect on perceived usefulness ($0.190{\ast}{\ast}{\ast}$, $0.211{\ast}{\ast}{\ast}$, $0.227{\ast}{\ast}{\ast}$respectively). However, for perceived ease of use, only relative advantage and social influence were verified to have significant influence. Perceived ease of use significantly influence perceived usefulness ($0.348{\ast}{\ast}{\ast}$), and both of them significantly affect the NFC-payment adoption intention ($0.199{\ast}{\ast}$, $0.361{\ast}{\ast}{\ast}$). The results also verified the moderator variable of personal innovativeness ($0.20{\ast}{\ast}{\ast}$ and $0.297{\ast}{\ast}{\ast}$respectively).

  • Let A be a Banach $^{\ast}$-algebra and C(t) be a closed $^{\ast}$-subalgebra of A gengerated by $t{\in}A$. A is locally $B^{\ast}$-equivalent [$B^{\ast}$-equivalent] if C(t) [A] for every hermitian element t is $^{\ast}$-isomorphic to some $B^{\ast}$-algebra. It was proved that the locally $B^{\ast}$-equivalent algebras with some conditions is $B^{\ast}$-equivalent by B. A. Barnes. In this paper, we obtain the some conditions for a locally $B^{\ast}$-equivalent algebra to be $B^{\ast}$-equivalent.

  • It is shown that for an almost algebra homomorphism between Banach algebras, there exists a unique algebra homomorphism near the almost algebra homomorphism. Moreover, we prove that for an almost algebra ${\ast}$-homomorphism between $C^{\ast}$-algebras, there exists a unique algebra ${\ast}$-homomorphism near the almost algebra ${\ast}$-homomorphism, and that for an almost algebra ${\ast}$-homomorphism between $JB^{\ast}$-algebras, there exists a unique algebra ${\ast}$-homomorphism near the almost algebra ${\ast}$-homomorphism.

  • An experimental study was performed to investigate the effects of partially premixing, varying the equivalence ratios from $0.79{\sim}{\infty}$, on NOx emissions and chemiluminescence of excited $OH^{\ast},\;CH^{ast}\;C_2^{\ast}$ radicals in laminar partially premixed flames. the signal from the electronically excited state of $OH^{\ast},\;CH^{ast}\;C_2^{\ast}$ was detected through a band pass filter with a photo multiplier tube, which are processed to the intensity ratio ($C_2^{\ast}/CH^{\ast},\;C_2^{\ast}/OH^{\ast},\;and\;CH^{\ast}/OH^{\ast}$) to reveal the correlation with local equivalence ratio. And measurements of NOx emission were made to investigate the relationship between visible flame appearance, chemiluminescence, and EINOX. The results demonstrated that (1) the flames at ${\phi}<1.59$ exhibited classical double flame structure, at ${\phi}>4.76$, the flames exhibited diffusion flame structure, and the intermediate flames at $1.59<{\phi}<4.76$ was a merged flame, (2) the $OH^{\ast}$ peak was located inside the $CH^{\ast}\;and\;C_2^{\ast}$ radical for all measured conditions and the emission intensity ratio of $C_2^{\ast}/CH^{\ast}\;and\;C_2^{\ast}/OH^{\ast}$ were identified as good marker for local equivalence ratio over a range of ${\phi}=0.79{\sim}1.2\;and\;CH^{\ast}/OH^{\ast}\;is\;0.79<{\phi}<1.9$. However, it was difficult to predict the equivalence ratio in partially premixed flames using this system for ${\phi}>2.38$, (3) the minimum NOX emission index (EINOx) is obtained for a equivalence ratio of 3.19 in the intermediate flames.

  • Let R ⊆ L ⊆ S be ring extensions. Two star operations ${\ast}_1{\in}Star(R,S)$, ${\ast}_2{\in}Star(L,S)$ are said to be linked if whenever $A^{{\ast}_1}= R^{{\ast}_1}$ for some finitely generated S-regular R-submodule A of S, then $(AL)^{{\ast}_2}=L^{{\ast}_2}$. We study properties of linked star operations; especially when ${\ast}_1$ and ${\ast}_2$ are strict star operations. We introduce the notion of Prüfer star multiplication extension ($P{\ast}ME$) and we show that under appropriate conditions, if the extension R ⊆ S is $P{\ast}_1ME$ and ${\ast}_1$ is linked to ${\ast}_2$, then L ⊆ S is $P{\ast}_2ME$.

  • Let($X^{\ast},\tau^{\ast}$) be the space with one point Lindeloffication topology of space (X,$\tau$). This paper offers the definition of the space with one point Lin-deloffication topology of a topological space and proves that the retraction regu-lar closed function f: $K^{\ast}(X^{\ast}$) defined f($A^{\ast})=A^{\ast}$ if p $\in A^{\ast}$ or ($f(A^{\ast})=A^{\ast}-{p}$ if $p \in A^{\ast}$ is a homomorphism. There are two examples in this paper to show that the retraction regular closed function f is neither a surjection nor an injection.

  • An experimental study was performed to investigate the effects of partially premixing, varying the equivalence ratios from $1.36{\sim}{\infty}$, and swirlers with swirl numbers of 0, 0.28, 0.64, and 1.32, on the characteristic of radical ($OH^{\ast}$, $CH^{\ast}$, and $C_2^{\ast}$) and pollutant emission in partially premixed swirling flames. The signal from the electronically excited state of $OH^{\ast}$, $CH^{\ast}$, and $C_2^{\ast}$ was detected through a band pass filter with a photo multiplier tube, and flow fields images were detected through a schlieren system. The results demonstrated that the flame height decreases and jet spreading angle increase with increasing a swirl number. The more momentum ratio and swirl number increase, the more decrease flame height, and the generation of sooting flame is promoted.
