바이모달 트램 구동축 서브프레임에 적용된 용접 사각관의 굽힘 특성 평가 (An Evaluation of Bending Performance of Welded Square Tube Structures for Drive Shaft Sub Frame of BIMODAL Tram)

  • This paper describes the results of experiments on the bending behavior of welded square tube structures for drive shaft sub frame of BIMODAL Tram. The used specimens to test were two different type made of ATOS60 and ST52-3. The square tube made of ST52-3 is the non-welded structure, while the square tube made of ATOS60 is the welded structure. The welded square tube made of ATOS60 will be applied for drive shaft sub frame of BIMODAL Tram. This welded square tube could reduce the manufacturing cost in comparison of non-welded square tube. The results showed that the bending performance of welded square tube made of ATOS60 was proven, and the bending behavior was in an good agreement with that of nonlinear finite element analysis.

중장비용 고강도 열연강재의 용접부 특성 (The mechanical properties of welded joint in high strength hot rolled steel for heavy machinary)

  • 최근 연비 향상 및 배기가스 저감을 위한 친환경 경량 굴삭기에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이러한 시도는 굴삭기의 소재의 강도를 490MPa급에서 700MPa급으로 고강도화를 통하여 작업장치의 경량화를 도모하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 중장비용 고강도 열연강재로 재발중인 ATOS70강재의 기본 용접성 및 GMAW 용접부 특성을 검토하였다. 사용한 시험재는 현장시험재인 14~16mmt두께의 ATOS70강재를 사용하였고, 용접경화성 및 저온균열감수성을 평가하였다. 또한 GMAW 용접을 실시하여 용접부의 이음부 특성을 검토하였다. 14mmt 두께의 ATOS70강재의 탄소당량은 약 0.44수준이고, 모재 인장강도는 약 760MPa급 수준을 보였다. 한편 최고경도시험에 의한 용접부 최도경도는 약 300Hv 수준을 보였으며, 경사 y-groove구속시험에 의한 14mmt두께의 한계예열온도는 상온이었다. 한편 GMAW 용접부 인장시험결과 740MPa급 이상의 인장강도를 확보하였고, $-5^{\circ}C$ 용접부 Charpy 충격시험결과 48J 이상의 충격인성을 나타내었다.

  • In constructing all kinds of equipment and steel structures, discontinuous areas such as weld defects formed in a welded structure tend to generate cracks that will result in damage. In this study, ATOS high-strength steel welding becomes important in butt welding where the tensile strength of the steel is over 80kg/$mm^2$. Structural discontinuities such as joints are more susceptible cracks in part due to their repeated loading and fatigue crack growth. The quality of parts produced depend or the shielded amounts of steel and on the skill of the welders in making strong welds. It is true that there are many factors that can be used to generate a lot of research in this area. However geometry and load conditions due to the combined effects with many issues could be solved through this study. Butt welding material at a plate thickness of 12t in ATOS 80 high-strength steel with a 4 pass, 20l/min, 24V/200A welder is good at making specimens with the quality shown in radiographic testing.

ATOS 55강의 열처리 온도와 두께 변화에 따른 피로균열성장거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fatigue Crack Propagation Behavior by the Variation of Heat Treatment Temperature and Thickness in ATOS 55 Steel)

  • This study is to investigate the behavior of fatigue crack growth with ATOS 55 steel which can be applied to the commercial car Dump Frame. It is to obtain the material coefficients after tensile and fatigue crack growth test with the variation of thickness or heat treatment. Also, that is proved the Pari's law by experiment. The summarized results are as follows ; 1) Increasing thickness, tensile and yield strength measured highly regardless to heat treatment and measured lowly as variation of heat treatment temperature. 2) Specimen of thickness 8.0㎜ measured the faster of crack growth rate than another thickness according to the results of experiment. It was the different of stress conditions in crack tip. 3) It was found that the experimental constant m was range of 2∼5 to the relationship between fatigue crack growth rate and stress intensity factor range. Also, it was to prove the Paris's law by the experiment.

Strengthening Partnerships in Fair Trade Alternative Distribution Channels: A Case Study of Beautiful Coffee

  • Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to discuss success factors behind ATO distribution channels by examining successful partnerships between producers and alternative trading organizations (ATOs). Research design, data, and methodology - This is a case study, an analytical approach, which illustrates how the partnership between producers and ATOs has strengthened the fair trade and the performance of participants in the trade based on the example of the trading relationship between Beautiful Coffee, an alternative trading organization dealing coffee related products, and the coffee cooperative union (CCU), a coffee producing cooperative in Gulmi, Nepal. Results - Beautiful Coffee in the partnership with HELVETAS empowered small coffee farmers by a successful institutionalization of CCU that consolidated the distribution channel to be more efficient. Also, Beautiful Coffee and its partnership with KOICA have tried to increase productivity and quality of coffee beans. Conclusions - The case of Beautiful Coffee demonstrates that the partnership between producers and alternative trading organizations (ATOs) has benefited the fair trade partners. In other words, Beautiful Coffee's partnerships with a NGO working in the local producing area, HELVETAS, and a government aid agency, KOICA could strengthen the relationship between the producers and the ATO, and thus contributes to the whole distribution channel.

ATOS 80 고장력강의 용접 패스에 따른 용접부 방사선검사에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Radiograph Inspection of Specimen in Welding Pass Using ATOS 80 High-strength Steel)

  • In constructing all kinds of equipment and steel structure, parts with discontinuities such as weld defects formed in the welded structure can generate fatigue cracks that results in damage or accidents. In this study, weld zones are investigated with X-rays and the latent images are put on film. Weld zone defects can be verified by developing the film. As weld defects are investigated by radiographic testing and correlated with the welding condition, more appropriate welding conditions can be found. According to the result of X-ray radiographic inspection of butt welding ATOS 80 high-strength steel with a thickness of 12mm, the best conditions for welding without creating weld defects are 4 weld-passes, a protective gas of 20% $CO_2$ and 80% Ar, a protective gas flow of 20L/min, a welding current of 200A, an arc voltage of 24V, a welding speed of 14.4cm/min, a welding rod angle of $50^{\circ}$, a welding gap of 5 mm with a ceramic base, and sand pre-heating to $160^{\circ}$ Celsius prior to welding.

고장력강 용접부에 대한 내구수명 예측 방법 연구 (Study on Fatigue Characteristics of High-Strength Steel Welds)

  • 차량 경량화가 진행되고 있는 요즈음 상용차의 프레임이나 데크를 일반강에서 고장력강으로 대체하고 있는 상황이다. 일반강의 용접부 내구 특성에 대한 연구는 지금까지 많이 이루어졌으나 고장력강 용접부에 대한 연구는 거의 진행되지 않았다. 본 연구에선 첫째, 상용차량에 적합한 용접부 내구를 예측 기법을 찾기 위해 다수의 접근법을 검토해 보았으며 노치계수 접근법인 Radaj 방법을 선택하였다. 둘째, 오버랩 조인트와 T 조인트 용접시편을 이용한 내구시험을 통해서 F-N 선도를 얻었으며, 이 값을 활용하여 HARDOX, ATOS60 재질에 대한 S-N 선도를 추출할 수 있었다. 셋째, 노치계수 접근법을 사용하여 시편 시험으로 얻어진 F-N 선도를 활용하여 고장력강 용접부의 일반적인 S-N 선도를 구할 수 있었다. 넷째, 연구를 통해 얻어진 고장력강 용접부의 내구특성을 상용내구해석 프로그램에 적용하였다. 마지막으로 해석사례를 통해 시험과 해석결과를 비교하였으며, 신뢰할만한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • The checklist currently used for Aviation safety inspection performed by ASIs consists of inspection groups and multiple items, it does not have structured hierarchy system which required to efficiently process aviation safety analysis. On this study, through mapping taxonomy of HFACS onto current checklist to secure structured hierarchy system and present a specification on systematic frequency and severity to perform safety risk assessment of detected hazard.
