  • Password-based mechanism is widely used methods for user authentication. Password-based mechanisms are using memorable passwords(weak ferrets), therefore Password-based mechanism are vulnerable to the password guessing attack. To overcome this problem, man password-based authenticated key exchange protocols have been proposed to resist password guessing attacks. Recently, Seo-Sweeny proposed password-based Simple Authenticated Key Agreement(SAKA) protocol. In this paper, first, we will examine the SAKA and authenticated key agreement protocols, and then we will show that the proposed simple authenticated key agreement protocols are still insecure against Advanced Modification Attack. And we propose a password-based Simple Authenticated Key Agreement Protocol secure against Advanced Modification Attack.

  • Modern version of advanced supersonic fighter have ATCS (Automatic Thrust Control System) to maximum flight safety, fuel efficiency and mission capability the integrated advanced autopilot system such as TFS (Terrain Following System), GCAS (Ground Collision Avoidance System) and AARS (Automatic Attitude Recovery System) and etc. This paper addresses the design and verification of ATCS based on advanced supersonic trainer in HILS (Hardware In the Loop Simulator) with minimum hardware modification to reduce of development cost and maintain of system reliability. The function of ATCS is consisted of target speed hold mode in UA (Up and Away) and angle of attack hold mode in PA (Power Approach). The real-time pilot evaluation reveals that pilot workload is minimized in cruise and approach flight stage by ATCS.

  • This paper presents a new secure scan design technique to protect secret key from scan-based side channel attack for an Advanced Encryption Standard(AES) core embedded on an System-on-a-Chip(SoC). Our proposed secure scan design technique can be applied to crypto IF core which is optimized for applications without the IP core modification. The IEEE1149.1 standard is kept, and low area and power consumption overheads and high fault coverage can be achieved compared to the existing methods.

  • An authentication procedure on wired and wireless network will be done based on the registration and management process storing both the user's IP address and client device's MAC address information. However, existent MAC address registration/administration mechanisms were weak in MAC Spoofing attack as the attacker can change his/her own MAC address to client's MAC address. Therefore, an advanced mechanism should be proposed to protect the MAC address spoofing attack. But, existing techniques sequentially compare a sequence number on packet with previous one to distinguish the alteration and modification of MAC address. However, they are not sufficient to actively detect and protect the wireless MAC spoofing attack. In this paper, both AirSensor and AP are used in wireless network for collecting the MAC address on wireless packets. And then proposed module is used for detecting and protecting MAC spoofing attack in real time based on MAC Address Lookup table. The proposed mechanism provides enhanced detection/protection performance and it also provides a real time correspondence mechanism on wireless MAC spoofing attack with minimum delay.

  • This paper presents an efficient secure scan design technique which is based on a fake key and IEEE 1149.1 instruction to protect secret key from scan-based side channel attack for an Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) core embedded on an System-on-a-Chip (SoC). Our proposed secure scan design technique can be applied to crypto IP core which is optimized for applications without the IP core modification. The IEEE 1149.1 standard is kept, and low area, low power consumption, very robust secret-key protection and high fault coverage can be achieved compared to the existing methods.

  • Digital watermarking is a technique to insert a visually imperceptible information into an image so that the information can be extracted for the purposes of ownership verification or authentication. And watermarking techniques can be classified as either fragile or robust. Robust watermarks are useful for copyright and ownership assertion purposes. They cannot be easily removed and should resist common image manipulation procedures such as rotation, scaling, cropping, etc. On the other hand, fragile watermarks are easily corrupted by any image processing procedure, it can detect any change to an image as well as localizing the areas that have been changed. In this paper, we propose a fragile watermarking algorithm using a special hierarchical structure for integrity verification of image and detection of manipulated location. In the proposed method, the image to be watermarked is divided into blocks in a multi-level hierarchy and calculating block digital signatures in this hierarchy. The proposed method thwarts the cut-and-paste attack and the experimental results to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • Android Application Package (APK) is vulnerable to repackaging attacks. Therefore, obfuscation technology was applied inside the Android APK file to cope with repackaging attack. However, as more advanced reverse engineering techniques continue to be developed, fake Android APK files to be released. A new approach is needed to solve this problem. A blockchain is a continuously growing list of records, called blocks, which are linked and secured using cryptography. Each block typically contains a cryptographic hash of theprevious block, a timestamp and transaction data. Once recorded, the data inany given block cannot be altered retroactively without the alteration of all subsequent blocks. Therefore, it is possible to check whether or not theAndroid Mobile APK is forged by applying the blockchain technology. In this paper, we construct a discrimination DApp (Decentralized Application) against forgery Android Mobile APK by recording and maintaining the legitimate APK in the consortium blockchain framework like Hyperledger Fabric by Composer. With proposed DApp, we can prevent the forgery and modification of the appfrom being installed on the user's Smartphone, and normal and legitimate apps will be widely used.
