  • Nowaday, there have a lot of changes in the demands of the aged persons. Their problems also came to the fore with diverse forms under the influences of industrialization, urbanization and nuclear family. To make the matter worse, the aged population is mounting rapidly. Also, such structure as nuclear family is widely disseminating uncomfortable to the aged. People is mainly being guided by self interest above everything else. Indeed, they had, all together, bad effects on our traditional value system regarding 'respect for the aged and devotion to patients'. It seems unfortunately obvious that the family responsibility is gradually weakening to support the old who is a dependent family. The result is that the aged must have suffered all sorts of hardships in lightenning psychological, physical and economical difficulties. First, to grasp the situations and conditions supporting for single aged persons from each view of psychological, emotional, family-relational, healthy, social and economical standpoints, and second, to analyze their own recognition levels thinking of their health conditions and the relationships between the supporting environments of old family dependants and their psychological healths and then finally, to propose suggestions being able to be helpful for living comfortably in an old age and thereby, building up good family relation. The statistical techniques used to analyze 115 respondents living in Puchun city are frequency, $x^2$ test, t-Jest, ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Coefficiency and Regression analysis (SPSS package), pertnent to prove the hypothesis suggested in this paper. Of course, it is needless to say that more data are needed on this point. However, several main research findings can be summarized as follows: First, the better single aged persons may be in the habit of eating a meal and the higher they may think of their physical health conditions and movement, the more they want to participate in economic activities to be free from economical dependence upon their children and to overcome lonliness. Second, single aged women appear to have had higher ability to take care their health for themself than single aged men do. It is why signle aged women do not, in general, have big problems to manage their health. But, as shown in this paper, single aged person"s were more liable to the diseases of the aged and, thereby, requiring special medical treatment badly to be healthy. Third. single aged persons revealed potential desires to free themself from socio economic dependence upon their children even in simple labor Job which can draw a monthly salary of about W200, 000. Fourth, they are generally satisfied with their children's filial piety toward them. Nonethless, most of them appear to be reluctantly dependent upon their children and live lonly lives very much. Fifth, they seem to have some hesitation in expressing their candid opinions as that then are some others along with family environmental factors for psychological and emotiona stability. Accordingly, it is safe to conclude by saying that much attention should' be paid no only to socio-economic supports and better medical services for the aged but also to political supports of the society and towards their children for the aged's emotiona support, for improving the quality of their lives in old age and promoting efficiency in suporting for old family dependants.

  • Fresh ginseng roots were aged in an oven at $80^{\circ}C$ for 14 d. The in vitro and in vivo antioxidant activities of this aged ginseng, in comparison with those of the white and red ginsengs, were evaluated. In in vitro antioxidant assays, the ethanolic extracts from aged ginseng showed significantly higher free radical scavenging activity and reducing power than those of the white and red ginsengs. In in vivo antioxidant assays, mice were fed a high fat diet supplemented with white, red, or aged ginseng powders. High fat feeding resulted in a significant increase in lipid peroxidation and a substantial decrease in antioxidant enzymes activities in the animals. However, diet supplementation of ginseng powders, particularly aged ginseng, markedly reduced lipid peroxidation and enhanced the antioxidant enzymes activities. The results illustrate that the aged ginseng has greater in vitro and in vivo antioxidant capacity than the white and red ginsengs. The aged ginseng also showed considerably higher total saponin, phenolic, and flavonoid contents, indicating that its antioxidant capacity may have been partly due to its high levels of antioxidant compounds. This new ginseng product may be useful as a functional food with strong antioxidant potential.

  • The aim of the research was to sturdy the clothing of middle aged women in order to suggest a way of improvement. At the beginning, to find out what is the most inconvenient in middle aged women's clothing, a questionnaire survey was carried out. Next stage was to interview the companies which produce the clothing mainly for middle aged women. The interview was designed to gather the sizing data for the age group and compare the garment sizes between the companies. The styles of the trial garments were semitight by referring the preferred clothing style for middle aged woman in the questionnaire survey. They were semitight jacket, box style jacket, semitight skirt and pleats skirt. The trial garments were made of middle thick cotton with lining all over the jacket and shoulder pad of 15mm thickness. The testing subject were 20 middle aged women and 5 women belong to each size. Each subject's body measurements were taken so that the most appropriate size and Drop can be found. But each subject tried all three different Drops' garment to compare the fitness, so one subject tried 12 garments. The fitness and satisfaction were judged by two ways. One was wearer's self subjective judge, and the other was observer's objective Judge. The result showed clearly that for middle aged women, more diverse sizing system is required because their figure type is much more diverse than other aged group. So more diverse sizing system which includes the concept of Drop is suggested for better fitness of middle aged women's clothing.

  • The objective of this study was to compare effects of two different aging methods on physical, chemical, and microbial traits of pork loin: Dry and wet-aged meat was hung in the cooler at 8±1℃ and 85±2.1% humidity for 14 days, while wet-aged meat was immersed in a 3.5% salt solution of brine in vacuum pouches. On day 7, pH and moisture content were higher in dry-aged loins than in wet-aged, while drip loss and total plate counts (p<0.05) were lower on day 14. As aging continued, the pH and drip loss of dry-aged loins decreased, while their total plate counts and water holding capacity (WHC) increased (p<0.05). After 7 and 14 days of aging, redness in dry-aged loins was higher than that in wet -aged muscles (p<0.05). On day 14 of aging, hardness, chewiness, and adhesiveness were lower in dry-aged pork loin as compared to those in wet-aged samples (p<0.05). Consequently, the results suggested that dry and wet aging methods differently affects meat quality traits of pork loin.

Due to that need, this thesis is wrote out. The aim of this thesis is to detect the emotion of aged people and establish a certain algorithm for detecting it. In the whole process of experiment and analysis, I used HRV(Heart Rate Variability) data since the heart is a representative which is controlled by the ANS(autonomic nervous system), and the ANS reflects the changes in emotion. After stimulating the aged people with the authorized pictures which induce different emotions each. 1 measured HRV of those aged. The HRV data is then analyzed in the two domain area, time and frequency. 1 guessed that the result would show some certain differences according to the pictures and it was shown from the experiment. Seeing the result, HRV was changed by what the aged felt looking at the pictures. Then it also means that visual stimulation influence on the has of the aged people.

Also, ADL was positively related to IADL in aged woman with dementia and caregivers. ADL and IADL were negatively related to quality of life in aged woman with dementia and caregivers. In daily activity and life quality, there is no difference recognized by aged woman with dementia and caregivers. So it's not matter for the nursery to recognize the demand of the aged woman with dementia and to care them. It is necessary to study the elderly with dementia at home, and to compare the patients in accordance with severity.
