An analysis of the effectiveness for an anti-ARM technique using decoy antennas (디코이 안테나를 이용한 ARM 방어 기술의 효과도 분석)

  • This paper describes an analysis of the effectiveness for an anti-ARM technique to protect a radar system. We investigate the optimum deployment of decoy antennas which are widely using for anti-ARM and the electromagnetic field at the ARM receiver. To verify the effect of decoy antennas, we analyze the field intensity and phase at the receiver and develop a numerical simulation program using Matlab. We conduct an analysis of ARM attack in case of using multiple decoy antennas and these results can be used to decide the optimum positions of the decoys for anti-ARM.

  • This paper describes on a software simulator that can be used for an anti-ARM system. The proposed simulator is a valuable tool for investigating the optimum deployment of decoy antennas which are widely using for anti-ARM and calculating the electromagnetic field at the ARM receiver. To verify the effect of decoy antennas, we analyze the field intensity and phase at the receiver. We conduct an analysis of ARM attack in case of using multiple decoy antennas and the proposed simulator can be used to decide the optimum positions of the decoys.

  • This paper describes an anti-ARM technique using multiple decoy antennas. We investigate the radar and decoy antenna signal received at the ARM receiver to verify the effect of decoy antennas. And we develop a simulation program using Matlab for optimum positions of the decoys and the effect of ARM by distance between decoys. We suggest optimum positions and distance between decoys based on our simulation results.

Meta-analysis of Six Randomized Control Trials of Chemotherapy Plus Anti-HER Monoclonal Antibody for Advanced Gastric and Gastroesophageal Cancer

  • Background: A meta-analysis was performed to examine the benefit/risk ratio for the addition of anti- HER MoAbs to chemotherapy in patients with advanced gastric and gastroesophageal cancer from six randomized phase II/III trials. Materials and Methods: We searched relative trials from Pubmed, EMBASE, Cochrane library databases, China National Knowledge Infrastructure databases, Google Scholar and the NIH ClinicalTrials. Primary outcomes were overall response rate (ORR), progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS). Secondary outcomes were toxicities. All analyses were performed using STATA 12.0. Results: This meta-analysis included six randomized controlled trials (RCTs) with 2, 297 patients and we demonstrated that the anti-HER MoAbs arm did have a positive effect on ORR in the anti-HER MoAbs arm (OR 1.28, 95% CI 1.00-1.64, p=0.01). There was an increasing benefit regarding OS (HR 0.74, 95% CI 0.60-0.88, p<0.05) and PFS (HR 0.72, 95% CI 0.60-0.84, p<0.05) in the anti-HER2 subgroup, but a reduction of OS (HR 1.11, 95% CI 0.87-1.36, p<0.05) and PFS (HR 1.13, 95% CI 0.98 -1.28, P<0.05) in anti-EGFR subgroup. Some grade 3-4 toxicity had a significantly higher incidence in the anti-HER MoAbs arm. There was no significant publication bias for all endpoints. Conclusions: The addition of trstuzumab MoAb to chemotherapy for gastric and gastroesophageal cancer significantly improved outcome of OS and PFS endpoints, while other MoAbs led to no improvement in results. Some adverse events were increased in anti-HER MoAbs arm compared with the control.

  • The aim of this paper is to evaluate the compatibility of anti-vibration gloves, to predict the attenuation of vibration with different types of anti-vibration gloves, to estimate the spectra of the ISO 10819 standard, and to present an oscillating spectrum adequate for vibrating tools. This paper use two ISO standards for the measurement and evaluation of hand-arm vibration. Some anti-vibration gloves can attenuate vibration, but all the anti-vibration gloves in this study do not satisfy the ISO 10819 requirements. In case of equal vibration types, the outside materials are effective in order of leather, fabrics and rubber-coating. Anti-vibration gloves manufactured in the United State satisfy ISO 10819 criteria using United State subjects, but do not satisfy ISO 10819 using Japanese subjects. M-spectrum acceleration exists below 10Hz and H-spectrum exists above 500Hz. Generally vibrating tools have the peak of Z-axis, but generation of vibration differ from each vibrating tools.

  • In practical fields, the sway of crane systems leads to extra stress to the crane structure during the transporting operation and it is in close connection with its life. Usually, when we operate the cranes with high speed and manual control, the sway motion is irreducible. In this paper, a new type of crane system is proposed to avoid the irreducible sway of the crane systems. The proposed system is composed of mechanical arm with function of anti-sway based on conventional line system. By the anti-sway arm, we can realize to prevent the sway of the container box but cannot avoid the oscillation for the overall body of the crane. So, a controller design method to solve the above stated problem must be considered. The problem is solved by adopting the velocity pattern control methods of trapezoidal and curve types and its effectiveness is proved through experimental results.

  • 본 논문은 디코이(Decoy) 안테나를 사용하여 레이다를 보호하기 위한 레이다 전파회피 기술에 대한 것이다. 2개 이상의 디코이를 사용하여 ARM을 방어하는 기술을 디코이의 배치 방법과 배치 거리에 따른 ARM의 요격효과를 시뮬레이션 하고, ARM 방어를 위한 효과적인 디코이 배치 방법 및 배치거리를 제안한다. 또한 실제 DTM(Digital Terrain Map)의 고도 좌표를 적용한 경우 ARM의 타격 오차 등을 시뮬레이션하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 대방미사일(ARM: Anti Radiation Missile)로부터 레이다를 보호하기 위하여 디코이 안테나를 이용한 전파회피기술을 효과적으로 모의하기위한 시뮬레이터를 제안하자 한다. 제안된 시뮬레이터는 디코이(Decoy) 안테나의 효과적인 배치와 ARM 수신기에 수신되는 전파의 특성 분석이 가능하도록 설계되었다. 디코이 안테나의 배치 효과를 검증하기위해서 ARM 수신기에 도달하는 디코이 안테나 신호의 위상과 진폭을 분석 결과를 제시하였다. 또한 다수 디코이 안테나를 사용하는 경우 ARM의 공격효과를 다양하게 분석하였으며 ARM 방어를 위한 효과적인 디코이 배치에 유용하게 활용 될 것이다.

A Comparative Study of Two Diagnostic Methods Based on the Switching Voltage Pattern for IGBT Open-Circuit Faults in Voltage-Source Inverters

  • This paper reports an investigation conducted on two diagnostic methods based on the switching voltage pattern of IGBT open-circuit faults in voltage-source inverters (VSIs). One method was based on the bridge arm pole voltage, and the other was based on bridge arm line voltage. With an additional simple circuit, these two diagnostic methods detected and effectively identified single and multiple open-circuit faults of inverter IGBTs. A comparison of the times for the diagnosis and anti-interference features between these two methods is presented. The diagnostic time of both methods was less than 280ns in the best case. The diagnostic time for the method based on the bridge arm pole voltage was less than that of the method based on the bridge arm line voltage and was 1/2 of the fundamental period in the worst case. An experimental study was carried out to show the effectiveness of and the differences between these two methods.

  • This work presents a design and control method for a flexible robot arm operated by a wire drive that follows human gestures. When moving the robot arm to a desired position, the necessary wire moving length is calculated and the motors are rotated accordingly to the length. A robotic arm is composed of a total of two module-formed mechanism similar to real human motion. Two wires are used as a closed loop in one module, and universal joints are attached to each disk to create up, down, left, and right movements. In order to control the motor, the anti-windup PID was applied to limit the sudden change usually caused by accumulated error in the integral control term. In addition, master/slave communication protocol and operation program for linking 6 motors to MYO sensor and IMU sensor output were developed at the same time. This makes it possible to receive the image information of the camera attached to the robot arm and simultaneously send the control command to the robot at high speed.
