The Study on the Meaning Change of 'Startup' and 'Entrepreneurship' using the Bigdata-based Corpus Network Analysis (빅데이터 기반 어휘연결망분석을 활용한 '창업'과 '기업가정신'의 의미변화연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to extract keywords for 'startup' and 'entrepreneurship' from Naver news articles in Korea since 1990 and Google news articles in foreign countries, and to understand the changes in the meaning of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship in each era It is aimed at doing. In summary, first, in terms of the frequency of keywords, venture sprouting is a sample of the entrepreneurial spirit of the government-led and entrepreneurs' chairman, and various technology investments and investments in corporate establishment have been made. It can be seen that training for the development of items and items was carried out, and in the case of the venture re-emergence period, it can be seen that the youth-oriented entrepreneurship and innovation through the development of various educational programs were emphasized. Second, in the result of vocabulary network analysis, the network connection and centrality of keywords in the leap period tended to be stronger than in the germination period, but the re-leap period tended to return to the level of germination. Third, in topic analysis, it can be seen that Naver keyword topics are mostly business-related content related to support, policy, and education, whereas topics through Google News consist of major keywords that are more specifically applicable to practical work.

Multi-Dimensional Analysis on Entrepreneurship Studies in the 'Asia Pacific Journal of Small Business (APJSB)' ('중소기업연구' 학술지 기업가정신 연구 동향에 관한 다차원 분석)

  • This study aims to diagnose research trends and to deduct implications from meta analysis of entrepreneurship studies in the Asia Pacific Journal of Small Business (APJSB), one of the most well-known academic journals in management and entrepreneurship field in Korea. Frequency and crossover analysis are executed in multi-dimensions by time period, topic, author, research level, data, and methodology by complete enumeration of every published paper for 40 years in APJSB which included core terms of entrepreneurship in its title, abstract, or keywords. From objective and quantitative schematization of research trends and characteristics of entrepreneurship studies, novel improvement plans which are highly applicable in research fields are suggested such as diversification of studies from ecosystem perspective, identification of authors, and standardized system of extended abstract of research papers. Implications and suggestions derived from the results propose future research directions and tasks when entrepreneurship studies have been rapidly increased. Furthermore, the innovation plans of management system of journals and papers are expected to contribute promotion of entire studies by significantly reducing trial and error, and inefficiency in research process.

A Study on Applicable Level of Entrepreneurship: Focus on Entrepreneurial Orientation (기업가정신의 적용수준과 기업성과에 관한 연구 -기업가지향성을 중심으로-)

  • This study was carried out with the attention that the concept of entrepreneurial orientation has been applied at various levels of CEO, employee, management, and organization as a whole. The differences between these concepts were examined by discriminant validity and convergence validity, and the causal relationship between these concepts and performance was analyzed. A total of 96 questionnaires were collected and analyzed. The results show that CEO's entrepreneurial orientation, employee's entrepreneurial orientation, manager's entrepreneurial orientation and organizational entrepreneurial orientation have convergent validity and discriminant validity, and that these variables have different effects on the firm 's innovation performance and financial performance. In the analysis of the mediating effect, when the variables of all levels were put into a single variable, the innovation performance mediates between the entrepreneurial orientation and the financial performance in all variables. However, when all variables are applied simultaneously, innovation performance has mediating effect only on the relationship between organizational entrepreneurship orientation and financial performance. This shows that there is a conceptual difference according to applied level. As a result of the analysis of the causal relationship by the application level of entrepreneurial orientation, it is found that causality is formed among the entrepreneurial orientation variables. In particular, CEO's entrepreneurial orientation influences employee's entrepreneurial orientation, manager's entrepreneurial orientation, and organization's entrepreneurial orientation, and again, employee's entrepreneurial orientation and managerial entrepreneurial orientation form a causal relationship that influences organization's entrepreneurial orientation. In the relationship between innovation performance and financial performance, CEO's entrepreneurial orientation, organization's entrepreneurial orientation, and manager's entrepreneurial orientation are influencing innovation performance, and the only variables influencing financial performance are organization's entrepreneurial orientation. In conclusion, the limitations of the study and its future direction are presented.
