  • For general geometry of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), volumetric error equation including 21 systematic error components was showed using vector expression. Different types of CMM listed on an international standard (BS 6808) were classified according to their geometry, and the general volumetric error equation was used for the CMMs. Application of volumetric error equation was also introduced, such as position error compensation, error equation of CNC-machine and parametric error analysis, etc.

  • Emerging service classes need an error model which efficiently satisfies the requirements for each media and application. However limited flexibility in the error control has been provided. Therefore we propose a new error control model which applies error control scheme per media flexibly with respect to ETL(Error Tolerance Leverl) and delay. In order to select the error control scheme in this model, the attributes of media(i.e., ETL, isochronism), the attributes of application(i.e., delay) and environment parameters(i.e., packet loss ration, network types, connection modes of the application) are considered as effect factors.

  • A commercially available Doppler radar was modified and evaluated for on-board monitoring of ground speed. The radar output was corrected for pitch angle of aircraft based on the output of an electrolytic tilt sensor. The effects of aircraft speed, height and mounting angle on error in the ground speed were evaluated. The speed error decreased with an increase of the mounting angle since the radar contact angle with respect to the ground approached to the mounting angle. The error increased with an increase of the nominal aircraft speed. The altitude insignificantly affected the speed error. The Doppler radar provided acceptable percent errors within 5% in most measurements. The error can be reduced within ${\pm}$1.5% by increasing the mounting angle ($43^{\circ}$). The error of -3.8% at the mounting angle of $29^{\circ}$could be reduced by adjusting the mounting angle with respect to the radar contact angle.

  • Computer software users develop and utilize their application software by themselves since Processing methods are different by quantity and qualify of the information The developed model needs input data and error numbers generated during the testing phases. However. total error numbers of the existing model and each error time was needed as data for developing the new model. But, maximum likelihood estimation must be used to exponential model of binomial-type and estimating of parameters by using the searched data. Parameter estimation can be done with trial and error or simulation.

  • We propose ESS_WMCE. This paper explains the design and implementation of the EDSS running on ESS_WMCE. EDSS is a synchronization error control system for web based multimedia collaboration environment. We have an error detection approach by using hooking method. The technique of an error transmission is a mended model of utilizing an application sharing system. DOORAE is a good framework model for supporting development on application for computer supported cooperated works. It has primitive service functions. Service functions are implemented with an object oriented concept. It is a system that is suitable for detecting and sharing a software error rapidly occurring on web based multimedia collaboration environment by using software techniques. It is able to share an error as well as providing URL synchronization to access shared objects. When an error occurs, this system detects an error by using hooking methods in MS-Windows API(Application Program Interface) function. If an error is found, it is able to provide an error sharing to access shared objects.

  • This paper explains the design and implementation of the ESA(Error Sharing Agent). ESA is a system that is suitable for detecting, sharing and recovering software error based on multimedia CSCW(Computer Supportes Cooperated Work). This system consists of an ED, ES, and ER. ED detects an error by hooking techniques. ES is an agent which is an error sharing system for distributed multimedia collaboration environment With error sharing system, a group cooperating users can share error applications. From the perspective of multimedia collaborative environment, an error application becomes another interactive presentation error is shared with participants engaged in a cooperative work. We propose how an error application can be treated as 'media' in a multimedia collaborative environment.

  • This paper presents a new dynamic human reliability analysis method and its application for quantifying the human error probabilities in implementing management action. For comparisons of current HRA methods with the new method, the characteristics of THERP, HCR, and SLIM-MAUD, which are most frequency used method in PSAs, are discussed. The action associated with implementation of the cavity flooding during a station blackout sequence is considered for its application. This method is based on the concepts of the quantified correlation between the performance requirement and performance achievement. The MAAP 3.0B code and Latin Hypercube sampling technique are used to determine the uncertainty of the performance achievement parameter. Meanwhile, the value of the performance requirement parameter is obtained from interviews. Based on these stochastic obtained, human error probabilities are calculated with respect to the various means and variances of the things. It is shown that this method is very flexible in that it can be applied to any kind of the operator actions, including the actions associated with the implementation of accident management strategies.

  • In this paper, studied error of various signal interpolation methods in vibration signal analysis with digital order tracking. Because, interpolation errors are related with sampling rate and amount of calculation. Appled Signal interpolation methods are Lagrange, Newton and Cubic-spline. This paper proposed more proper interpolation method. Also, we suggest guideline for adaptive application of signal interpolation methods with Calculated results.

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of causal links between various error causes in human error analysis. Background: As finding root causes of human error in safety-critical systems is often a cognitively demanding and time-consuming task, it is particularly necessary to develop a method for improving both the quality and efficiency of the task. Although a few methods such as CREAM have suggested causal linking between error causes as a means to enhance the quality and efficiency of human error analysis, no published research to date has evaluated the performance of the causal links. Method: The performance of the CREAM links between error causes were evaluated with 80 railway accident investigation reports from the UK. From each report, errorneous actions of operators were derived, and for each error, candidate causes were found by following the predefined links. Two measures, coverage and selectivity, were used to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the links, respectively. Results: On average, 96% of error causes actually included in the accident reports were found by following the causal links, and among the total of 121 possible error causes, the number of error causes to be examined further was reduced to one-tenth on average. As an additional result of this work, frequent error causes and frequently used links are provided. Conclusion: This result implies that the predefined causal links between error causes can significantly reduce the time and effort required to find the multiple levels of error causes and their causal relations without losing the quality of the results. Application: The CREAM links can be applied to human error analysis in any industry with minor modifications.

  • Recently, there have been advancements in radar related material technology, circuit design techniques and architecture design techniques. These have led to developments in radars' performance while decreasing the costs. Many studies have been carried out to apply radars to multipurpose application. In this study, a reconfigurable S-/X- band radar structure for multipurpose application is proposed and implemented. This radar measures a $51.2cm{\times}50.6cm$ target for 10 times from 2 m to 6 m range with 0.25 m distance step. The measured results show that this radar has 26.40 cm maximum range error, 5.63 cm average range error, and 0.24 cm range error variance at S-band while it has 8.53 cm maximum range error, 2.52 cm average range error, and 0.04 cm range error variance at X-band.
