  • Because output of multi-code CDMA system adapted high speed data transmission becoming multi-level system use linear amplifier in output stage and complex output signal. Therefore, Multi-Code CDMA system has shortcoming of high price, high complexity etc. Binary CDMA technology that allow fetters in existing CDMA technology to supplement this shortcoming proposed. In binary CDMA system When correlator process high speed data, bottle-neck phenomenon is happened on synchronization acquisition process, it is very important parameter. Because existent correlator must there be advantage that power consumption is small but flow addition of several stages to receive correlation's value, the processing speed has disadvantage because the operation amount is much. Therefore in this paper, proposed correlator has characteristic such as data is able to high speed processing, chip area is independent and power consumption is constant in structure in binary CDMA system.

  • The performance of conventional direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) systems is decreased under environments such as additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN), channel distortion and interference noise due to multiple access user. By means of this parameter, auto correlation value of pseudo noise spreading sequence is decreased at receiver. This techniques which are based on correlation of between signature waveform signal. In this paper, to improve correlation property, we proposed the binary chirp DS-CDMA techniques which combine the DS-CDMA and chirp modulation. The proposed system which is based on binary chirp symbol has a good correlation value. Thus, we called BC DS-CDMA. To evaluate the system's performance, we compare the performance of the proposed systems with DS-CDMA systems under AWGN channel and halogen noise which exists on the powerline. The simulation results show that the proposed method has better performance than conventional technique.

  • In this paper, the DS(direct sequence)-CDMA and MC(multi-carrier)-CDMA, which are being researched recently as a synchronous IMT-2000 scheme for next-generation mobile multimedia communications, are studied in terms of BER(bit error rate) performance. The BER performance of MC-CDMA with EGB, MRC, and improved MMSEC detection scheme are analyzed and compared to that of conventional DS-CDMA adopting RAKE receiver through the computer simulations under the environments of synchronous IMT-2000 transmission channel. Not only single user case but also multiuser case is considered in the given system. As a result, it is shown that MC-CDMA with MMSEC detection outperforms all other schemes improved the $E_b/N_o$ by about 5 [dB] and 6 [dB] when the BER is $2{\times}10^{-3}$, for the indoor/outdoor fading channel and synchronous IMT-2000 transmission channel, respectively. Also in the multiuser case, MC-CDMA with MMSEC detection scheme exhibits better performance than all the other schemes.

  • Recently, the demand of mobile communication is rapidly increasing. Also, not only the voice service but also the nonvoice services such as data, FAX, and image service are required. Therefore, in this paper, the voice/data intergraed service methods that will be utilized as a basic core technology of the PCS systems are proposed and their performances are analyzed and compared by computer simulation. According to the simulation results, it could be seen that the performance of voice/data integrated PR-CDMA method is better than that of voice/data integrated broadband CDMA method using a dedicated terminal or a voice/data integrated terminal. The reason is that the voice/data integrated PR-CDMA method can overcome the weak points of CDMA protocol, such as a limitation of the fixed CDMA logical channel number and a falling-off in channel utilization, by using PRMA protocol as a multiple access method that the terminals to which a CDMA logical channel is assigned compete.

  • Korea has made a plan to allocate CH 14~CH 51 (470 MHz~698 MHz) for DTV. This paper assumes that DTV operates on CH 51 (692 MHz~698 MHz) and CDMA system operates on CH 52 (698 MHz~704 MHz) in spare band. Minimum Coupling Loss (MCL) method to get protection distance and Spectrum Engineering Advanced Monte Carlo Analysis Tool (SEAMCAT) to get guard band through 5 % interference probability are used. The protection distance is required to be 665.67 km at close frequency offset of 698.625 MHz between DTV transmitter and CDMA Base Station (BS) receiver. The required guard band between DTV transmitter and CDMA Mobile Station (MS) receiver is 5 MHz for the worst case of rural environment. There is no serious impact between CDMA MS transmitter and DTV receiver. The required guard band between CDMA BS transmitter and DTV receiver is 6.25 MHz for the worst case of urban environment. The analysis results may offer a reference and be helpful for considering interference between DTV and other communication systems.

  • In a CDMA system, the rapacity is variable and mainly depends on multiple access interference. The multiple access interference has a deep relationship with transmitted or received power. The capacity of CDMA2000 1x system is considered to be limited by the forward link capacity. In this paper, we show that the transmitted power can represent the total cell load and we propose a load control scheme for CDMA2000 1x system. CDMA2000 1x system has fast power control scheme and we can measure forward link cell load by using total transmitted power. In the proposed algorithm, by monitoring the total transmit power, we can simply adjust data rate to channel conditions and efficiently use radio resources. The proposed algorithm is practical algorithm to implement in the power controlled CDMA systems and enhances the system throughput and quality of service(QoS)

  • CDMA is the way that more than one users can share the time and frequency at the same time and connect with multiple access in mobile communication. Multiple Access is indispensible for mobile communication because the limited frequency is able to be used by many users in mobile communication. CDMA is also applied to home network, military, business and medical sectors. This paper, presents a users should share limited frequency resource. CDMA module implemented with 8-layer PCB which consists of the Slice-board circuit, keeping Radio frequency characteristics and a slot type connector.

  • In this paper, Interference-Cancelled CDMA system using binary ZCD spreading codes is introduced. Proposed Interference-Cancelled CDMA system can be usefully used for the intra-cellular Interference-Cancelled wireless communication systems. Binary ZCD spreading code sets have various sequence period and family sizes and the ZCD properties of them are very effective for Interference-cancelled CDMA Systems. In this paper, we mathematically analyzed the system performance of our proposed Interference-Cancelled CDMA system in the AWGN channel and various interference environments such as MAI and MPI. Furthermore, using the BER performance simulation we certify the available interference cancellation properties of the proposed system.

  • In packet CDMA networks, it is important to design a MAC protocol that meets the QoS requirements , of the different traffic types and allocates the radio channels efficiently. In this paper, a RRS$^2$-CDMA MAC protocol is proposed for integrating voice and data services in the microcellular packet CDMA networks. In PRS$^2$-CDMA, a voice terminal can resolve a spreading code to transmit voice packets during a talkspurt while a data terminal has to contend for a code for each packet transmission. The numerical results show that the proposed protocol can improve the system capacity, while guaranteeing the QoS of voice and data services.

  • This paper compares and analyzes advantages and disadvantages of CDMA(code division multiple access) and OFDM(orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) transmission techniques for underwater acoustic channel environments. Computer simulations were carried out in various underwater acoustic channels with varying r.m.s.(root mean square) delay, doppler frequency and the number of multipaths. When r.m.s. delay and doppler frequency are within the tolerance of designed transmission schemes, the computer simulations show that CDMA has better BER performance than that of the OFDM. However, when the doppler frequency exceeds the tolerance, BER performance of the CDMA decreases.
