In this paper, a low-power CIC(U Integrator Comb) filter bank structure is proposed for wireless communication systems. Since conventional CIC filter can not meet the desired center frequencies in each channel of filter banks, we developed a Modified CIC Filter(MCF) for those purpose.

최근, VPN기술은 보안 통신을 위해 자주 사용되고 있다. 비록 IPsec이 표준화 되었지만 많은 Vender들의 구현은 아직까지 완전한 상호간의 호환성을 갖지는 못하고 있다. 본 논문은 IP-VPN에 있어 상호 호환성 문제를 연구했다. 연구결과, 서로 다른 IP-VPN 구현에 있어 상호 호환성을 지원할 수 있는 Common Interface Component(CIC)를 제안하게 되었다. CIC와 CIC-Manager는 다양한 IP-VPN 구현에 있어서 상호 호환성의 해결책물 제공한다. 또한 CIC를 이용하여 다양한 표준을 지원할 수 있다.

This paper proposes an efficient decimation filter structure in programmable down converter for software radio. The decimation filter consists of the cascaded integrator-comb(CIC) filter, a compensation filter for CIC, cascaded comb and modified halfband filters, and programmable FIR filter. Since the compensation filter is used in CIC, the passband drooping is compensated and stopband attenuation is improved. Therefor the more decimation can be implemented in CIC filter. The compensation filter in CIC reduced the computational complexity of other decimation filters and the coefficients of PFIR, thereby achieving a significant hardware reduction over existing approaches. We can reduce the multiply operator by 20% in hardware and operation by 50% as compared with PDC of Harris.

Today's firm runs on a customer-centric environment. Customers prefer to deal with companies that are accessible at anytime, from anywhere, in any form. Thix trend requires an ever-increasing number of channels to interact with the firm. And these channels ought to be integrated as well. To meet these challenges firms tend to rely on a customer interaction center (CIC) solution, enabling two-way interactions with customers through seamless contact channels. Though many firms these days tend to introduce the CIC into their organization, there is not much empirical research dealing with design elements that have to be fabricated in the CIC. This study is to investigate the relationship between CIC design elements and CIC effectiveness. To meet this objective we have contacted and surveyed a number of firms that are operating some form of CIC. We also describe a few success and failure cases in an effort to deliver issues or insights that should be considered in introducing CIC.

Owing to the advances in ADC and DSP technologies, signals in If band, which once had to be processed in analog technology, can new be digitally processed. This is referred to as "Digital IF" or "Digital Radio", which is a preliminary stage of SDR. Applying the digital radio technology to a multi-carrier receiver design, a processing gain is generated through an over-sampling of input data. In the digital receiver, decimation is performed for reducing the computational complexity CIC and half band filter is used together with the decimation as an anti-alising filter. The CIC filter, however, should introduce the roll-off phenomenon in the passband, which causes the receiving performance to be considerably degraded due to the distorted Passband flatness of receiving filter. In this paper, we designed a CIC roll-off compensation filter for W-CDMA digital receiver. The performance of the proposed compensation filter is confirmed through computer simulations in such a way that the BER is minimized by compensating the roll-off characteristics.off characteristics.

A correction index of catchability (CIC) was derived using a 6 year research data set to examine the seasonal variation in catchability for the night time prawn fishery in Albatross Bay. CIC reflects the composite effect of the monthly variation in size selectivity, emergence­burying behaviour and population density variation of prawn populations. The values of CIC for four dominant species, Metapenaeus endeavouri, M. ensis, Penaeus semisulcatus and P. esculentus, were examined. The value of CIC for M. endeavouri varied substantially and was the highest in August. The values of CIC for M. ensis were high during November to March and the seasonality was weaker than that for M. endeavouri. The monthly variation in CIC for P. semisulcatus reflected the seasonal variation in population density, being high during November to February. These results suggest that the catch ability of P. esculentus is steady throughout the year but it varies greatly on a seasonal basis for M. endeavouri.

본 논문은 무선 통신 시스템에 사용될 수 있는 저전력의 Cascaded Integrator-Comb(CIC) 필터 뱅크 구조를 제안한다. 필터 뱅크를 만들기 위해서 CIC 필터의 적분기 섹션을 변화시켜 구성하는 방법을 제안하였으며, 원하는 채널별 중심주파수를 정확히 맞추기 위하여 Modified CIC Filter(MCF)를 사용하는 방법을 제안하였다. 이 방법으로 채널별 중심주파수가 원하는 주파수에 위치하도록 필터 뱅크를 구현할 수 있음을 보였다. 또한 각 채널별 통과대역 주파수응답특성을 개선할 수 있는 새로운 Generalized Comb Filter(GCF)를 제안하였다. 한 개의 GCF와 두 개의 GCF를 각 채널에 적용하는 방법과 그때 통과대역의 주파수응답특성이 얼마나 향상되는지를 보였다. 또한 본 논문이 제안한 CIC 필터 뱅크와 일반 FIR 필터를 사용한 필터 뱅크의 구현 소자의 수를 비교하여 구조의 우수함을 입증하였다.

In this paper, a new CIC filter structure for reduction of passband droop in CIC decimation filter is proposed. For improvement of passband characteristics, the 1st order Generalized Comb Filter(UF) is proposed in addition to the conventional CIC decimation filter. By using this filter, it is shown that passband droop is remarkably reduced and aliasing attenuation is slightly increased. We also propose how to find the optimum filter coefficient Furthermora, it is shown that choices for GCF are possible in terms of the number of Half-Band filter. Passband droops and aliasing attenuations of the proposed structure are compared with those of the CIC structures using conventional sharpening techniques.

The definition of Crime Indictable Upon Complaint (CIC) is crimes which can be prosecuted only with complaints from the victim or his/her direct parents. Sex crimes are the representative examples, rapes and indecent assaults. According to the research referenced in this paper, 74% of sex crimes which had been penalized based on Republic of Korea (ROK) Criminal Code amounts rape and indecent assault are CIC. However, only 20% of perpetrators were confined, and the rest received non-confinement or non-prosecution determination. The review of criminal history checks reveals that 67% of the perpetrators had criminal histories and 39% of them had more than three documented offenses. The CIC was established in order to protect the victim's rights and dignity, respecting the victim's opinion regarding the incident. All kinds of sex crimes then should have been the CIC, but those crimes such as Injury Resulting from Rape, Special Rape, Rape by Special Modus Operandi, Sexual Assault among Relatives and Domestic Violence which have to guarantee the opinion of the victims are prescribed as non-CIC. We therefore conclude that the CIC should be abolished. The abolition of CIC will play an important role in crime prevention because severe penalties for sex crimes will be imposed on the perpetrators. In addition, it will help the sex crime victims retrieve their dignity by spreading recognition widely through the community that sexual assault is not only a social assault but an infringement against human rights.
