  • This paper is to contribute for management and restoration as a basic study of vegetation structure in Aemirang Hill, Nakdongjeongmaek. To verify the characteristics of vegetation structure, we set up 25 plots($100m^2$). The result of community analysis was used by TWINSPAN classification. The communities were classified 7 types i.e. Quercus variabilis community, Quercus mongolica community, Pinus densiflora community, Pinus densiflora-Quercus mongolica community, Q. mongolica-Quercus variabilis community, Quercus mongolica-Betula davurica community, Larix leptolepis community. Pinus densiflora community and Pinus densiflora-Quercus mongolica community are progressively transforming a Quercus mongolica community that is called Pinus densiflora next succession stage. Whereas the communities that has dominant Quercus variabilis and Quercus mongolica did not appear a next generation succession tree such as Carpinus laxiflora, Carpinus cordata in the under story and shrub layer. Therefore, Aemirang Hill's ecological succession was to maintain the status condition. Aemirang Hill's diversity index is 0.5738 to 0.8906. It were analyzed that diversity index was lower than other places.

  • This study inquired the features of restructuring of shipbuilding industry and structure of community cooperation. The Sinhyeon-eup region has experienced rapid changes as a large shipyard location. Prior to Korea, Japan has developed the cooperation of company-community-residents relationships and the reorganization of location systems through division and accumulation system. The restructuring of shipbuilding industry in Korea have focused on the improvement of business environment. So they have not been efficiently settled in the accumulation and the cooperation structure between company and region. Japan established the organic cooperation structure of company and community before the large restructuring, while the shipbuilding industry city of our country commenced it with the crisis of community by the restructuring. In the Sinhyeon-eup region, The connecting ring among the production sections of a core company in center is established. However the structure of community cooperation is weak. The structure of community cooperation as local governance consist of company, pubic institution, local residents, and regional expert. This structure can be a rational channel in which it can not only strengthen the cohesion of the community, but also solve the present questions of the industrial city.

  • Many real networks exhibit overlapping community structures. Recent studies have been performed that analyze the impact of overlapping community structure on information propagation, but few of them concerned with individual behaviors. From this point of view, we propose a Markov process model to evaluate the performance of information propagation in social networks with overlapping community structures. In addition, many individual social behaviors are combined in the model. For example, individuals may exhibit selfish behaviors, such as individual and social selfishness, and people may discard the information after they have used it. The accuracy of the model is verified by simulation. Furthermore, the numerical results show that both overlapping community structure of the network and individual behaviors have a significant impact on the outbreak size and propagation speed of the information. Additionally, the overlapping community structure of the social network can reduce the impact of selfishness on information propagation.

  • Species composition, community structure and biodiversity of marine benthic community were studied in the rocky shore of Dongbaekseom, Busan. A total of 82 species of marine algae including 4 Cyanophyta, 11 Chlorophyta, 20 Phaeophyta and 47 Rhodophyta are listed. The dominant algal species were Ulva pertusa, Chondria crassicaulis, Corallina spp. and Melobesioidean algae. Sargassum thunbergii, Chondracanthus intermedia, Gelidium divaricatum and Ralfsia verrucosa were subdominant in cases of different seasons and vertical layers. Chthamalus challengeri, Littorina brevicula and Mytilus edulis were dominant zoobenthic species upper-middle layer of the intertidal zone. The community structure of this area seemed to be controlled by spatial competition with benthic marine algae. The species diversity indices estimated from different sources were quite different. Indices from coverage were 1.87, 3.98 from frequency, 2.26 from the average of total frequency and coverage and 2.15 from importance value. The similarity indices on the present study showed decreasing trends comparing to the previous benthic algal composition researches.

  • The seasonal change in attached algae and microbial community structure at sedimentation basin of water treatment plant was investigated by using quinone profiles and denaturing gel gradient electrophoresis (DGGE). The photosynthetic bacteria and algae contains PQ-9 and VK-1 as major quinone are major component of the total quinone fraction in attached algae and microorganisms on sedimentation basin trough. The microorganisms containing menaquinones appear to be sensitivity to the change in temperature than those containing ubiquinones. The plot of the mole fraction of dominant quinone species ($f_d$) to the DQ values showed higher sensitivity to the seasonal change in the microbial community structure. The results indicated that quinone and DGGE are useful tool for the evaluation of the changes in the microbial community structure.

  • In the traditional rural community social relationships among the people are the routes of resources. But as industrialization goes on rural community has changed. I wonder that rural housewives have yet the traditional social network structure. This stud purposed to analyze the structure of social network resource exchange and perception of community resources. Results were as follows: 1. In the rural housewife's social network structure network range and depth were affected by family income age of the youngest and farming time. Network boundary was affected by near environmental variables such as community resources and community level of living. 2. Community resources was the most influential variable in the resource exchanged 3. Perception of community resources was affected by network depth and was not by the resource exchange.

  • To investigate the plant community structure of Paekdam-Valley in Soraksan National Park, fifty-two plots have been set up and surveyed. By DCA ordination technique, the plant communities were classified into fkve community types, which were Pinus densiflora community and Q. mongolica community. It was supposed that Q. serrata community change to C. laxiflora community. It seemed that P. densiflora community, deciduous broad-leaved mixed forest and Q. serrata community would not be replace by another woody species. And it seemed that C. laxiflora community succeeded to Q. serrata community, so it was similar to the typical ecological succession of natural forest in the middle temperate regions. The range of Shannon's diversity index was 0.9827~1.2946(Unit area : 400m$^2$) and that was over another Korean National Parks area relatively.
