This study is on the carving decoration which makes visual beauty and luxury mood upon serving foods to customers in the food service industry. It investigated 413 cooks working for hotels and luxury restaurants to examine how they recognize carving decoration. The purpose of this study is as follows. First, it examines the present condition of educating cooks about carving decoration. Next, for their general perception of carving decoration, it investigated the most popular field in which carving decoration is used, the types of carving decoration they want to learn most, and the types of business which need carving decoration most by the type of carving. The research result finds out that many cooks have much interest in carving decoration, and it seems that carving decoration is necessary when they are working. However, educational institutions they can learn the skills have not been established. This research shows its necessity in the education system with fundamental data.

This study examines carving decoration which makes visual beauty and luxury mood upon serving foods to customers in the food service industry. 413 cooks working for hotels and luxury restaurants were investigated for how they need carving decoration. First, general importance upon serving foods to customers and upon carving decoration was examined; and it was considered if such importance shows statistically meaningful difference by cooks' general characteristics(e.g., gender, academic career, age, work experience). Also, this study explores the necessity of carving decoration in their situation. As a result, cooks regard carving decoration as very important, and its necessity was as high as cooking experience. In addition, necessity was high in buffet, Japanese foods and Chinese foods. A cook can provide visual pleasure to customers and heighten the artistry of foods with carving and decorating skills, so opening a relative course of study seems to be required in cooking-related fields and institutes in order to foster manpower with learned carving and decorating skills.

본 논문은 여러 장의 이미지로부터 삼차원 모델을 빠르게 복원하기 위한 다각형 기반 Space Carving 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 알고리즘은 기존의 복셀 carving 연산에 다각형 carving 연산을 추가하여 기존 복셀 carving 기법의 단점인 렌더링 품질의 저하와 느린 렌더링 속도 문제를 보완하였다. 따라서 복원된 모델은 다각형 구조를 가지며, 이로부터 텍스쳐 매핑을 이용한 빠른 속도의 고품질 렌더링 기법이 가능해진다. 또한 다각형 carving 후잉여 데이터를 삭제함으로써 복원된 모델의 품질 저하없이 메모리를 줄이고, 더욱 빠른 렌더링을 가능하게 한다.

The purpose of this paper is estimating environmental carving capacity of Seoul Metropolitan Area for a sustainable city management using system dynamics model. A sustainable development requires a society to define sustainability constraints or environmental limits, environmental carving capacity. Environmental carving capacity can be defined as the level of human activity which a region can sustain at an acceptable quality of life level. This concept of environmental carving capacity has several important application to sustainable city planning and management. If the limitation of a human activity can be supported by a scientific data on carving capacity, the resulting decision and actions could more easily win public support for a sustainable development. However, one of the key issues is how to operationalize the carving capacity. In this paper, the environmental carving capacity was operationalized as a maximum number of industry structure, population, and housing that can sustain certain level of environmental quality of Seoul Metropolitan Area. The model developed in this paper consisted off sectors: population, housing, industry, land, and environmental sector. The model limits its main focus on the NO$_2$level of ambient air of Seoul. Carving capacity Seoul Metropolitan Area was estimated by figuring out the maximum number of population, industry structure, housing at an equilibrium point that sustain a desirable NO$_2$level. Based on the model estimation, several policy implications for a sustainable city management was discussed.

File Carving is a technique for attempting to recover a file without metadata, such as a formated storage media or a damaged file system, and generally looks for a specific header / footer signature and data structure of the file. However, file carving is faced with the problem of recovering fragmented files for a long time, and it is very important to propose a solution for digital forensics because important files are relatively fragmented. To overcome these limitations, various carving techniques and tools are continuously being developed, and data sets from various researches and institutions are provided for functional verification. However, existing data sets are ineffective in verifying tools because of their limited environmental conditions. Therefore, this paper refers to the importance of fragmented file carving and develops 16 images for carving tool verification based on scenarios. The developed images' carving rate and accuracy of each media is shown through Foremost which is well known as a commercial carving tool.

Tooth carving practice is required for novice learners in dentistry to understand dental morphology and acquire clinically underlying skills. Tooth carving practice is more effective when sequential models can be observed. The purpose of this study is to suggest a tooth carving practice model and to develop a mobile practice supporting tool based on tutorial providing 3D modeling information about steps of tooth carving. As a result, tooth carving practice model consists of the class activity including tooth information lecture and practice and mobile seamless learning connecting learners' practice and regular learning with the mobile tutorial tool. The mobile tutorial tool is implemented with tooth morphology dictionary, tooth carving practice/training tutorial, and 3D tooth modeling. The experts' evaluation on the developed contents shows that the content and function are valid(content validity: 5.0, interface validity: 4.53). Therefore, the mobile tutorial tool is suitable for supporting mobile seamless learning for tooth carving practice. Further researches are expected to be conducted to develop instructional models utilizing ICT and mobile contents in dentistry.

This paper examines the effect of the choice properties of food carving decoration lectures on the recommendation and revisiting intention. As the culinary industry grows, consumers seek not only the value of satiety through food but also the value of aesthetics. They perceived satisfaction from the taste and appearance of the food as well as the interior of the restaurant and the service. Food carving is an important means of fulfilling consumer satisfaction value which is ever-changing. This study attempts to analyze the relationship between the choice properties of food carving lectures and the course recommendation and revisiting intention. This study hypothesis was formulated and the survey was conducted on 125 respondents who had experienced food carving lectures. The reliability and validity of measurement items were verified through Cronbach's Alpha and factor analysis. As a result, all measurement items showed no abnormality. The results of the analyses are as follows. The education satisfaction, education commitment, and brand image, the choice properties of food carving decoration lecture, were found to have a positive effect on the recommendation intention. The results also showed that the education commitment and brand image of food carving decoration lectures were positively associated with revisiting intention. Lastly, the implications of these findings were suggested and for future research were discussed.

The purpose of this study is to examine consumers' recognition, purchase intention, price acceptability of carving decoration, which can be said to be one part of food-space presentation, food styling, and table decoration. For this, a survey was carried out to target adults in over 20 years old who use a bus and a subway during morning and evening time in Daegu area from May 18, 2009 to May 22, 2009, and 296 copies were used for the final analysis. As a result of the research, over 50% of the consumers know about carving, saying they have come to mow it mostly through TV. Carving was mentioned to be probably used the most in buffet restaurants and other types of restaurants, and to be likely to be used the most in buffet restaurants and Japanese-style food Also, they responded that flower-butterfly carving & Japanese-style food, animal-form carving & Chinese-style food, and watermelon carving & buffet are harmonized the most. In addition, consumers with high recognition of carving decoration were indicated to be high in purchase intention and price acceptability. Also, Consumers with low recognition of carving decoration perceive very low price acceptability even if being high in purchase intention. However, when purchase intention of consumers with high recognition of carving decoration was high, price acceptability was indicted very highly.

In order for data obtained through all stages of digital crime investigation to be recognized as evidence capability, it must satisfy legal / technical requirements. In this paper, we propose a mechanism and implement software to provide digital forensic evidence by automatically recovering files by scanning / inspecting the unallocated area inside the storage disk block without relying on information provided by the file system. The proposed technique checks / analyzes the RAW disk data of the system under analysis in 512-byte block units based on information on the storage format / file structure of various files stored on the disk without referring to the file system-related information provided by the operating system. The file carving process was implemented, and a smart carving mechanism was proposed to intelligently restore deleted or damaged files in the storage device. As a result, we have provided a block based smart carving method to intelligently identify fragmented and damaged files in storage efficiently for forgery analysis on digital forensic investigation.

These days digital data have become essential for digital investigation because most of the crime was occurred by using the digital devices. However, digital data is very easier to falsify or delete. If digital data was deleted, it is necessary to recover the deleted data for obtain digital evidence. Even though file carving is the most important thing to gather. digital evidence in digital forensic investigation, most of popular carving tools don't contemplate methods of selection or restoration for digital forensic investigation. The goal of this research is suggested files which can obtain useful information for digital forensic investigation and proposed new record file carving technique to be able to recover data effectively than before it.
