  • The domestic casino industry is attempting to change from the existing single form to the advanced-type of complex casino resort. In addition, the importance of the security management system, which prevents and responds to accidents caused by negative influences of gambling, is emphasized at the casino enterprise level. Therefore, this study aimed to find measures to revitalize the security management system for domestic casinos only for foreigners through an analysis of relevant literature and case studies. As a result of the analysis, it was found that in order to effectively cope with changes in the casino industry, three areas were needed to be revamped: (1) a lack of protocols which intend to protect casino security personnel, (2) an inefficient operational system due to the dualized casino security management system, and (3) a lack of systematic educational system for casino security personnel. This study therefore proposed three measures: (1) a review of revisions of related laws to protect casino security personnel, (2) enhancement of professionalism of casino security personnel and (3) establishment of a single operating system of the casino security management operating system.

Burnout is a big problem which thwarts their professionalism and effectualness and the effectiveness of the service they provide. Depression is a core factor which affects one's mental health. To analyze the effects of emotional labor on casino workers' burnout and depression, we conducted a survey of 606 casino dealers of H resort and analyzed the results. Burnout was measured in terms of the client-related burnout and work-related burnout by the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory (CBI), and depression was measured by the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI). The research findings are as follows. First, the level of emotional labor (3.50) was higher than the mid-point on the 4 point Likert scale, and the work-related burnout (3.86) and client-related burnout (3.91) were higher than the mid-point on the 5 point Likert scale. Second, emotional labor was correlated to their depression and burnout. Third, emotional labor showed a significant difference according to gender, while burnout showed significant differences according to age, position and term of service. • This research has examined in depth professional books, advance research, related statistics, and internet data to present security environment changes and countermeasures that may arise due to changes in the domestic hospitality industry. The Hospitality industry characteristics and the trend of change at home and abroad were analyzed. Based on the analysis results, the global hospitality industry has minimized the negative impact of the gambling industry held by casinos through Integrated Resorts, and confirmed that the individual characteristics of various hospitality industries, such as Hotels, MICE, Performances and Shopping, have been developed in such a way that they can exert positive synergy. It has confirmed that South Korea is also trying to revitalize its sluggish economic growth by setting up strategies for industrializing the Integrated Resort and developing the Integrated Resort industry. Based on this, the security environment changes that could occur in individual Integrated Resort companies and the region were expected from five perspectives, and three levels of government/industry/personal response measures were proposed for effective response to changes in the security environment.
