  • Three isoprenylated flavanones were isolated from the leaves of Flemingia lineata (L.) Aiton. Among them are two new flavanones, flemilineatins A and B (1-2), along with 6-isoprenyl eridioctyol (3). Their structures were determined using HRESIMS data and NMR spectra. Flavanones 1 - 3 were assayed in the HeLa cancer cells. Compound 1 showed moderate activity with an IC50 value of 11.2 μM.

  • A simple, green and chemo-selective method for the N-benzyloxycarbonylation of amines, ${\beta}$-amino alcohols, ${\alpha}$-amino esters and sulfonamides has been developed under microwave irradiation. Good to excellent yields of the N-benzyloxycarbamates compounds were obtained in short times without any side products.

  • Three hairpin polyamides were designed and synthesized by a haloform reaction and DCC/HOBt coupling reaction without amino protection and deprotection. Their anticancer activity were investigated with three kinds of cell lines-hepatic carcinoma, lung carcinoma and gastric carcinoma, and the values of $IC_{50}$ were at range of $10^{-7}~10^{-8}M$.

  • A new isoprenylated acetophenone, acronyculatin P (1) as well as two known compounds, 3',5'-diisoprenyl-2',4'-dihydroxy-6'-methoxyphenylethanone (2) and 3'-isoprenyl-2',4',6'-trihydroxyphenylethanone (3) were isolated from the stem bark of Acronychia pedunculata (L.) Miq. The structures were determined by HRESIMS, 1D and 2D NMR. The inhibitory activity of the isoprenylated acetophenone derivatives against murine leukemia P-388 cells showed compound 1 moderate activity with $IC_{50}$ $15.42{\mu}M$.

  • Benzisothiazolinone (BIT) is the preservative that is widely used in industrial and household products. In this study, zebrafish (Danio rerio) was exposed to BIT at different concentrations (control, 0.5 g/L, 1.0 g/L and 2.0 g/L) for 72 hours. The techniques of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy were applied to analyze the effects of BIT on zebrafish. The advantages of NMR are the minimal sample preparation and high reproducibility of experimental results. With the multivariate statistical analysis, dimethylamine, N-acetylaspartate, glycine and histidine were identified as an important metabolite in differentiating between the control and BIT-exposed group. This study will improve the understanding the metabolite changes in the zebrafish in response to BIT exposure.
