  • This study is an attempt to furnish some helpful data for the maximum use of online information retrieval systems based on the comparative analysis of commands and operating terms employed by DIALOG, ORBIT and BRS which are three largest information retrieval systems in the world. To begin with, the historical development, service contents and retrieval functions of three systems were overviewed in the second chapter, on the basis of which the concrete functions and contents of the commands and the operating terms of the three systems were compared and analyzed one another. Commands were explained divided into basic and special ones. The basic commands subdivided into 44 items were put into the form of a diagram(Table 1). The special commands were first subdivided into search commnad, output-related commands and su n.0, pplementary commands, and then 14 items of which were comparatively analyzed and were represented as a chart(Table 2). In addition, any stand-alone commands employed by each system were also analyzed as a chart(Table 3). The Operating terms other than commands were subdivided into 16 items and were represented as a chart(Table 4). Password, inverted file, search step number in search session, etc were explained to the very detailed extent. A self-evident, single word is that the through understanding of commands is essential to the maximm use of all the functions of each of three systems.

  • In this paper, we suggest machine control method by the Recognition of Literal Commands. This method that we design is human friendly interface to be able to command easy We distinguish words that is related to command directly or not in the Literal Commands. And vague expressions to move machine directly make behaviors by intelligent recognition model. We suggest The Literal Commands control method that is able to obtain more realistic output equivalent to users' desire throgh the literary style commands. The proposed method is experimentally tested by a mobile car using bluetooth module and mobile phone in real time using Literal language commands.

  • We consider an AS/RS(Automated Storage/ Retrieval System) which performs single and dual commands. In this paper, we also assume that the service times of single and dual commands are differently distributed. We transform the arrival rates of storage and retrieval commands into those of single and dual commands. Using this, we propose a non-preemptive queueing model with priority for the performance analysis of a AS/RS, and obtain approximated means of queue lengths and sojourn times.

  • The primary purpose of this research was to examine Korean childrens concepts of authority. Childrens judgments about commands of persons with varying age, social position, and knowledge were assessed. 48 subjects from the first, third, and fifth grades were presented with portrayals of persons giving children commands regarding two types of events: fighting and a game rule dispute. Subjects evaluated the legitimacy of commands and chose between different persons giving opposing commands. With regard to a command to stop fighting, subjects accepted the legitimacy of adult and peer authorities, as well as an adult without a position of authority. Subjects rejected commands that failed to prevent harm even when given by an adult authority. With regard to a game rule dispute, subjects most heavily weighted knowledge in evaluating the authority commands. The findings show that Korean children do not have a unitary orientation to adult authority, and have implications for an understanding of individuals' conceptions in the context of a cultural ideology emphasizing reverence for authority.

  • The conventional closed-loop guidance commands are generated from a simplified point mass model for real time operations. In real situations, the generated guidance commands are applied to the original rigid body. This can cause attitude instability of the vehicle. In this paper, in order to solve the attitude instability problem in the guidance system sense, the influence of the guidance commands on a launch vehicle attitude is derived quantitatively. The checking method of the attitude stability conditions that uses Liapunov theorem is proposed, and the attitude stabilizing method is also proposed. The attitude stability is accomplished by subtracting the influence of the guidance commands that destabilize the vehicle attitude. The closed-loop guidance commands generated from the simplified point mass model may destabilize the vehicle attitude, which is verified through simulations. In this case, the vehicle attitude can be always stabilized with the proposed attitude stabilizing method without additive fuel consumption.

  • It is not possible to exchange parametric information of CAD models based on the current version of STEP (Standard for the Exchange of Product model data). The designer intents are lost during the transfer of CAD models. To resolve this problem, the macro-parametric approach had been proposed. To enable this approach, a set of standard modeling commands has been defined. Errors or missing elements of the standard modeling commands can be discovered by implementing macro-parametric translators. But there is a limit to discover problems only by using translators. This paper proposes a method to verify the standard modeling commands by implementing a geometric modeler. First, each argument of a modeling command is verified. Second, the set of the standard modeling commands is applied to geometric modeling of commercially available product parts. For the geometric modeling, nine test models have been selected.

  • It is not possible to exchange parametric information of CAD (Computer Aided Design) models based on the current version of STEP (Standard leer the Exchange of Product model data). The design intent can be lost during the STEP transfer of CAD models. The ISO Parametrics Group has proposed the SMCH (Solid Model Construction History) schema in June 2000 that includes structures fur exchange of parametric information. This paper proposes the macro parametric approach that is intended to provide capabilities to transfer parametric information. In this approach, CAD models are exchanged in the form of macro files. The macro file contains user commands which are used in the modeling phase. To exchange CAD models using the macro parametric approach, modeling commands of commercial CAD systems are analyzed. Those commands are classified by the grouping method suggested by Bill Anderson. As a neutral file format, a standard modeling commands set has been defined. Mapping relations between the standard modeling commands set and the native modeling commands set of commercial CAD systems are defined.

  • It is not possible to exchange parametric information of CAD models based on the current version of STEP. The design intent can be lost during the STEP transfer of CAD models. The Parametrics Group of ISO/TC184/SC4 has proposed the SMCH schema, which includes constructs for exchange of parametric information. This paper proposes a macro-parametric approach that is intended to provide capabilities to transfer parametric information including design intents. In this approach, CAD models are exchanged in the form of macro files. The macro file contains the history of user commands, which are used in the modeling phase. To exchange CAD models using the macro-parametric approach, the modeling commands of several commercial CAD systems are analyzed. Those commands are classified and a set of standard modeling commands has been defined. Mapping relations between the standard modeling commands and the native modeling commands of commercial CAD systems are defined. The scope of the current version is limited to parts modeling, not assemblies.

  • Most commercial CAD systems provide parametric modeling functions, and by using these capabilities designers can edit a CAD model in order to create design variants. It is necessary to transfer parametric information during a CAD model exchange to modify the model inside the receiving system. However, it is not possible to exchange parametric information of CAD models based on the cur-rent version of STEP. The designer intents which are contained in the parametric information can be lost during the STEP transfer of CAD models. This paper introduces a hybrid CAB model translator, which also uses the feature tree of commercial CAD systems in addition to the macro file to allow transfer of parametric information. The macro-parametric approach is to exchange CAD models by using the macro file, which contains the history of user commands. To exchange CAD models using the macro-parametric approach, the modeling commands of several commercial CAD systems are analyzed. Those commands are classified and a set of standard modeling commands has been defined. As a neutral fie format, a set of standard modeling commands has been defined. Mapping relations between the standard modeling commands set and the native modeling commands set of commercial CAD systems are defined. The scope of the current version is limited to parts modeling and assemblies are excluded.

  • Most of the PC users manipulate the computer by using a few commands which are familiar with them. However by using Hangul sentences instead of using DOS commands, the optimal commands can be generated and flexibility can be provided. For this purpose, the conversion method of the input sentence into DOS commands is studied by means of morphological analysis, syntactic analysis, semantic analysis, and conceptual analysis. Tabular parsing is used in morphological analysis. case grammar is used in syntactic and semantic analysis. Case grammar is used in syntactic and semantic analysis. The meaning of sentence is represeented by the semantic network, from which we can generate a sequence DOS commands.
