  • In this paper, the optimal power control problem in a cooperative relay network is investigated and a new power control scheme is proposed based on a non-cooperative differential game. Optimal power allocated to each node for a relay is formulated using the Nash equilibrium in this paper, considering both the throughput and energy efficiency together. It is proved that the non-cooperative differential game algorithm is applicable and the optimal power level can be achieved.

  • In human-mechanical cooperative systems, a significant issue is to improve the control performance and the maneuvering feeling of human operation. However, since it is not easy to evaluate the feeling of operators numerically, control engineers design controllers only through experience. Thus, in this paper, a new evaluation method for control performance of human-mechanical cooperative system is proposed based on the reserge waveform. Various distortions of waveform represent deteriorations of control performance and maneuvering feeling. In some cases, since there is a tradeoff between the control performance and the maneuvering feeling, it is difficult to compensate for both of them by usual feedback controllers. To overcome this situation, the two degrees of freedom control system is applied to human-mechanical cooperative system. Some numerical simulation results for an electric power steering system are shown to confirm the effectiveness of proposed control design method.

  • In this paper, we consider cooperative elliptic systems under conjugation conditions. We first prove the existence of the state for 2 × 2 cooperative elliptic systems with Dirichlet and Neumann conditions, then we find the set of equations and inequalities that characterizes the optimal control of distributed type for these systems. The case of n × n cooperative systems is also established.

  • The fundamental aim of this paper is to present a solution algorithm to achieve cooperative contour controlling, under joint acceleration constraint with maximum cooperative speed. Usually, the specifications like maximum velocity of cooperative trajectory are determined by the application itself. In resolving the cooperative trajectory into two complementary trajectories, an optimum task resolving strategy is employed so that the task assignment for each robot is fair under the joint acceleration constraint. The proposed algorithm of being an off-line technique, this could be effectively and conveniently extended to the existing servo control systems irrespective of the computational power of the controller implemented. Further, neither a change in hardware setup nor considerable reconfiguration of the existing system is required in adopting this technique. A simulation study has been carried out to verify that the proposed method can be realized in the generation of complementary trajectories so that they could meet the stipulated constraints in simultaneous maneuvering.

  • This paper proposes methods for the cooperative control of multiple mobile robots and constructs a robotic soccer system in which the cooperation will be implemented as a pass play of two robots. To play a soccer game, elementary actions such as shooting and moving have been designed, and Q-learning, which is one of the popular methods for reinforcement learning, is used to determine what actions to take. Through simulation, learning is successful in case of deliberate initial arrangements of ball and robots, thereby cooperative work can be accomplished.

  • Automatic guided vehicle(AGV) in the factory has an important role to advance the flexible manufacturing system. In this paper, we propose a novel object-transportation control algorithm of cooperative AGV systems to apply decentralized control scheme based on virtual-passivity. It is shown that the cooperative AGV systems ensure stability and the convergence to scaled multiple of each desired velocity field for multiple AGV systems. Finally, the application of proposed virtual passivity-based decentralized control algorithm via system augmentation is applied to be the tracking a circle. Also. the simulation results for the object-transportation by two AGV systems illustrate the validity of the proposed control scheme.

  • Automatic guided vehicle in the factory has an important role to advance the flexible manufacturing system. In this paper, we propose a novel object-transportation control algorithm of cooperative AGV systems to apply decentralized control to multiple AGV systems. Each AGV system is under nonholonomic constraints and conveys a common object-transportation in a horizontal plain. Moreover it is shown that cooperative robot systems ensure stability and the velocities of augmented systems convergence to a scaled multiple of each desired velocity field for cooperative AGV systems. Finally, the application of proposed virtual passivity-based decentralized control algorithm via system augmentation is applied to trace a circle. Finally, the simulation and experimental results for the object-transportation by two AGV systems illustrates the validity of the proposed virtual-passivity decentralized control algorithm.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of applying jigsaw cooperative learning to basic nursing practicums on self-directed learning ability, self-efficacy, and learning outcomes. Methods: This study was based on a non-equivalent control group design, and the subjects were nursing students. The study allocated 30 people in the experimental group and 30 people in the control group, and jigsaw cooperative learning was applied to the experimental group for 2 hours every week for a total of 8 weeks. The traditional educational method was applied to the control group. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS v26.0. Results: The experimental group to which jigsaw cooperative learning was applied showed statistically significant differences in self-directed learning ability (F=4.49, p=.038), self-efficacy (F=6.15, p=.016), and learning outcomes (F=19.48, p<.001) compared to the control group. Conclusion: By applying jigsaw cooperative learning to basic nursing practicums, this study confirmed its effect not only on the effective domain such as self-directed learning ability and self-efficacy, but also on learning outcomes in the practical domain. We propose future studies apply jigsaw cooperative learning to various practice classes to achieve learning outcomes that focus on cultivating students' practical capabilities.

  • We propose a novel cooperative guidance law design method based on the finite time disturbance observer (FTDO) for multiple near space interceptors (NSIs) with impact time control. Initially, we construct a cooperative guidance model with head pursuit, and employ the FTDO to estimate the system disturbance caused by target maneuvering. We subsequently separate the cooperative guidance process into two stages, and develop the normal acceleration command based on the super-twisting algorithm (STA) and disturbance estimated value, to ensure the convergence of the relative distance. Then, we also design the acceleration command along the line-of-sight (LOS), based on the nonsingular fast terminal sliding mode (NFTSM) control, to ensure that all the NSIs simultaneously hit the target. Furthermore, we prove the stability of the closed-loop guidance system, based on the Lyapunov theory. Finally, our simulation results of a three-to-one interception scenario show that the proposed cooperative guidance scheme makes all the NSIs hit the target at the same time.
