Decision Rule using Confidence Based Anti-phone Model and Interrupt-Polling Method for Distributed Speech Recognition DSP Networking System (분산형 음성인식 DSP 네트워킹 시스템을 위한 반음소 모델기반의 신뢰도를 사용한 결정규칙과 인터럽트-폴링)

  • Far-talking recognition and distributed speech recognition networking techniques are essential to control various and complex home services conveniently with voices. It is possible to control devices everywhere at home by using only voices. In this paper, we have developed the server-client DSP module for distributed speech recognition network system and proposed a new decision rule to decide intelligently whether to accept the recognition results or not by the transferred confidence rate. Simulation results show that the proposed decision rule delivers better performances than the conventional decision by majority rule or decision by first-arrival. Also, we have proposed the new interrupt-polling technique to remedy the defect of existing delay technique which always has to wait several clients' results for a few seconds. The proposed technique queries all client's status after first-arrival and decides whether to wait or not. It can remove unnecessary delay-time without any performance degradation.

  • In this paper, we have designed a platform with MSC8101 processor for networked converter monitoring and diagnosis. MSC8101 is a dual processor type SOC(System On a Chip), which is consist of 16bit DSP and 32bit RISK CPM. As it have DSP and CPM, MSC8101 is competent for networking and data processing application. This MSC8101 platform is designed for networked monitoring and diagnosis, so it is important processing ability and networking capability.

  • Parallel processing algorithms, coupled with advanced networking and distributed computing architectures, improve the overall computational performance, dependability, and versatility of a digital signal processing system In this paper, novel parallel algorithms are introduced and investigated for advanced sonar algorithm, conventional matched-field processing (CMFP). Based on a specific domain, each parallel algorithm decomposes the sequential workload in order to obtain scalable parallel speedup. Depending on the processing requirement of the algorithm, the computational performance of the parallel algorithm reveals different characteristics. The high-complexity algorithm, CMFP shows scalable parallel performance on the array of DSP processors. The impact on parallel performance due to workload balancing, communication scheme, algorithm complexity, processor speed, network performance, and testbed configuration is explored.

  • An objection of this study is to develop a high stable analytic system of radioactive pulses. The proposed system consists of an amplifying circuit with 60dB gain, a programmable power supply unit which can generate DC voltage up to 1, 500V, and a digital signal processor. Pulse height distribution in accordance with pulse counts is important data in analyzing radioactive pulses. In this study, AD convertor (12bit, l00ns) and DSP (TMS 320C31-60) are used to analyze the pulse height, and the analytic system is designed to be operated in PC-networking.

  • Security and monitoring system has many applications and commonly used for detection, warning, alarm, etc. As the networking technology advances, user requirements are getting higher. An intelligent and cooperative surveillance system is proposed to meet current user demands and improve the performance. This paper focuses on the implementation issue for the embedded intelligent surveillance system. To cover wide area cooperative function is implemented and connected by wireless sensor network technology. Also to improve the performance lots of sensors are employed into the surveillance system to reduce the error but improve the detection probability. The proposed surveillance system is composed of vision sensor (camera), mic array sensor, PIR sensor, etc. Between the sensors, data is transferred by IEEE 802.11s or Zigbee protocol. We deployed a private network for the sensors and multiple gateways for better data throughput. The developed system is targeted to the traffic accident detection and alarm. However, its application can be easily changed to others by just changing software algorithm in a DSP chip.
