Real-Time Implementation of an Acoustic Echo Canceller Using TMS320C31 DSP (TMS320C31 DSP를 이용한 음향반향제거기의 실시간 구현)

  • The goal of this research is the real-time implementation of an AEC (Acoustic Echo Canceller) using the floating-point digital signal processor of TMS320C31. We employ an FIR-type adaptive filter with the conventional NLMS (Normalized Least Mean Square) algorithm for the adaptation of filter coefficients. We program and optimize the system in the assembler level to make it run in real-time. With 8 kHz sampling rate, the implemented AEC requires $46\;\mu$sec and $77\;\mu$sec computational time per sample for 128-and 256-tap filter, respectively. It corresponds to 37% and 62% of maximum computational ability of TMS320C31 DSP.

  • In this paper, For operator's conveniency of the mobile robot, achieved the system which control the robot by adopting the speaker independently isolated word recognition and by implementing the real time with TMS320C31. and This paper using the Tri-ultrasonics range finder to detect obstacles and implements the mobile robot. In this paper, DSP processor (TMS320C31) is used signal processing for speech recognition in the real time and Micro processor(80C196KC) is controling the ultrasonics range finders.

  • In this paper, we implemented QPSK(Quadrature Phase-Shift Keying) modem which is widely used for communication systems, using a general Digital Signal Processor(DSP), TM320C31. Up to now, almost all of communication systems consist of hardware. However, the implemented system herein is composed of software and hardware part. Software part includes the modulation process, before passing D/A(Digital-to-Analog Converter) and the demodulation process, after passing A/D(Analog-to-Digital Converter) in IF(Intermediate Frequency) node. Hardware part is related to input, output and process of signal. To demonstrate the successful implementation of modem, the output results obtained from DSP processor are compared with the simulated result on the personal computer.

  • In this paper, we proposed speech feature vector extractor for embedded system using TMS 320C31 DSP chip. For this extractor, we used algorithm using cepstrum coefficient based on LPC(Linear Predictive Coding) that is reliable algorithm to be is widely used for speech recognition. This system extract the speech feature vector in real time, so is used the mobile system, such as cellular phones, PDA, electronic note, and so on, implemented speech recognition.

  • Recently with the development of power switching device and DSP which has peripheral devices to control AC servo system, the servo technology has met a new development opportunity. Those things make it possible to reduce the time of developing a AC servo system. Fixed point DSP such as TMS320F240x, and TMS320F28x series have a disadvantage in calculating floating number where TMS320C32 or TMS320C31 are floating point DSP. However they usually become a complex hardware system to implement the AC servo system and it increases the cost. In this study, a DSP based AC servo system with a 3-phase PMSM is proposed. The newly produced DSP TMX320F28l2-version C which has the performance of fast speed, 150MIPS, and a rich peripheral interface such as a 12bit high speed AD converter, QEP(Quadrature Encoder Pulse) circuit, PDPINT(Power Drive Protect Interrupt), SVPWM module and dead time module are used. This paper presents a method to overcome fixed point calculating using scaling all parameters. Also space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) using off-set voltage and a digital PI control are implemented to the servo system.

  • The goal of this paper is development ofa DSP based three phase power quality analyzer. Power analysis algorithm is a correlation function and it is accomplished using stand alone type TMS320C31 DSP(digital signal processor)board. Results of power analysis are displayed by LCD and D/A converter on the proposed system. Finally, this paper also goes on to discuss the performance of an instrument prototype, compared with one of those foreign models, both in terms of accuracy and speed of measurement.

  • In this paper, the design and the implementation of the controller for an articulate robot, which is developed in our Automatic Control Laboratory, are mainly discussed. The controller reduces software computational load via distributed processing method using multiple CPU's, and simplifies structures by the time-division control with TMS320C31 DSP chip. The method of control is based on the fuzzy-compensated PID control with scale factor, which compensates for the influence of load variation resulting from the various postures of the robot with conventional PID scheme. The application of the proposed controller to the robot system with DC servo-motors shows some excellent control capabilities. Also, the response characteristics of system for the various trajectory commands verify the superiority of the controller.

  • 본 논문에서는 3GPP와 ETSI에서 IMT-2000의 음성부호화 방식 표준안으로 채택한 AMR 음성부호화 알고리즘을 분석하고 C 컴파일러와 어셈블리 언어를 이용한 최적화 과정을 거친 후, 고정 소수점 DSP 칩인 TMS320C6201을 이용하여 실시간 구현하였다. 구현된 codec의 프로그램 메모리는 약 31.06 kWords, 데이터 RAM 메모리는 약 9.75 kWords, 그리고 데이터 ROM 메모리는 약 19.89 kWords 정도를 가지며, 한 프레임(20 ms)을 처리하는데 약 4.38 ms가 소요되어 TMS320C6201 DSP 칩의 전체 가용한 clock의 21.94%만 사용하여도 충분히 실시간으로 동작 가능함을 확인하였다. 또한, DSP 보드상에서 구현한 결과가 ETSI에서 공개한 ANSI C 소스 프로그램의 수행 결과와 일치함을 검증하였고, 구현된 AMR 음성부호화기를 sound I/O 모듈과 결합하여 실험한 결과, 어떠한 음질의 왜곡이나 지연 없이 실시간으로 충분히 동작함을 확인하였다. 마지막으로, Host I/O와 LAN 케이블을 이용하여 AMR 음성부호화 알고리즘을 통한 쌍방간 실시간 통신을 full-duplex 모드로 확인하였다.

  • To improve the capability of instantaneous torque control, a design method of an MRAC-based adaptive current controller for a PMSM servo motor is proposed. In the synchronous frame current controller, a new control inputs can be obtained through the decoupling compensation. Using this, a desired controller bandwidth can be assigned However, the control performance may be degraded due to disturbances caused by the parameter variations or dead time of the switch. To improve these drawbacks, an adaptive current controller is proposed and the design method is obtained using the hyperstability theory. The asymptotic stability is proved and the effectiveness is verified through simulations and experiments using DSP TMS320C31.

  • In this paper, we designed add current scan system basically. Although NDT system using AC method in now days had problem with limit of detection rate and limit of device organization, in this paper, we made up these problem so that designed device smaller than system used, reduction of cost of system organization and precision of measuring crack. Also, AC leakage flux system had high accuracy about minute crack in the surface and advantage of designing system easily so that we designed system for concerning about crack of surface. Furthermore, it can be able to detect exact crack of reference in wide area by using DSP320C31 chip to reduce the time of measuring crack.
