The current study attempts to provide the field of knowledge management with theoretical grounds from the perspective of social network, resource dependency, and institutional theory. Social network theory considers that knowledge management plays a critical role in organizational innovation through the process of knowledge sharing/creation, communication systems, and a cooperative culture and trust, whereas resource dependency perceives knowledge management as contributing to cost reduction through the process of knowledge capture/storage, database systems, and reward/incentive systems. Plus, from the perspective of institutionalization, this study discusses that organizations can not benefit from knowledge management if it is adopted with the motive of isomorphic change. Finally, this study compares and integrates the three perspectives, and discusses the implications and limitations.

Business processes are often of long duration, and include internal worker's decision making, which makes business processes to be exposed to many exceptional situations. These properties of business processes makes it difficult to guarantee successful termination of business processes at the design phase. The behavioral properties of business processes mainly depends on the data aspects of business processes. To formalize the data aspect of process modeling, this paper proposes a graph-based model, called Data Dependency Graph (DDG), constructed from dependency relationships specified between business data. The paper also defines a mechanism of describing a set of mapping rules that generates a process model semantically equivalent to a DDG, which is accomplished by allocating data dependencies to component activities.

This study suggests ways to strengthen the expertise by analyzing the problems caused by the lack of expertise of the qualification management body managing the Korean qualifications in the realm of firefighting from the perspective of external signal dependency of capture theory. As a method to prevent the dependency of external signals in capture theory, it is suggested to strengthen the expertise of regulators and strengthening roles and functions of regulator institutions by supplementing education and professional manpower. On this basis, analyzing the problems of qualifications management to the external signal dependency tendency, the researchers in qualification management at the Human Resources Development Service of Korea have a variety of different majors, so understanding and application can be limited if they are working in an unfamiliar area of work. Therefore, in making decisions regarding topics such as policies and roles, suitable alternatives should be found based on external signals. In order to improve this, it is necessary to select firefighting majors in the Korean qualification management of the firefighting realm, to reorganize the job scope to a similar job field of the researcher in charge. It is also necessary to strengthen the expertise of the researcher through various programs, such as mandatory periodic maintenance education in order to understand the work of the researcher.

Smartphone is affecting not only our everyday life but also our business, directly causing diverse side-effects. But up until now, many researches that have been conducted on smartphone were focused on continuance intention for smartphone use and user satisfaction. Thus, the objective of this research is to investigate the effects that smartphone dependency has on digital dementia which is one of negative effects of smartphone. For the purpose, we have reviewed studies that are related to perceived characteristics of existing smartphones. As perceived characteristics variables, we have adopted perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. And to present our research model, we have adopted smartphone dependency as psychological attitude variable and digital dementia as consequence variable. To implement an empirical analysis of our research model, we have conducted a survey with college student groups as research target who use smartphone most.

A new approach to the logical design of 4NF database shceme, which can be easily automated, is proposed. The main features of the approach are : introduction of a single attribute right hand side, extension of the concept of independent relations, semantic analysis, and adaoption of dependency matrix. The underlying viewpoints of functional relationships of the approach are different from Fagin's in that we distinguish functional and multivalued dependency in terms of cardinality. An algorithm for automatic generation of fourth normal form is presented and implemented.

When airlines sell the same seats on an air flight at different fares, demand for a fare class depends on demand for other fare classes due to demand dependency. Demand dependencies occur when customers will buy other fare class tickets if the originally requested fare were unavailable, or when customers postpone their purchase decisions in anticipation of reopening of the lower fare in the next period. Demand dependency as a result customer buying behavior has a considerable profit implication, which was ignored in many earlier studies. We investigate the impact of demand dependency on the optimal booking limits and the expected revenues under a single-period and a two-period setting. We show how to find optimal booking limits of the problem and provide numerical examples to illustrate the impact.

Software development process evolves by component based development(CBD) process and introduction to configuration management system is risen recently. In this paper, we explained component configuration management system evolved out of CBD methodology and focused on the specification management in component configuration management. The component specification is being based on XML that is a normalization document. Also, component version management and dependency management are achieved by a component name. And component dependency information is just the integration information using a component specification name used in the composition when component specification is composed. Thus we confirmed possibility of version management and dependency management using the specification.

This paper investigates how internal knowledge dependency and its interaction with external knowledge adoption affect innovation performance in Korean companies. We categorize innovation performance into exploratory innovation and exploitative innovation. Especially, we examine business group effects as group headquarters and sister subsidiaries holistically form the boundary of the firm. Our empirical results first suggest that the degree of internal knowledge dependency is positively associated with exploitative innovation, but negatively with exploratory innovation. Second, internal knowledge dependency is more negatively related to exploratory innovation in independent firms than in business group affiliates. Third, independent firms' adoption of external knowledge tends to strengthen the positive relationship between internal knowledge dependency and exploitative innovation. Finally, exploitative external knowledge search appears to strengthen the negative relationship between internal knowledge dependency and exploratory innovation in both types of firms.

Objectives : This study aimed to identify factors of adolescents' cell-phone dependency using Agnew's General Strain Theory (GST) and the perspective of adolescents' micro-systems. A second aim was to verify the moderating effect of self-esteem. Methods : In total, 2,046 students who participated in a study on KCTPS mid. 1 panel 3 Wave by the National Youth Policy Institute were examined in this research. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability tests, and hierarchical linear regression using SPSS Ver. 22.0. Results : The strain factors had a positive effect on adolescents' depression, and depression had a positive effect on cell-phone dependency. In addition, self-esteem had a negative moderating effect between depression and cell-phone dependency. Conclusions : Factors of cell-phone dependency were identified. The findings of the study indicate that an intervention is required to lower strain and depression and to enhance self-esteem among adolescents.
