Recently EAI WG of IETF has published standards for multilingual support in the local part of the e-mail address. Between 2009 and 2010, EAI WG published RFC documents, called the EAI standard, extension to the existing mail-related RFC documents, and EAI has been implemented and tested. In the course of reviewing the results, this yielded a proposal to modify the EAI standard. As a result, EAI WG has published modified RFC documents, called the EAI bis standard. SMTPUTF8 mail server described in this paper has been implemented according to the EAI bis standard. In addition, it has the ability to support two different standards to support the multilingual domain part of the e-mail address, IDNA and EAI bis. Futhermore, SMTPUTF8 mail server can encode in punycode the local part of the e-mail address. Finally, interoperability testing shows that SMTPUTF8 mail server is well-implemented according to the EAI bis standard.

The company cannot optimize its computing environment just with individual solutions such as ERP(enterprise resource planning), SCM(supply chain management), CRM(customer relationship management), and KM(knowledge management). EAI(enterprise application integration) has emerged as an alternative that can optimize computing environment of the company through integrating such solutions and systems of distributed computing and mainframe environment. This paper reports the case study of Deakyo Co. in successfully implementing EAI. It describes project goal, project organization, project plan, the implemented EAI configuration and its features, the EAI effectiveness to the firm, and the critical success factors of the EAI project. This case study is thought to be useful as a practical guideline in carrying out EAI project of the company and to provide significant basis for constructing the theoretical framework of EAI project methodology.

대부분의 기업은 다양한 환경의 IT자원과 Application들을 운영해 왔으며, Point to Point 수준의 인터페이스를 개발 또는 운영해오다, 몇 년 전부터 전사적인 인터페이스 표준으로서 EAI(Enterprise Application Integration)을 도입해 왔다. 그러나 EAI를 도입한 대부분의 기업은 EAI도입 당시 기대한 ROI(Return of Investment)의 효과를 보지 못해왔으며, EAI개발 및 유지보수를 위한 비용이 적절한지 한번쯤 고민해 왔을 것이다. 본고는 SK텔레콤 EAI를 약 4년 이상 개발 및 운영경험과 사례를 기준으로 효과적인 EAI개발 및 운영 생산성을 향상 방안을 제안하고자 한다.

This paper describes the design and implementation of the PKI-based EAI system which is used for delivery of sensitive personal information between business systems. For this purpose, we propose a key exchange protocol with some key process : Diffie-Hellman Schema is used to provide forward secrecy, public key-based digital signature is used for EAI Server authentication, data integrity. In addition, in order to minimize the performance impact on the overall EAI systems. The EAI server was designed simply to be used only as a gateway. This paper shows the implementation of Korea public key authentication algorithm standard and a symmetric encryption algorithm for data encryption.

각 분야에서 최고를 자랑하는 전사적자원관리(ERP), 공급망관리(SCM), 고객관계관리(CRM), 지식관리(KM) 등의 솔루션을 도입하더라도 개별 솔루션만으로 모든 부분을 만족시킬 수는 없다. 이에 대한 대안으로 이들 솔루션들과 기존의 분산 환경 및 메인 프레임 환경을 통합하는 전사적인 기업애플리케이션통합(EAI)이 대두되고 있다. 본 연구는 주식회사 대교의 전사 기업애플리케이션 통합(EAI) 구축사례에 대한 분석을 통하여 EAI 추진방법 및 구성 그리고 주요성공요인들을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 내용들에 대하여 구체적으로 살펴보면 첫째, EAI 프로젝트의 추진목표, 전략, 추진조직 및 추진방법론, 둘째, 구현된 EAI 구성 및 특징, 셋째, EAI 구축성과 및 주요성공요인 등이다. 본 연구는 향우 EAI을 도입할 기업에게 EAI 구축과 관련한 유용한 자료가 되도록 하였다.

Recently companies are aggressively Pushing ahead with integrating the systematical applications of internal and external information systems such as Data level, Application level, Process level in the company, Process level between companies. The EAI solution is generally considered as the necessary tool to integrate companies, but the appraisal standard for the EAI solution has not Vet settled in Korea, so the companies have difficulty in deciding whether to adopt the EAI solution or not. Through this report, we first introduce the KRA Project as the best practice in making an application of the settled standard to evaluate and adopt the EAI solution, and then suggest that it can be adapted to companies considering applying to the EAI solution.

웹 환경의 확산과 기업의 인수합병 등으로 기업 내 응용 시스템들을 연결하는 작업의 중요성이 날로 커지고 있다. 이에 따라 EAI(Enterprise Application Integration)은 현재 기업 정보시스템 전략의 새로이 부각되고 있는 이슈로 아직 국내에서는 이에 대한 실질적인 연구나 도입이 미미한 형편이다. 본 논문에서는 현재 나타나고 있는 각종 EAI 접근법들을 분석하여 이들의 특정을 살펴보고 EAI에 대한 체계적 연구를 위한 EAI의 분류 체계를 제시하는데 목적이 있다.

Due to the need for multilingual e-mail address, EAI Working Group of the IETF has created a wide range of standards associated with e-mail address internationalization(EAI) since 2006. One of the authors and colleagues designed and implemented the mail server, SMTPUTF8, that supports EAI RFC protocols. SMTPUTF8 mail server is composed of new SMTP and POP3 servers supporting EAI RFC protocols. However, SMTPUTF8 did not include a new IMAP server supporting EAI RFC protocol. Recently many people are using smart phones to read and send e-mail messages in a mobile environment. IMAP server is more useful than POP3 server in a mobile environment. Therefore, in this paper, the authors have designed and implemented IMAP server and client app that complies with the IMAP standard (RFC) published by EAI WG of IETF to support multilingual e-mail address. This IMAP server is added to the SMTPUTF8 mail server so that users can access e-mail messages via IMAP client app in a mobile environment.

Recently enterprises introduce EAI systems and legacy business which already obtained for data integration among legacy systems. EAI systems in cooperative transaction environment can be expected efficient retrieval as sharing and integrating. However existing legacy systems have to introduce particular EAI solution because it is difficult to adjust standard technology to EAI due to be managed independently without considering interoperability. For solving these problems we use metadata registry using data integration. Various types, semantic specification data heterogeneity and heterogeneity of systems, however, are occurred. Therefore retrieval system based on XMDR(extended Meta-Data Registry) for data interoperability in the web environment are proposed in this paper.

EAI(Enterprise Application Integration) as an infrastructure of application integration had played an important role for many companies to make epochal changes, expense reduction, and new application services. The continuous monitoring and management of data covering whole environment of system operations should be well-supported so that the data consistency and system stability are guaranteed to implement and operate the services effectively. In this paper, the requirements and functions of monitoring system are defined for the stable EAI service. An actual web-based system is designed and implemented. This web-based monitoring system is broadly applicable to general EAI environments.
