Early Childhood Teachers' Content Knowledge on Green Growth Education

  • The purpose of the study was to examine early childhood teachers' content knowledge on green growth education. The subjects, 45 early childhood teachers, were asked to draw concept maps about early childhood green growth education. Their concept maps were analyzed in terms of superordinate and subordinate concepts by contents and frequencies. The results showed that early childhood teachers used 182 superordinate and 1,292 subordinate concepts in the concept map of green growth education for young children. Although early childhood teachers had a wealth of content knowledge on green growth education as proposed by the Ministry of Education, their knowledge was disproportionate to some areas and sub-areas of green growth education. These results implied the needs of developing teacher education programs for early childhood green growth education.

QoS Buffer Management of Multimedia Networking with GREEN Algorithm

  • The provision of QoS control is a key of the successful deployment of multimedia networks. Buffer management plays an important role in QoS control. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel QoS buffer management algorithm named GREEN (Global Random Early Estimation for Nipping), which extends the concepts of ERD (early random drop) and RED (random early detection). Specifically, GREEN enhances the concept of "Random" to "Global Random" by globally considering the random probability function. It also enhances the concept of "Early" to "Early Esti mation" by early estimating the network status. For performance evaluation, except compared with RED, extensive simulation cases are performed to probe the characteristics of GREEN.

버스 통행우선신호 도입에 관한 연구 (A Study on Evolution of Bus Priority System)

  • 버스 통행우선신호(TSP)와 관련된 외국의 사례를 살펴본 결과 버스운행시간이 $6{\~}32\%$감소하였다. TSP 기법을 울산도심의 주간선 도로인 문수로 4.07km 구간에 오전 첨두시 1시간의 동진하는 버스에 대해서 Early Green과 Extended Green기법을 적용하였다. 앞의 기법에서 평균 통행시간이 $18.1{\~}25.8\%$ 단축되었고 통행속도는 $30.9{\~}40.1\%$ 빨라졌다. 뒤 기법에서는 통행시간이 $12.1{\~}30.3\%$ 단축되었고, 통행속도는 $30.1\%$ 빨라졌다. 따라서 우리나라에서도 버스 TSP를 도입할 수 있을 것이다.

  • 버스우선신호는 도로상에서 버스에 물리적, 운영적 통행우선권을 부여하는 방법으로 신호 교차로에서 버스의 정시성 및 신속성, 서비스 개선을 통해 승객의 수송 효율과 도로 교통의 수송 용량을 높일 수 있는 대중교통 우선정책 기법이다. 본 연구에서는 결정적 지체모형의 하나인 HCM모형을 이용하여 중앙버스전용차로가 존재하는 독립교차로에서 능동형 버스우선신호 제공 방법론을 제시하였다. 능동형 버스우선신호의 기법 중 Early green과 Green extension 기법을 이용하여 버스가 이용하지 않는 비우선현시의 여유녹색시간을 버스가 이용하는 우선현시에 재분배하는 버스우선신호 방법론을 제시하였다. 또한, 이 방법론을 통하여 비우선현시의 여유녹색시간을 우선현시에 재분배 하였을 때 차량당 지체 및 사람당 지체가 어떻게 변화하는지에 대하여 분석하고 여유녹색시간의 민감도 분석을 통해 여유녹색시간이 정확한 값인지 알아보았다. 그 결과 교차로 전체의 차량당 지체는 다소 증가하고 사람당 지체는 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 민감도 분석결과 여유녹색시간의 변화가 30%미만일 경우 지체의 큰 차이는 없었으나 30%이상일 경우 버스우선신호의 효과가 떨어지는 것으로 분석 되었다.

녹색소비 실천교육이 유아의 녹색소비 인식 및 행동에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Green Consumption Practice Program for young children)

  • Green consumption refers to a variety of activities including use and purchase of eco-friendly products and services and disposing of products in an eco-friendly manner. The goal of this research was to evaluate the effects of a green consumption education and awareness program offered to young children in a university-sponsored daycare. The education and awareness program was designed to improve young children's knowledge and behaviors toward the environment through green consumption education. The program was presented to 22 5-year old children in 15-20 minutes sessions, once a week for 4 weeks. Evaluation of the program was carried out through individual interviews with the children and their mothers. Upon the completion of the green consumption education program, there were noticeable changes in children's knowledge and behavior toward the environment. Mothers of participating children reported that children's environmental behaviors changed significantly, displaying a stronger green consumption attitude. This study suggests that environmental educational program during early childhood educational is an effective way of improving children's perceptions of environmental and conservation practices.

녹차추출물의 산화적 스트레스에 대한 억제효과 (Protective Effect of Green Tea Extracts on Oxidative Stress)

  • Green tea is of particular source as it has been found to have strong antioxidant activities. The extracts of green tea during the commercial harvest seasons from April, 2003 to August, 2003 were compared. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between the polyphenol content of green teas and its antioxidant activities. The con-tent of total polyphenols was analyzed and several antioxidant testings were performed. The levels of total polyphenols were higher in the green teas (e.g. Woojeon, Sejak) harvested during very early spring and lower in the green teas harvested late(eg. Ipha, Yepcha). In particular, the free radical scavenging, the inhibition of LDL oxidation, the cytoprotective effect and the inhibition of DNA damage were correlated with the total polyphenol contents of green tea extracts harvested early spring such as Woojeon, Sejak and Jungjak. The results obtained here show that all extracts of green teas including purified green tea catechin, GTC, have strong antioxidant activities on oxidative stress in vifrθ. The variation in polyphenol content and antioxidant activities among various types of green tea by the harvesting time may provide critical information for investigators and consumers using tea in purposes of nutrition and chemoprevention.

Growth Characteristics and Productivity of Italian Ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum Lam.) New Variety, 'Green Call 2ho'

  • This experiment was conducted to breed a very early maturing variety of Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum Lam.) in Grassland and Forage Crops Division, National Institute of Animal Science, RDA, Cheonan 2015-2017. The new variety of Italian ryegrass, 'Green call 2ho' is a diploid variety with green in leaf color and has semi-erect growth habit in late autumn and erect growth habit in early spring, 'Green call 2ho' was in heading date as a early-maturing variety April 24. Also 'Green call 2ho' was narrower by 2 mm in flag leaf width, longer by 2.5 cm in flag leaf length and shorter by 3 cm in plant height than those of the control variety, 'Florida 80', respectively. 'Green call 2ho' was also thicker by 0.33 mm in stem thickness and strong in winter hardness. Dry matter (DM) yield (11,688 kg/ha) of 'Green call 2ho' was 7% higher than that of 'Florida 80'. Total digestible nutrient (TDN), crude protein (CP) and relative feed value (RFV) of 'Green call 2ho' were 61.3 %, 9.8 % and 98.2, respectively which are 2.6, 0.6, and 8.4 % higher, respectively than those of 'Florida 80', respectively. Acid detergent fiber (ADF) and neutral detergent fiber (NDF) of 'Green call 2ho' were 34.9 and 58.5 % which are 3.3 and 2.7 % lower than those of 'Florida 80', respectively.

녹비 시용이 초기 논 토양 미생물군집에 미치는 영향 (Response of Soil Microbial Communities to Applications of Green Manures in Paddy at an Early Rice-Growing Stage)

  • 논 토양에서 청보리, 자운영과 트리티케일을 시용하고 벼생육초기에 토양 미생물 생태계의 변화에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 녹비를 시용한 처리구는 관행에 비해 토양 유기물 함량은 유의적으로 증가하였으나 토양의 나트륨 함량은 유의적인 감소를 나타냈다. 내생균근균의 함량과 구성비율은 녹비 시용으로 관행 보다 유의적으로 높아졌으며 특히 청보리 처리구가 가장 높았다. 또한 토양의 그람음성 세균과 그람양성 세균의 비율과 불포화지방산과 포화지방산 함량의 비율은 청보리 처리구가 다른 처리구에 비해 유의적인 증가를 보였다. 그리고 주성분 분석에서 PC 1에 가장 큰 영향을 미친 미생물 군집은 그람음성 세균인 것으로 나타났으며 청보리 처리구는 관행과 가장 큰 차이를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과를 종합한 결과 청보리는 논 토양의 초기 미생물 다양성을 증대시킬 수 있는 최적의 녹비작물로 판단된다.

Morphology-Dependent Evolution of Galaxies in Mid-infrared Green Valley

  • We investigate the evolution of galaxies in mid-infrared (MIR) $[3.4{\mu}m]-[12{\mu}m]$ color versus $12{\mu}$ luminosity diagram using Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer data for member galaxies of the A2199 supercluster at $z{\simeq}0.03$. In the MIR color-luminosity diagram, we classify galaxies into three MIR classes: MIR blue cloud (massive, quiescent and mostly early-type), MIR star-forming sequence (mostly late-type), and MIR green valley galaxies. Both MIR green valley galaxies and MIR blue cloud galaxies are optically red sequence populations, and there is no significant difference in star formation rates and stellar masses between them. We compare cumulative distribution functions of surface galaxy number density and of cluster/group-centric distance between three MIR classes. However, when considering only early-type galaxies, the difference between MIR blue cloud galaxies and MIR green valley galaxies disappears. In contrast, the intermediate trend of MIR green valley galaxies is still found for late-type galaxies. We discuss our results concerning the difference of evolution between early- and late-type galaxies and the connection to environment.

이모작 작부체계에 적합한 극조생종 이탈리안 라이그라스 신품종 '그린팜'의 품종 특성 (A Very Early-Maturing Italian Ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum Lam.) New Variety, 'Green Farm' for Double Cropping System)

  • 본 시험은 이탈리안 라이그라스 극조생종 품종을 육성하기 위하여 2001년부터 2010년까지 국립축산과학원 초지사료과에서 수행되었다. 이탈리안 라이그라스 신품종 '그린팜'는 2배체 품종으로서 엽은 녹색이며, 월동 전 초형은 직립형이고, 봄의 초형은 반직립형이다. 또한 '그린팜'는 4월 28일경에 출수하는 극조생종 품종으로 '그린팜'은 'Florida 80' 보다 지엽폭이 0.4mm 넓고, 지엽의 길이가 0.8 cm 길었으며, 출수기에 초장은 93 cm로 'Florida 80' 보다 5 cm 정도 작았다. 줄기의 두께는 'Florida 80' 보다 0.6 mm 굵고 이삭길이는 0.3 cm 짧았으며, '그린팜'의 내한성은 'Florida 80' 보다 다소 강한 품종이었다. '그린팜'의 건물수량은 11,790 kg/ha로서 'Florida 80'과 대등하였다. '그린팜'의 사료가치는 in vitro 소화율이 68.7%, 가소화양분총량(TDN)이 63.3%로서 'Florida 80' 보다 각각 1.9, 1.7% 높았고, 산성세제불용섬유(ADF)와 중성세제불용섬유(NDF)는 32.5 및 54.6%로 'Florida 80' 보다 각각 2.2 및 4.3% 낮았다.
