This study is based on the Ecological Design Theories related with the Urban space planning. The purpose of this study is to propose the Urban Space Design Method in consideration of Ecological Environment. To achieve this purpose, Normative Theory Study which means Logical Analysis of Ecological Theories in the new field of Ecological Urban Design, is done in accordance with the object of this study. This results derived of this study are as follows: 1. Six(6)-Ecological Urban Planning Elements related with the purpose of this study, are clarified these are Land-use planning, Transformation planning, Plants and Living-thing Ecological System planning, A Culture planning related with water, Energy and resource planning, and Urban-amenity planning. 2. Urban Space Design Method in consideration of Ecological Environment is porposed by means of the Normative theroy study analysis and contents analysis related with Ecological Urban planning which contain Ecological Planning Elements.

This Study aims to find out the planning aspects and detailed techniques in terms of concept of the Ecological Industrial Parks. It consists of the three parts : Firstly, according to theoretical review, this study gives a definition of the concept of ecological industrial parks. Secondly, it institutes planning aspects of ecological industrial parks based on the main concept. Thirdly, 8 case studies show us analysis of detailed techniques used each planning aspects. Ecological industrial parks mean industrial systems which make energy and substance circulated in order to reduce environmental pollutions inside and outside of park like natural ecosystem. To actualize ecological industrial parks, we have to adopt 3 planning aspects which are energy and substance recycling system, environmentally-friendly site planning based on ecology concept, constructing of ecological production and management. In case study, detailed techniques from each planning aspects are shown in table 8. As a result of case study, detailed techniques about planning of energy and substance recycling system is accommodated most. On the other hand, environmentally-friendly site planning techniques based on ecological concept is used passively. And detailed techniques about constructing of ecological production and management are very various as each cases. Finally, in terms of analysis, this study shows us appliable planning when we develop domestic Ecological industrial parks.

This study aims to investigate and analyze the actual conditions of the ecological ponds built in the campus sites of the elementary, middle and high schools which currently manage ecological ponds in order to find problems and directions for improvement concerning the management of the ponds as a way to build nature-friendly ecological ponds which can be used as an ecological work-study site on school campus: this study also intends to provide systematic and technological directions for the management and operation of the ecological pond. This study has selected 10 schools in North Chungcheong Province, where ponds are constructed, and investigated actual conditions of the ponds based on the survey, analysis, and evaluation standards compatible with the school environments, and finally judged the general relevancy of the ponds. The results of this study make us conclude that the most important issue to be considered in the processes of selection and investigation for school ecological pond is the location of the pond.

This study measures whether people who are expected to live in the new city of Namak are environmentally and ecologically aware, and it investigates which variables are related to their willingness to move to an ecological city. This study investigated the environmental cognition of inhabitants in Chollanam Province; it focused particularly on ecologically -oriented values, environmental knowledge, environmental management behavior, and the awareness of an ecological city. For the purposes of this study, 500 inhabitants from Mokpo, Kwangju and Muan who are expected to live in a new city of Namak were surveyed. Awareness of the ecological city was at medium level; half of the respondents were not aware of an ecological city. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to estimate the effects of the variables on the awareness of the ecological city. The most significant variable was environmental knowledge. Next, experience in environmental education and homeownership affected awareness. Half of the respondents were willing to move to an ecological city. Among all of the variables, seven variables were significantly related to the willingness to move to an ecological city.

The purpose of this study is to develop design model of ecological park as stormwater storage facilities. The results are as follows : First, the design model of ecological park as stormwater storage facilities consider ecological and landscape characteristics such as high efficiency of land use, function as disaster prevention, ecological water purification, formation of habitat for flora and fauna. Second, this study demonstrates two types of plane structure and eight types of designed section. They can be combined and designed depending on conditions of each site. The facilities of stormwater storage conduct disaster prevention system and ecological park. Retention pond in stormwater storage facilities for ecological park also should be made for ecological restoration in the site. Third, the ecological park provide the basis for ecological network from in-site to out-site. Therefore its conservation and restoration plan consider the ecosystems of the site. Fourth, the most important factor for maintenance and management for retention pond is keeping water quality. Sustainable Structured wetland Biotop system is suggested for ecological water purification system in the retention pond which is one of the constructed wetland system using multi-celled aquatic plant and pond. This system can also provide habitat for animals and plants, water friendly park for men, and beautiful landscape.

This study seeks to find an approach tool that allows to consider both ecological and visual aspect in developing an ecological space. Main objective of this study is to develop a planting design method in consideration of correlation between high visual preference and ecological diversity. To this end, an integrated method based on visual design principles and landscape ecological principles was developed first. Then study areas of 20 natural areas and 10 urban areas were selected to survey and analyze visual preference and ecological diversity. The result showed that scale is an element that has the greatest impact on visual preference. In areas with high ecological diversity, scale and connectivity had the biggest impact. In order to have a planting design desirable visually and ecologically based on these factors, it may be divided into following three issues.(1) In oder to increase ecological diversity in areas with strong visual preference, a priority should be given to introduce techniques promoting harmony among dominant species of various scales and other species. At the same time, there should be efforts to secure connectivity. (2) To improve visual preferences in areas with high ecological diversity, close-range, medium-range, and distant landscapes should be ensured by aligning colors and connectivity of various scales with other factors. (3) Also, a target area should be developed into a visually preferred and ecologically sound area by supplementing form and interlocking issues and identifying the spirit of the place. This study offers a way to improve visual preference and promote ecological diversity indeveloping ecological parks for the future. In landscape planning and design, it is important to secure various scales and connectivity as high-priority principles.

The purpose of this study is to suggest an environmentally friendly energy system of ecological architecture, with the reference to foreign cases, judge feasibility of it. The ecological architecture is very similar to the natural ecosystem. There is growing international scientific consensus that human activities are having a discernible effect on the global climate. Therefore, with a precise understanding of the concept of ecological approach and concrete perception of the necessity it, an establishment of planning which recognizes the ecological architecture as a organism a same time, ensures diversity, stability and cycling stemmed from the ecosystem to various activities through a ecological structure shall bring the introduction of substantial ecological architecture into domestic realm. As a result, in this Age of industrial science, We are proposing useful materials and suggestion regarding the ecological architecture planning of korean cities, by preestimating the characteristics of a city heading toward the Age of the new ecological environment.

The purpose of this study is to suggest an environment-friendly design method of ecological architecture complex, with the reference to foreign cases. The most important thing is keep going harmoniously between preservation and development relevant with nature. In the process of ecological approaching concept, we need a method that from "architecture in a nature" to "architecture as one section of the nature" would be extended further, also the purpose of this study aims to achieve these kinds of ecological architecture. As a result of, in this Age of industrial science, we are proposing useful materials and suggestion regarding the ecological architecture planning of Korean cities, by preestimating the characteristics of a city heading toward the Age of the new ecological environment.

The nature accompanies with natural and ecological truth, worsening living environment without think using of our nature. Now, the sustainable researches to study peculiarities in ecological dwellings considered with nature and the development of human life's quality in housing itself, have been progressing. Also it is needed to show understanding about ecological dwellings in the user participant's consciousness such as, unification thought with nature, circulation thought of substance, and environment friendly thought of the traditional housing. Chose five examples which is applying ecological architectural concept by each Chungbuk, Chungnam, Jeonbuk, Gyeongbuk, Gyeonggi district and I investigated change of exterior or interior material, application of ecological system, and etc. With these background, this study will survey cases of ecological dwellings and find peculiar characteristics of ecological dwellings through researching the correlation between the concept in user's consciousness and application method.
