Determination of Economic Inventory Quantity under Probabilistic Demands and Cancellation of Orders in Production System with Two Different Production Speeds (이중생산속도를 가지는 생산시스템에서 확률적인 수요와 주문취소를 고려한 경제적 재고량 결정)

  • We consider the problem to find economic inventory quantity of a single commodity under stochastic demands and order cancellation. In contrast to the traditional economic production quantity (EPQ) model, we assume that once the amount of inventory reaches to a predetermined level of quantity then the production is not halted but its production speed decreases until the inventory level drops to zero. We establish two probabilistic models representing the behaviors of both the high-production period and low-production period, respectively, and derive the relationship between the level of inventory and costs of production, cancellation, and holding, from which the quantity of economic inventory is obtained.

  • The quality and cost of manufacturing products is a significant problem in view of duality assurance, but the quality level of the incoming materials is not considered to determine in the economic order quantity of conservative inventory model. A typical situation we face is the difference of quantity between order quantity and the determined outgoing quantity after acceptance inspection. In this paper we present a procedure to reduce the difference of order(ingoing) quantity and outgoing quantity of incoming materials a method of justifying the acceptance plans whether accept or not by comparing with ingoing outgoing quality.

  • 본 논문은 제품 공급자로부터 일정량의 덤이 제공되는 상황에서 퇴화성 제품의 경제적 주문량 결정에 대하여 연구한다. 공급자로부터 제공되는 덤의 크기는 주문량의 크기, 즉 거래단위에 따라 차별적으로 제공된다는 가정하에 최적주문 및 재고정책 결정을 위한 해법이 제시되며 예제를 통하여 덤의 크기에 따른 재고정책의 민감도를 계량적으로 분석한다.

  • The problem to determine Economic Order Quantity(EOQ) occurs when price discounts or uncharged additions are offered for the purchase in the unit of package. It is found that the annual inventory cost needs to be evaluated for at most three alternative order sizes to find EOQ, which is easier than the case of all-unit or incremental quantity discount. Numerical examples are presented.

  • 기업은 고객이 원하는 시기에 원하는 제품을 구매할 수 있도록 항상 준비가 되어 있어야 한다. 고객의 수요를 만족시키기 위하여 기업은 다양한 수요예측방법을 통하여 적절한 재고 수준과 수요예측을 하고 있다. 제조 기업의 경우에는 다른 산업에 비하여 정확한 수요예측과 낮은 재고 수준의 유지가 비용과 직접적인 연관이 있기 때문에 제조 기업은 경제적인 주문량 결정(Economic Order Quantity: EOQ)이 매우 중요한 문제이다. 주문량을 결정하는 방법에는 여러 가지가 있지만, 본 논문에서는 고객 지연을 방지하기 위하여 경제적 주문량 결정에 고객 지연과 관련된 비용을 포함시키는 것은 물론 고객 지연이라는 상황을 방지하는 노력의 한 방법으로 가격 할인(discount system)을 이용하고자 한다. 가격 할인을 이용하여 고객으로 하여금 빠른 주문을 유도하고 그로 인하여 고객 지연 상황의 발생을 줄여보려고 한다.

  • This paper the profit maximizing order quantity model to the symmetric oligopoly consisting of sellers of a homogeneous product who compete with each other for the same potential buyers. Buyers are classified by type, each selecting an optimal purchase quantity in response to the nonlinear quantity discount pricing schedule given by the sellers. Symmetric equilibrium and the economic quantities that sellers must determine are analysed in a Cournot framework, which explicitly depend on the number of sellers. Economic implications are obtianed from the optimality conditions based on themarket share paraments which are used to characterize the competitior's marketing strategy.

  • A joint economic ordering problem between supplier and customer has been formulated where a supplier has to pay the freight cost which follows the principle of economy of scale. An algorithm is given to determine order size and price simultaneously which give gains to both parties. A scenario is presented within which both parties come to a mutual agreement on the revised order size and price by utilizing quantity discount schedule.

  • This paper presents a new method, called a modified economic order quantity method, for determining the optimal inventory policy, which uses the rate of return as its decision criterion. Especially for the simplest possible inventory system with constant demand rate, no backlogging, no lead time, etc., the formula for the optimal order policy is derived. Also mentioned are the relative merits and shortcomings of this method compared to the conventional EOQ model.

  • This paper considers an Economic Order Quantity Model under random life cycle. It is assumed that the life cycle of the product is unknown; a random variable. Three cost parameters are considered; ordering cost, inventory carrying cost and salvage cost. Expected total cost is the optimization criterion. We show that the optimal cycle length is unique and finite, and present a simple line search method to find an optimal cycle length.

  • Part of material and inventory management is one of important factor for business interests. But importance of material and inventory management in domestic construction project has been relatively devalued. The existing study of inventory has been studied with limited individual factor about inventory management. Therefore construction material management needs improvement via an accurate prediction with whole and systematic process viewpoint. and existing theory of material and inventory introduction to construction from manufacturing needs reflecting characteristics about construction project. This paper suggests material management process for economic material management. This paper to make a unit curtain wall of case construction project comparison between total cost of existing material management process and total cost of economic order quantity of proposal material management process To verify usefulness of order point and order quantity determination process.
