  • Given the lack of suitable quality evaluation standards for educational serious games (designed for both entertainment and instruction), we designed a development framework for evaluation standards of educational serious games and proceeded to develop standards in accordance with our proposed procedure. Our standards were designed to evaluate the quality of both technical and non-technical elements of educational serious game software products. We conducted a survey on the need for individual elements of the standard. Participants rated the need for each element on a five-point Likert scale. We then performed a reliability analysis of the survey results. Based on the survey results, we established a final standard for quality evaluation composed of 9 main elements and 31 sub-elements. The results of our research will contribute useful information to users as well as to the developers of educational serious games.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the methods applied to educational facilities of Steven Holl's architecture, especially focusing on sensible elements in the public space. Steven Holl has realized distinct space by applying very specific and limited concept. such as perspective space, color, light and shadow, time duration and perception, haptic realm, and proportion & scale. Education facilities designed by Steven Holl, are influenced the sensible aspects of space, form, materials, patterns, and other various sensible elements. Beyond the limits of color and sculptural vocabulary, Steven Holl utilizes a variety of ways which shown in educational facilities design and is identified by the emotional phenomenology of perceptual experience. Various elements in the public space are reinforced through light and materials to make experiential space in the educational facilities. This study used a composition of space that combines various sensible elements, meanings, and senses to examine how Steven Holl's architecture can mediate and reproduce user' emotional experiences and discover the existential relationship between space and user in public space of educational facilities.

  • The purpose of the study is to propose architectural design standards of the Multi-purpose Auditorium planning in educational facilities. The success of the design is measured by how well variable elements are applied to parts of Multi-purpose Auditorium and designed and equipped so that all groups-amateurs, professionals, youth, and adult alike-may use it effectively. The use of this facility will extend over a wide range, including concerts, plays, motion pictures, forums, and other forms of presentation. The wall, stage, roof, windows, and furnitures are important parts of Multi-purpose Auditorium and variable elements can applied to these parts. To successfully application of variable elements, it is necessary that these elements are considered in planning phase including time schedule planning. Various elements are permit a more informal and flexible arrangement and extensive learning activity.

  • Since educational and fun elements coexist in an educational game, it is important to come up with standards that can elicit fun with the game as well as educational standards. Many of the existing developed educational games have received low marks in the characteristics of entertainment and game design. Thus, how to make up for their entertainment characteristics is important. This paper analyzes gaming elements of puzzle games that were released for smart phones and gained massive popularity from their users and will apply them to educational games. Such games that have gained popularity and won a commercial success include Anipang, Anipang 2, Candy Crush Saga, Farm Heroes Saga and Pokopang. This study will analyze gaming elements of these games. By analyzing the educational games, it is applied to the game elements of casual games. In addition, we have proposed a element that can enhance the immersive. Game design elements that can improve entertainment characteristics include game rules, stages and missions. Elements that can increase immersion include items, background maps and new learning environments. This paper has significance in that it analyzes entertainment characteristics, which mean the fun of games through those that have been a commercial success and applies them to educational games.

  • Under the background of the rapid development of digital educational games, we have to evidently research the elements of the achievement system of children's DEG (Digital Educational Game), and analyze the relations between the elements and make a profound study on the achievement system and its components on the impact of player's attitude. Compared with the existing research, the research contents and methods are innovative and reliable. The results show that players have a positive attitude towards the DEG achievement system, DEG achievement system has important value and role for educational games. Which is made of five elements: symbol, reward, logic, social interaction, and knowledge. The five elements interact with each other and have a positive impact on players' attitudes. DEG achievement system with five elements will bring players a positive experience. These findings provide a detailed study of the components of the achievement system. With all of these, we can explain the role and relationship of the components, and provide new ideas and empirical evidence for the design and development of children's educational game achievement system. The above findings provide a detailed description of the components of the DEG achievement system, explain the role and value of each component, and the relationships and patterns among the components, it provides a new perspective and empirical evidence for the design and development of the children's system DEG results.

  • Educational environments in rural areas have been slowly deteriorating due to the popular flow of people moving into the city from the countryside. It has been concluded that superannuated educational facilities have a negative influence towards students. This research has been conducted in order to give better mental or psychological influence to those around and comfort and relaxation to the students themselves through developing new ways to renovate the $fa\c{c}ade$ of the run down educational facility. This research develops several structural and ecological (environmental friendly) elements which are used as several segmental elements of the new $fa\c{c}ade$ design for the degraded educational facilities. A combination of these design elements can develop many viable alternatives of a new $fa\c{c}ade$ renovation. These new renovations can help students to maintain their educational and social lives in a safer and more ecological environment.
