서울메트로 접지시스템의 경년변화에 따른 개선 접지 기준 (A Study on the Unification of The Grounding System of SeoulMetro due to Ageing)

  • Since Seoulmetro built the first line of electric railway at seoul 1974, the passengers of railway have been increased rapidly, and electric railway requires more electric power for the greater capacity of transport. It is important that we prevent the accidents related with the subway, because all systems of subway are constructed in artificial underground structure. Since the previous versions of the earth system were built to meet the old standards of the electric facility for the lightning, some accidents related with the DC earth fault are causing secondary damages to the electric equipments. So, the old grounding system must be improved, and new standards of grounding system are required. We compare the grounding systems of the domestic railway corporations and the accidents that are related with the grounding systems. And we give ideas to improve the grounding systems and present standards which are suitable to electric railway.

  • Since electric railway load is variable largely due to starting and braking characteristics as well as various operation patterns, load modeling is not easy but complicated. For this reason, a simple technique for modeling of electric railway load of is required to analyze the AC substation system of electric railway. In this paper, a modeling technique of converter-based electric railway load is proposed and is tested using nonlinear loads on Matlab/Simulink.

  • The electric railway has been widely used as a transportation all over the world. It also was opened in 1973 in korea and it has been steadily proceeded in making electric railway network for a big city and building Keongbu high speed , electric railway. That's why the system of electric railway is able to solve the environmental pollution and operate the useful energy in environmental ways, it helps to increase the ability of transportation and to decrease the cost. Because of the advantage of making the economic situation better, the system of electric railway is trying to do their best in developing technique of electric railway. Because of the increasing of transportation and the high speed operation, cars with regenerative braking system was adapted. Therefore, unbalanced voltage and current of three phase system and the drop and rise of voltage of feeding circuit is expected. Now that building the substation, newly spends lots of costs and time, it is a very difficult situation to solve the problem. We can guess that electric railway line can't receive power from the power system of bigger size in building newly electric railway. In this paper, it was proved that series voltage compensator was suitable as a solution according to voltage drop and voltage fluctuating through computer simulation.

  • The efficiency and performance of electric facilities in electric railway tunnels are quite important factors for operation and maintenance of railway since most of maintenance works for railways are doing during the night. Specially, in the railways like Gyeong-Chun Line passing through many mountains, many parts of railways are constructed with tunnels. So, this paper proposes the efficient electrical installation design scheme for railway tunnel considering the system performance, economics, and the reliability of power supply to tunnel electric facilities. Finally, the proposed design scheme is implemented to the tunnel design for Gyeong-Chun Line (Electric Railway).

  • Regenerative power utilization is one of the most interesting issue in electric railway systems. Generally, technologies to utilize regenerative power from railway vehicles are railway substation with regenerative inverter, on-station energy storage systems, and on-board energy storage systems. In this paper, the electric power loss for those technologies is calculated and compared using DC electric railway system analysis algorithm.

  • Unlike conventional transmission and distribution lines, catenary system for operating electric railway vehicles are composed of multi-conductor groups (feeder line, contact wire, messenger wire, protection wire) and are used for railway employees, public or passengers in the station yards. Electric shock hazards are exposed and electric shocks such as death or serious injury are occurring in electric railway vehicles, railway high-voltage distribution lines, and catenary system. In order to analyze the types of electric shock accidents on railway by systematic approach method, we modeled 'unsafe behavior classification' method using swiss cheese model. Based on this method, we derived the type of electric shock accidents about railway accidents during the last 5 years by analyzing the frequency of occurrence of human errors and unsafe acts, laws and regulations related to violations, and so on.

  • Railway safety is based on a risk analysis and safety assessment for the whole railway system as human, train, electric, signaling, operation, maintenance and etc. Therefore in this study, after investigating the accidents happened in electric railway on Choongang line for 5 years, from '97 to '01, a Data-Base was made through a cause and result analysis. In consideration of economic loss and human resources damage, a risk assessment for electric railway was also performed.

전기철도 전철전력설비의 위험도 평가 기반 안전관리에 관한 연구 (A Risk Assessment Approach to Safety Management of Electric Railway Facilities)

  • Power supply system of electric railway has a diversity of safety problems since it should supply high electric power to the trains moving high speed with a lot of passengers on board. This paper provides a risk assessment approach to safety management of the electric railway facilities. Construction of database from field accident information, risk assessment and management of the risk are carried out systematically to ensure the safety. The risk assessment includes hazard identification, cause analysis by FTA(Fault Tree Analysis), consequence analysis by EVA(Event Tree Analysis), and loss analysis. In terms of the severity and the probability of the accidents deduced by these analyses, the risk of the accidents is assessed by using a risk matrix designed for electric railway facilities. Based on the risk assessment, possible risk mitigation options are identified and evaluated by analyzing their impact on the risk reduction and their cost benefit ratio. The long-term safety of the electric railway facilities can be ensured by renewal of the risk assessment and the risk mitigation option analysis with continuous accident database update. The proposed approach is applied to the electric railway facilities of Korean railway based on the accident data from 2002 to 2008.

  • This paper is to analysis technical characteristics occured in the eletric train power conversion device passing automatic changover system in neutral section of electric railway. Power conversion devices in electric train are classified according to the current type and voltage type. The results of this study is used to ensure the stability of electric train in neutral section of electric railway.

  • In electric railway system, potential of rail has been risen, for return-current flows through rail. The magnitude of rising voltage is different to railway feed system, ground admittance of rail and the load current. If rising voltage of rail is large, electric shock can be occurred to passengers and maintenance- worker, In this paper, we estimate the rising voltage of rail in high speed railway system and check the safety to human beings.
