전기자동차 충전전원 공급설비의 안전성 확보를 위한 기준 연구 (Study on Standard for Ensured Safety of Electric Vehicle Charger)

  • 환경오염에 대한 규제가 강화됨에 따라 친환경자동차의 개발과 보급이 활발하게 이루어지고 있기 때문에 전기에너지를 구동에너지로 사용하는 전기자동차의 보급을 위한 필수 요소인 전기자동차 충전 설비의 보급이 지속적으로 증가하고 있고 있지만, 전기자동차 충전설비의 안전성 확보를 위한 제도가 확립되어 있지 않은 상태에서 시범 보급되고 있는 현실이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 국내외 전기자동차 및 전기자동차 충전전원 공급설비관련 기준 및 표준 분석을 통하여 현재 전기설비기술기준 및 판단기준에 명시된 내용 분석을 통하여 전기자동차 충전전원 공급설비에 대한 안전성 확보를 위한 충전기, 충전케이블, 커플러 등의 시설기준에 대하여 나타내었다. 본 연구결과에 대한 활용에 따른 전기자동차 충전설비의 안전성 확보로 전 세계적인 기후변화 대응과 우리나라의 저탄소 녹색성장정책에 대응하기 위한 스마트그리드 산업의 활성화에 기여하고자 한다.

넓은 충전전압 범위를 갖는 50kW급 고효율 급속충전기 개발 (Development of 50kW High Efficiency Fast Charger with Wide Charging Voltage Range)

  • In this study, a fast charger for electric vehicle with wide charging voltage range is proposed. To achieve high efficiency, three-level topologies are employed for the AC-DC and DC-DC converters. Given that the output range of the DC-DC converter in fast chargers is quite wide, the circulating current of conventional three-level converter will increase under low voltage condition. The proposed hybrid switching method mitigates this issue. When a coupled inductor is used on the output side, the circulating current is further reduced, and the switches $S_2$, $S_3$, $S_6$, and $S_7$ achieve turning-off under the ZCS condition. Experimental results from a 50 kW prototype are provided to validate the proposed charger, and a rated efficiency of 95.9% is obtained.

  • In the case of the Back EMF voltage contains the harmonics, the motor torque ripple and vibration is occurred by the current pulsation, because IPMSM control algorithm is the model which is assumed that it contains a sinusoidal Back EMF voltage. To improve ride quality, in the case of IPMSM for EV, improving the torque control characteristics is necessary. Therefore, there is a need to minimize the influence of the harmonics. In this paper, the investigation to decrease the current distortion factor has been performed for improving torque control characteristics by applying the non-sinusoidal Back EMF to IPMSM model.

  • On account of small size and light weight, a high-speed machine is regarded as a key technology for many future applications of drive systems. In high-speed applications, permanent magnet (PM) synchronous motors have a number of merits such as high efficiency and high power density. Accordingly, they are suitable for driving the air-blower of a fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) where space and energy savings are critical. Particularly, a surface-mounted PM motor of them is mainly used as a high-speed machine. However, the motor has a fatal flaw owing to a retaining can to maintain the mechanical integrity of a rotor assembly. The can results in the increase of magnetic air-gap length in the surface-mounted PM motor. Thus, in this paper, an interior PM motor is designed in order to drive the air-blower of FCEV instead of the surface-mounted PM motor, and the experimental results of two models are compared to verify the capability of the interior PM motor for a high-speed machine.

  • This paper presents an optimal operation scheduling algorithm for a smart home with energy storage system, electric vehicle and distributed generation. The proposed algorithm provides the optimal charge and discharge schedule of the EV and the ESS. In minimizing the electricity costs of the smart home, it considers not only the cost of energy purchase from the grid but also the life cost of batteries. The life costs of batteries are calculated based on the relation between the depth of discharge and life time of battery. As the life time of battery depends on the charge and discharge pattern, optimal charge and discharge schedule should consider the life cost of batteries especially when there is more than one battery with different technical characteristics. The proposed algorithm can also be used for optimal selection of size and type of battery for a smart home.

철도차량 구조물의 확률론적 피로수명 평가 (Probabilistic Fatigue Life Evaluation of Rolling Stock Structures)

  • Rolling stock structures such as bogie frame and car body play an important role for the support of vehicle leading. In general, more than 25 years' durability is needed for them. A lot of study has been carried out for the prediction of the fatigue life of the bogie frame and car body in experimental and theoretical domains. One of the new methods is a probabilistic fatigue lift evaluation. The objective of this paper is to estimate the fatigue lift of the bogie frame of an electric car, which was developed by the Korea Railroad Research Institute (KRRI). We used two approaches. In the first approach probabilistic distribution of S-N curve and limit state function of the equivalent stress of the measured stress spectra are used. In the second approach, limit state function is also used. And load spectra measured by strain gauges are approximated by the two-parameter Weibull distribution. Other probabilistic variables are represented by log-normal and normal distributions. Finally, reliability index and structural integrity of the bogie frame are estimated.

하이브리드용 가솔린엔진의 EGR을 통한 연비향상에 관한 연구 (Study on Fuel Consumption Improvement in SI Engine with EGR for Hybrid Electric Vehicle)

  • EGR(exhaust gas recirculation) is considered as a most effective method to reduce the NOx emissions. But high EGR tolerance is always pursued not only for its advantages of the pumping loss reduction and fuel economy benefit in Gasoline-Hybrid engine. However, the occurrence of excessive cyclic variation with high EGR normally prevents substantial fuel economy improvements from being achieved in practice. Therefore, the optimum EGR rate should be carefully determined in order to achieve low fuel consumption and low exhaust emission. In this study, 2 liters gasoline engine with E-EGR system was used to investigate the effects of EGR on fuel efficiency, combustion stability, engine performance and exhaust emissions. With optimal EGR rates, the fuel consumption was improved by 4%. This improvement was achieved while a reduction in NOx emissions of 75% was accomplished. Increase of EGR gas temperature causes the charge air temperature to affect the knock phenomenon and moreover, the EGR valve lift changes for the same control signal.

자동차 정션박스의 열성능 개선을 위한 연구 (A Study of the Improvement of Thermal Performance of a Junction Box of a Passenger Car)

  • Thermal management of a junction box of a passenger car has recently become more challenging due to its smaller size and larger current capacity. Thus, it is essential to perform the thermal optimization of a junction box in its design on an early stage of vehicle design. In this study, 3 dimensional CFD simulation with experimental measurement has been done to study for better thermal management of the junction box. First, the study of thermal characteristics of electric relays in the junction box has revealed that each surface of the relay has very different thermal resistance. In addition, an idea to install a cooling fan on the junction box has been studied and it was found that the forced cooling method was not effective on the system to keep the thermal resistance to the reasonable level of the junction box. Finally, the effect of external flows around the junction box on the temperatures of the relays, fuses, etc. has been studied and the result shows that the installation of the junction box at the proper place in an engine room can avoid any unnecessary overdesign in thermal management.

  • 본 논문에서는 AMI시스템과 전기차 충전시스템 간의 발생하는 간섭을 억제하는 기법을 제안하고 분석하였다. 한전에서 진행하고 있는 AMI 시스템에 사용되는 PLC 기술인 IEC12139-1와 전기자동차 충전 시스템에 사용되는 HomePlug GP, 두 통신기술 모두 2-30Mhz 주파수 대역을 사용하는 고속 PLC 기술이다. 두 방식이 같은 주파수 대역을 사용하면서 서로의 시스템에 간섭이 발생되게 된다. 본 논문에서는 Walsh code를 이용한 채널 분리를 통하여 간섭을 억제 시키는 방식을 실험하였다. 본 논문의 실험 결과는 스마트 그리드에서 사용하는 다양한 전력선 통신기술에 적용될 수 있다.

  • A LRT(Light Rail Transit) is one of the Future Urban Railway Development Project. The project's goal is to reduce a transportation congestion in the center of the city. New transportation is intensely required in order to overcome a limit of the ground transportation that is the existing public transportation, A LRT(Light Rail Transit) construction project to be based on an unmanned driving system is the large composition system that a vehicle, a signal, communication, electric, track etc. were organically integrated as echo-friendly urban transportation systems. It also put a huge budget, which is a large-scale infrastructure projects. It is international trend that Light Rail Transit projects apply a technique in System Engineering for a schedule, cost, quality elevations, and to approach in viewpoints of life-cycle from initial construction steps to operation, abolition. This paper intends to analyze RAM requirements taking into consideration ISO/IEC 15288 throughout life-cycle from concept, design, manufacture, operation and maintenance to the final phase, decommissioning, and the study seeks to suggest directions of efficient use to domestic LRT projects.
