This paper suggests the education method of information communication ethics by harmful word filtering on web boards as a way to solve the malfunctioning problem occurring in making informations at the step of their positive activities of information offers. The harmful word filtering system for the education of information communication ethics describes the method to construct a harmful word dictionary by extracting harmful words related with improper doing of writing, sexual insult, abusive language and expressions of criticizing others shown in web boards. Decrease by more than 90% in writing with harmful words and inappropriate writing was shown as the result of application of the harmful word filtering system on school home pages.

As mobile devices have rapidly spread to consumers, services with location information have been developed. The service that they provide related information by positioning automatically is referred to as 'Location-Based Service'. This paper suggests the ways that users instruct the students proper ethics in advance, after saving their moving course and offensive businesses in database, with 'Location-Based Service', by positioning their movements, especially the degree of breaking away from their course and the cases of their access to an offensive business and their stay in crime-prone areas, and comparing them to those in the database.

Although artificial intelligence(AI) is a key technology in the digital transformation among the emerging technologies, there are concerns about the use of AI, so many countries have been trying to set up a proper regulation system. This study analyzes the cases of the regulation policies on AI in USA, EU and Korea with the aim to set up and improve proper AI policies and strategies in Korea. In USA, the establishment of the code of ethics for the use of AI is led by private sector. On the other side, Europe is strengthening competitiveness in the AI industry by consolidating regulations that are dispersed by EU members. Korea has also prepared and promoted policies for AI ethics, copyright and privacy protection at the national level and trying to change to a negative regulation system and improve regulations to close the gap between the leading countries and Korea in AI. Moreover, this study analyzed the course of policy changes of AI regulation policy centered on ACF(Advocacy Coalition Framework) model of Sabatier. Through this study, it proposes hyper-scale AI regulation policy recommendations for improving competitiveness and commercialization in Korea. This study is significant in that it can contribute to increasing the predictability of policy makers who have difficulties due to uncertainty and ambiguity in establishing regulatory policies caused by the emergence of hyper-scale artificial intelligence.

Information society, introduced by the rapid progress of computer technology and communication technology, has brought us the comfort and prosperity on every aspect of human life. However, the adverse and harmful effects of it, including the ethics problems, turn out to be serious. Concerning these problems, purpose of this study is set to investigate the actual state of ethics awareness on information and communication, since ethics awareness is required more urgently than ever in this era of technology. While adolescents, who will lead the future society, comprise the majority of internet usage population in our nation, they are exposed to the harmful and risky contents in the periods during which their world view would be established. Furthermore, the problems emerging in the progress towards information-oriented society are jeopardizing the dignity and inherent value of human being, therefore causing the serious moral chaos and social problems. In this paper, the awareness level of middle school students in Gwangju City has been investigated especially in the aspect of information and communication. Based on the results, it is revealed that the efforts of government, social organization, students' parents as well as the education circles are essential. Also the proposal for improvement on the awareness level has been presented.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been growing interests in metaverse technology and social use of virtual reality platforms in non-face-to-face environments, but social issues and ethical concerns raised by metaverse have not been sufficiently discussed. In this paper, we discuss the social functions of the metaverse by examining the movie 'Ready Player One', and investigate the ethical problems that may arise in various implementation of metaverse. We identify the potential ethical problems that could occur in the context of metaverse including identity fragmentation, metaverse violence and crime, and mismanagement of personal information. We also propose some promising approaches to tackle these ethical problems ranging over descriptive ethics, normative ethics, and analytical (meta) ethics.

The purpose of this study is to develop and validate a scale to measure the ethical awareness of users who accept artificial intelligence technology or service. To this end, the constructs and properties of AI ethics were identified through literature analysis on AI ethics. Reliability and validity were assessed through a preliminary survey(N=273), after conducting an open-type survey to men and women(N=133) in 10s to 70s nationwide, extracting the first questions, and reviewing them by experts. The results of an online survey conducted on men and women(N=500) were refined by confirmatory factor analysis. Finally, an AI technology ethics scale was developed. The AI technology ethics awareness scale was developed with 16 questions in total of 4 factors (transparency, safety, fairness, accountability) so that general awareness of ethics related to AI technology can be measured by detailed factors. In addition, through follow-up research, it will be possible to reveal the relationship with measurement variables in various fields by using the ethical awareness scale of artificial intelligence technology.

Complex ethical issues of Emergency Medical Techinician (EMT) out-of hospital emergency medical scene and the ER (Emergency Room) behaviors were studied. The survey was conducted by 500 EMT group members working in the field of ambulance work and general hospital and it was about their work ethics, discussions and solutions about the transferred patients, and ethics regarding Do Not Attempt Resuscitate (DNAR). The survey includes work ethics, awareness about the target job, a discussion on the transfer of patients, measures, and deathbed. Discussions about the patient's condition and diagnosis results were majorly absent during patient transportation at the emergency care scene. More than 90% of emergency care transfer were inappropriate. Sometimes, EMT working in the field facing morally unethical problems beyond their responsibility. When EMT, who can not make death diagnosis, received deathbed related DNAR issues, they gone through severe ethical conflicts. The institutional support and therapy for EMT was weak. In Korea, especially in the accident site, ethical issues education is more needed than DNAR prevalence of education and guidance. If ethics training and guidance are given to EMT, a lot of moral errors in the field can be resolved.

This paper deals with nanoethics as a sort of extension of engineering ethics utilizing various books, articles, and reports concerning historical, social, and ethical aspects of nanotechnology. After a brief examination on the place and development process of nanotechnology, ethical issues on nanotechnology are analysed including safety problem, impact on environment, violating privacy, social inequity, military use, and human enhancement. The basic principles on nanoethics are proposed such as promotion of public understanding, construction of participatory governance, contribution to sustainable development, commitment to precautionary principle, and compliance with research integrity. Lastly, integrated method in nanoethics education is illustrated putting lecture model, investigation model and discussion model together. This paper can provide the contents available for nanoethics education, and make a basis for the sound development of nanotechnology.

This study analyzed and compared the curriculum of 12 arbitrarily selected Colleges of Engineering for their professional general education. Since the Korean Accreditation of Engineering Education has existed for the last 10 years a growing need for improvements was identified and thus this study shall provide a basis for future curriculum developments of the professional general education. For this purpose the educational objectives, the syllabus, the self-assessment reports and catalogues of the 12 Colleges were reviewed and the relevance between the educational objectives of each engineering school and the learning outcomes in the professional general education were analyzed. Furthermore, by analyzing the area of subject that each College of Engineering's mechanical engineering program's professional general education focuses on, the current trend can be examined. Finally, the credit requirements and their allocation and the distribution of the professional general education over the semesters were analyzed. The results of this study were as followed; these capabilities such as creativity, professionalism, globalization, ethics, humanism, design ability, management ability, responsibility and communication are suggested as educational objectives of 12 engineering schools. But courses related to globalization, ethics & responsibility and communication skills were much more often taught. Not only do the allocated credits for the courses of professional general education differ from university to university but the distribution over the semesters vary as well.

오늘날 인터넷은 모든 분야에서 활용되고 있다. 그러나 일상생활의 일부분이 된 인터넷 상에서 인터넷 윤리의식은 부족한 상태에 놓여있다. 특히 성장기에 있는 청소년들 사이에서 익명성이 보장되는 점을 악용하여, 악플이나 무분별한 욕의 사용 등 사이버 폭력으로 이어져 여러 사회 문제가 발생하고 있다. 이러한 문제점들을 예방하기 위해 많은 홍보와 공익광고 등이 진행되고 있으나, 그 기대 효과는 미흡한 실정이다. 본 논문은 청소년들이 많이 이용하는 fps온라인 게임에 적용할 언어 변환 프로세스를 제안한다. 제안된 언어 변환 프로세스를 적용하면 악플이나 무분별한 욕의 사용으로 인한 사이버 폭력이 줄어들 것으로 예상된다.
