The acceptance of enterprise resource planning (ERP) system in the industries is essential to enhance the enterprise-wide productivity and global competitiveness. In this study, we first describe the needs for the ERP system and the structural backgrounds of the system. Then we suggest our strategies for the implementation of the standard ERP system under the small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

This preliminary study held in two Indonesian state-owned enterprises (SOEs) showed empirical evidence that top management commitment was perceived to be the most important critical factor contributing to enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation success, compared to top management support and top management involvement. Therefore, top management and middle management must continually show commitment during the ERP implementation process. This finding could serve as a reference for further study in a larger number of Indonesian SOEs.

The successful implementation of various Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems has provoked considerable interest in this subject over the last few years. The senior management, especially in large corporations have been attracted to look at new information technology and how to leverage it for corporate survival and to gain competitive advantage in volatile business environment. Although there is no shortage of positive reports on the success of ERP installations, many companies have invested millions of dollars in this direction with little to show for its success. Since many of the ERP failures today can be attributed to inadequate planning and poor execution in the implementation and closure of projects. The aim of this article is to offer some solutions to avert potential pitfalls in ERP implementation.

Many enterprises have implemented packaged enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions rather than system development on the promises of feasible strategic benefits. Typical feasible benefits include adoption of global standards and processes through a proven integrated system, continuous version upgrading by vendors, and thus the easiness of system maintenance. The objectives of this research are to identify what makes a post-implementation success of ERP system and to figure out the critical issues and factors for the successful upgrade of packaged ERP systems. This case study was conducted based on five different organizations that have experienced system upgrade implementation. Success factors of ERP system upgrade include (1) clear statement of upgrade goals, (2) good coordination and communication among the implementation partners, (3) thorough management of customization and maintenance history including documentation, (4) Planning of system requirements of higher version, and (5) redefinition of role between business departments and IT department.

ERP can support the company's business process. A repository, which can story and retrieve enterprise-wide information, is a key component of such software package. This paper implements an enterprise repository for the ERP. A wellknown repository standard, IRDS (Information Resource Dictionary System), is employed for the repository architecture. A meta schema that can help develop database, business applications, models, and workflow is proposed. To illustrate the practical usefulness, a real-life ERP prototype is built within the framework of the proposed repository.

This paper reports on a contingency framework for selecting the most appropriate strategy to implement the enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) system in an organization. The two dimensions of our framework are information technology level and culture level of organization. For each of the four contingencies, we recommend a desirable implementation strategy, based on scope and pace of the implementation effort. ERP implementation data from ten organizations were analyzed to validate the proposed framework.

기업의 정보가 방대해지고 이러한 정보에 대한 효율적이 관리의 필요성에 의해 현재 제조업, 유통서비스업, 금융업등 일반기업은 물론 공공기관에서도 ERP의 도입은 경영에 있어서 피할 수 없는 꼭 필요한 것이 되어지고 있다. 하지만, 소규모 중소기업은 초기도입비용, 업무 프로세스의 재설계에 따른 업무 부담, 전산능력 보유자의 미비등의 문제로 ERP 도입의 필요성은 인식 하지만, 도입은 결정을 쉽게 내리지 못하고 있는 상황이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 소규모 중소기업의 ERP 보급확산을 위한 SERP(Small Enterprise Resource Planning)를 제안한다.

본 논문에서는 영어 학원을 대상으로 ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) 시스템을 적용, 웹(Web)상에서 학원교사와 관리자가 학생 개개인의 프로필, 성적, 출결, 상담 등의 학생관리 업무와 학원비 관련 회계를 동시에 처리 및 관리해 주는 웹 어플리케이션이다. 기존의 사용하기 복잡한 학원관리프로그램을 지양하며, 웹 사이트와 같은 메뉴와 페이지 단위 구성으로 누구에게나 친숙한 UI(User Interface)를 제공한다.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is one of key information technology to shape doing business. ERP adoption characteristics like IS planning and change management before ERP implementation are rising in importance, because of gaining competitive advantage. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of the characteristics of ERP adoption on ERP implementation success. From previous researches on ERP adoption and implementation, two characteristics of ERP adoption such as IS planning and change management, and 2 dependent variables such as process innovation and business performance, are identified. From data collection processes, 122 samples are collected. The results of hypothesis testing show that organizations with IS plan have higher implementation performance than organizations without IS plan. Also, organizations with the process of change management have higher implementation performance than organizations without the process of change management. Also, The interaction effect between IS planning and change management shows bigger impact in ERP implementation success.
