  • This study thus set out to empirically analyze connections between the success factors of marketing and management performance in the silver industry. For that purpose, the investigator analyzed relations between independent variables, which include such success factors of marketing as market segmentation, product mix, customer relational management, brand asset, price strategy, and marketing information system, and dependent ones, which include financial and non-financial management performance. Those results partially support the hypothesis that the six success factors of marketing set in the study have effects on financial and non-financial management performance in the silver industry. Customer relational management had the biggest influence, being followed by brand asset and price strategy in the order. Those results indicate that companies need to consider customer relational management, brand asset, and price strategy before other success factors of marketing to achieve financial and non-financial management performance in the silver industry.

  • Responses from the information users on the information technology are very important considerations when majority of the companies are going to introduce information technology by way of computers. When new information technology is introduced, resistance from the information users are likely to be happen and if suitable management about this is not carried out, resistance from the users of information technology will be continued. It is needed for the companies to minimize user's resistance about the information technology to reduce the introduction cost of information technology and to elevate the degree of use. To reduce the resistance from the users about information technology, factors which affect the resistance of users should be analyzed first and it will be effective to control those factors later on. Therefore it will be meaningful for the successful management of information technology if several factors which affect the resistance of users about information technology are searched out and managed. The purpose of this study is to find various factors which affect the resistance of the individuals in the organization about information technology in the process of introducing information technology. The relationship between the factors and factors which affect indirectly to the information technology are the things which are supposed to be considered to the companies who are going to introduce information technology in the long run. Instead of decreasing the resistance directly, let individuals in the organization decreases the resistance by themselves is a more effective way and may have less side effects, in terms of controlling the members in the organization.

And there are businesses that obtained innovative business performance by introducing SCM information systems. However, many businesses have still undergone trial and error in the process to introduce and operate SCM. As external factors including suppliers, customers, etc. and internal factors of businesses have been analyzed to be failure factors of executing SCM information systems, the businesses that try to introduce SCM information systems need to understand possible failure factors and establish the solutions. Therefore, this study tries to verify the diffusion of SCM information systems and effects on bullwhip effects. The study is expected to suggest empirical data that people will refer to the establishment of next counterstrategies according to the lapse of the period that systems are introduced based on theoretical bases related to the diffusion of SCM information systems.

  • The Zimbabwean healthcare sector faces huge challenges due to increased demands for improved services for a growing number of patients with fewer resources. The use of information and communications technologies, prevalent in many industries, but lacking in Zimbabwean healthcare, could increase productivity and innovation. The adoption of health management information systems (HMISs) can lead to improved patient safety and high-level patient care. These technologies can change delivery methods to be more patient focused by utilising integrated models and allowing for a continuum of care across healthcare providers. However, implementation of these technologies in the health care sector remains low. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the advantages to be attained by using HMISs in healthcare delivery and to ascertain the factors that influence the uptake of such systems in the public healthcare sector. A conceptual model, extending the technology, organization, and environment framework by means of other adoption models, underpins the study of adoption behavior. A mixed method methodology was used to conduct the study. For the quantitative approach, questionnaires were used to allow for regression analysis. For the qualitative approach, thematic analysis was used to analyse interview data. The results showed that the critical success factors (namely, relative advantage, availability, complexity, compatibility, trialability, observability, management support, information and communication technology expertise, communication processes, government regulation, infrastructure support, organizational readiness, industry and competitive support, external support, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude, and intention to use) influenced adoption of HMISs in public hospitals in Zimbabwe.
