  • In order to understand phenomenon of the electric railway power feeding system in the construction planning step, analysis of the overall system including electric characteristic of electric railway power feeding system, train running characteristic and power consumption pattern and train operation plan and gradients of railroad and curve radius is required. This paper study the feeder system by analysis of comprehensive system according to train operation plans, line impedance, running characteristic of train, electrical properties of the feeder system. In order to understand phenomenon to the feeder system of tram exactly regarding export of the field railroad preceeding actively recently.

  • The purpose of this study is to develope a linear feeder for uniform transportation of grains and to present its design guide line. so, It is measured the displacement of the front and rear aspect of the feeder in time domain. And the measured time signal is represented to the plane coordinate. From this process, it is presented the motion of the feeder in a harmonic excited condition. Also, It is determined whether translation motion or rotation motion. From these course, it is defined the optimized dynamic motion for uniform transportation of grains. It is included a ratio of the displacement and the angle which the dynamic motion between the front and rear aspect of the feeder.

  • This paper described the development of equalizing spacer for minimization of voltage drop according to DC feeder extension. Power consumption is increased as shorter interval of train driving time and transportation capacity increase in urban subway. Therefore we investigated voltage drop of catenary at a point in case of traction driving of a train in parallel to the DC power supply system. Based on it's result, equalizing spacer is designed and fabrication to minimize the voltage drop in accordance with the power supply line arranged in three rows, and then its performance was confirmed that the stress distribution of main body and the distributed load are satisfied through the body structure modeling.

  • In this paper, we perform a modeling for the AT Feeder system in AC electric railway and we utilize the power EMTDC program to implement about AT feeder system modeling. In addition, we study the impedance characteristics of the AT feeder system and calculated fault current and impedance according to the distance due to fault accident. Based on it's result, fault current are compared between calculating the value and simulation value in EMTDC modeling. Impedance of power system is Largest at the middle point of the system and is smallest near autotransformer, and then showed that the fault current is inversely proportional to impedance characteristics.

  • Bus, Which is together with subway the main part of public transportation modes in the city, is reviewed for the development of an optimal feeder-bus service area. Based on the IDRISI of GIS package, and taking into account of the convenience of downtown-oriented public transportation users at peak time, a model for the development of feeder-bus service area and a solution and introduced. Major result in this study is as follows: Development is given to a model that is designed to overcome the shortage of the existing models, which has limits in simulating the real situation; Variables were used in combination so that bus and subway route, station spacing, and operating frequency can be determined simultaneously, which enables to elucidate the mutual relationship and the structure in public transportation system. A model for feeder-bus area development is also given applied to determination and opening of subway and urban express bus route and new transportation systems. The model developed in this paper is useful in the case of extension and opening of subway and urban express bus route and new transportation Systems.

A Study on DC Offset Removal using Low-Pass Filter in AT Feeder System for Electric Railway (전기철도 AT급전계통에 Low-Pass Filter를 이용한 직류옵셋 제거에 관한 연구)

  • The cause of failure in the AT feeding system is divided into grounding, short-circuit of feeding circuit and internal faults of the railway substation. Since the fault current is very high, real-time current is detected and the failure must be immediately removed. In this paper, a new DC offset elimination filter that can remove component to decrease in the form of exponential function using low-pass filter was proposed in order to extract the fundamental wave from distorted fault current. In order to confirm the performance of the proposed filter method, AT feeder system was modelled by simulation tool and simulations were performed under various conditions such as fault location, fault resistance and fault voltage phase angle in case of trolley-rail short-circuit fault. When applying the proposed DC-offset removal method, it can be seen that the phase delay and gain error did not appear.

  • In order to investigate the voltage drop compensation effect of AT for domestic railway vehicle base, the parameters of AT voltage drop of railroad car base are Z3 (Impedance of feeder line), Xn ( Distance from railroad vehicle to AT to SS), and Dn (distance between both ATs of railway vehicle).In addition, when installed in a SSP for a railway vehicle base, there is no AT and feeder line in the railway vehicle base except for the SSP for the main line and the SSP for the railway vehicle base, so that if zero or ignored, the AC single-phase two- It can be confirmed that it becomes a form.

An Empirical study on improvement of operation for feeder vessel route between Busan and west coast of Japan

  • In this paper, practical problems for current feeder service between Busan port and west coast of Japan were extracted through in depth interviews with Japanese feeder vessel companies, shippers, and port authority based upon which major criteria (elements) for improvement of the feeder network are structured in hierarchic order and weighed relative importance through AHP method. From the questionnaire answered by Korean and Japanese port users and experts the weights of criteria were calculated and the shipping service was ranked the first by both parties with 0.235 and 0.217, respectively. The port service and support system ranked the second and the third, whereas the port marketing was shown to be the lowest of all. Considering the overall weights, the increase in a port loading and unloading speed of port service was followed by provision of dedicated deck for feeder vessel of port facilities for Korean respondents. Therefore, speed up of the port operations and providing docks for feeder vessel are to be firstly provided for more efficient feeder operations, which would be the basis for the construction of optimal transportation network.

  • The bus should supply an equal service to the whole community as feeder trip. However the existing bus route can not supply an effective feeder service in spite of the changes in the latent demand by the variety of regional structural change. This study aimed to establish the concept which frames the bus operation and management to cope with the latent demand to the bus. This study tackled this evidence by analyzing the transportation problems in terms of the urban growth emphasizing the following issues ; First, the strategy to improve the bus operation Second the land use control appropriate for the public transportation network Third economical range to justify the bus operation Second, the land use control appropriate for the public transportation network Third, economical range to justify the bus operation Fourth, the allowance for the private transportation mode On the latter part, the difference on the bus operation was compared to determine the range within which the bus operation could be justified. This study would provide some implications to improve the management for bus operation and fundamental information to develop the bus operation system.

  • The screw-feeders are used at gathering the minerals at the seafloor, transportation of the sewage, and at the beverage industry. This study was carried out to study solid-liquid mixture hydraulic transport of solid particles in a horizontal and inclined screw-feeders with rotating. This study is about the amount of the alteration amount of the material transportation for regular transportation. In this study a clear acrylic pipe was used in order to observe the movement of solid particles. Relates to the angle, rpm and ratio of pitch ; finding the optimum condition and knowing about designing the screw feeders shape. As a result, we found the suitable rpm and a suitable angle. According to the experiment, the best rpm and angle are 100-200rpm and $10^{\circ}$, respectively.
