Fingerprinting Bayesian Algorithm for Indoor Location Determination (실내 측위 결정을 위한 Fingerprinting Bayesian 알고리즘)

  • For the indoor positioning, wireless fingerprinting is most favorable because fingerprinting is most accurate among the technique for wireless network based indoor positioning which does not require any special equipments dedicated for positioning. The deployment of a fingerprinting method consists of off-line phase and on-line phase and more efficient and accurate methods have been studied. This paper proposes a bayesian algorithm for wireless fingerprinting and indoor location determination using fuzzy clustering with bayesian learning as a statistical learning theory.

  • In urban areas, GPS(Global Positioning System)/GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System) signals are blocked or distorted by structures such as buildings, which limits positioning. To compensate for this problem, in this paper, fingerprinting-based positioning using RSRP(: Reference Signal Received Power) information of LTE signals is performed. The W-KNN(Weighted - K Nearest Neighbors) technique, which is widely used in the positioning step of fingerprinting, yields different positioning performance results depending on the similarity distance calculation method and weighting method used in correlation. In this paper, the performance of the fingerprinting positioning according to the techniques used in correlation is comparatively analyzed experimentally.

Parallel Rabin Fingerprinting on GPGPU for Efficient Data Deduplication (효율적인 데이터 중복제거를 위한 GPGPU 병렬 라빈 핑거프린팅)

  • Rabin fingerprinting used for chunking requires the largest amount computation time in data deduplication, In this paper, therefore, we proposed parallel Rabin fingerprinting on GPGPU for efficient data deduplication. In addition, for efficient parallelism in Rabin fingerprinting, four issues are considered. Firstly, when dividing input data stream into data sections, we consider the data located near the boundaries between data sections to calculate Rabin fingerprint continuously. Secondly, we consider exploiting the characteristics of Rabin fingerprinting for efficient operation. Thirdly, we consider the chunk boundaries which can be changed compared to sequential Rabin fingerprinting when adapting parallel Rabin fingerprinting. Finally, we consider optimizing GPGPU memory access. Parallel Rabin fingerprinting on GPGPU shows 16 times and 5.3 times better performance compared to sequential Rabin fingerprinting on CPU and compared to parallel Rabin fingerprinting on CPU, respectively. These throughput improvement of Rabin fingerprinting can lead to total performance improvement of data deduplication.

Design of Digital Fingerprinting Scheme for Multi-purchase

  • In this paper, we are concerned with a digital fingerprinting scheme for multi-purchase where a buyer wants to buy more than a digital content. If we apply previous schemes to multi-purchase protocol, the number of execution of registration step and decryption key should be increased in proportion to that of digital contents to be purchased in order to keep unlinkability. More worse, most of fingerprinting schemes in the literature are based on either secure multi-party computation or general zero-knowledge proofs with very high computational complexity. These high complexities complicate materialization of fingerprinting protocol more and more. In this paper, we propose a multi-purchase fingerprinting scheme with lower computational complexity. In the proposed scheme, a buyer executes just one-time registration step regardless of the number of contents to be purchased. The number of decryption key is constant and independent of the number of contents to be purchased. We can also reduce the computational costs of buyers by introducing a concept of proxy-based fingerprinting protocol.

  • 본 논문에서는 대역확산방식을 응용한 새로운 워터마킹 방법에 대해서 설명하고, 이를 이용하여 semi-fingerprinting을 구현할 수 있는 데이터 구조에 대해서 기술하였다. 본 논문은 저작권 보호에 주초점이 맞추어져 있는 워터마크 기술을 실질적으로 필요한 fingerprinting분야에 적용함으로써, 그 동안 학문연구에 그치고 있었던 워터마크 기술을 산업적 응용에까지 확대시키는데 큰 기여를 할 것으로 기대된다. 본 논문에서 제안한 워터마킹 방법은 난수이동(random number shift)방법을 이용하여 데이터 삽입량을 증가시켰다. 또한, semi-fingerprinting에 적용하기 위해 일본 내에서 진행중인 cIDf의 지침에 기반 하여 워터마크를 구성하였다.

  • Recently, DNA fingerprinting has been utilized as the most powerful tool for genetic analysis and improvement of poultry. This technique enables us to solve several problems of poultry breeding ; traits of low heritability, difficulty in keeping the performance records, measuring in late of life, and sex limited traits. Application of DNA fingerprinting is chiefly focused to individual and population identification, evolution force, quantitative trait marker, introgression of new gene, and prediction of heterosis. Thus, research work on DNA fingerprinting will he accelerated to analyze genetic components exactly and improve the performance of poultry.

  • Recently, IPS(Indoor Positioning System) Technology has been progressing study and research, It has been studied in the fingerprinting and trilateration continuously. however because Fingerprinting and Trilateration Technology use AP(Access Point) for Positioning Calculation, Fingerprinting and Trilateration are not never had a credit positioning accuracy by using unstable RSSI in large scale. in this paper, to improve the problem about precise positioning in wide area, we introduced a concept of Sector including Cell. Sectors are not involved in each other and only fingerprinting calculation is proceed in a sector. we suggest this fingerprinting system considering efficiency and accuracy and compared to conventional fingerprinting, we demonstrated our system efficiency by mathematical techniques.

  • In this paper, we propose a new watermarking method based on spread spectrum and a semi-fingerprinting system architecture that can be built using our robust watermarking method. Especially, we describe a method that extends the application area of watermarking technology to more practical application domains by applying the watermarking technology that has been focused mainly on copyright protection to fingerprinting area. Our proposed watermarking scheme uses the method that inserts more data by using random number shifting method. We improved the reliability of acquired data with 20-bits CRC code and 60-bits inserted information. In addition, we designed the system architecture based on the recommendation of cIDf (content ID forum) in order to apply the system on the semi-fingerprinting area.

  • Fingerprinting technique exists at the position assumption system for the service of indoor location-based. However, there is a problem it takes a long time to build fingerprinting map. We need to verify that received signal of WAP(wireless access point) is similar at all times in a similar space in order to solve these problems. This paper proposes a plan that is able to build fingerprinting map by using the received signal data of WAP. To do this, change the positon of WAP in the same space, It is confirmed the process of change of the RSSI corresponding to the distance. We also confirmed that the RSSI collected from elsewhere in the space a similar change in the same manner.
