A Study on Factors Affecting Fire Prevention (화재예방에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to empirically verify the factors affecting fire prevention, which is a dependent variable, by establishing a safety culture related to fire prevention, fire prevention education, fire prevention equipment, fire safety knowledge, and fire safety practices as independent variables. The results obtained from the multiple regression analysis were derived as follows in relation to fire prevention. The fire prevention education was found to have the most statistically significant effect on fire prevention, and the fire prevention facility was found to have a statistically significant effect on fire prevention. In addition, fire safety practice was found to have a statistically significant effect on fire prevention.

  • Fire protection management system has been introduced to prevent structure fire since establishment of Fire Prevention Act. Nevertheless, Damage by fires is continue. The main purpose of this study is to discuss approaches to improve fire protection management system into the fire prevention properties. Now fire protection management system has lots of the problems in managerial and systematical aspects. To improve these a unified fire protection management system must be establish by suggests revision of a unified Fire Prevention Act and foundation of Fire Prevention Institution, reform educational system for the fire safety directors would be essential to includes environment improvement, enhancement of certification requirements and education, a standardized computational management system of the fire protection properties must be build for efficient fire protection operations.

  • This study covers securing legal systems and institutions regarding the standards for installing fire prevention facilities to prevent fire on wooden architectural heritage. Conflicts among relevant laws were revealed and problems related to fire prevention performance, technical standards, responsibilities, etc. in the process of establishing legal fire prevention equipment and the equipment for self-extinguishing were identified through pondering over current legal systems of fire prevention facilities. To resolve the problems, at least the principle to preserve original shapes of wooden architectural heritage should be secured even though fire prevention facilities are installed and the installation process should be regulated by laws considering features of fire on wooden architectural heritage so that fire prevention performance can be guaranteed. The directions to improve installing system through legalization of design, construction, and audit review institutions and legalization of the technical standards for fire prevention facilities were suggested to guarantee performance when establishing fire prevention facilities for wooden architectural heritage.

  • This paper's purpose is three-folded: modeling the self-regulating fire prevention system, developing a packet of practical fire prevention measures and regulations, and reviewing the applicability of fire insurance system in Korea as a main components of the self-regulating fore prevention system. The so called self-regulating fire prevention system is defined as a grand national fire prevention framework based on and promoted by the vitality and creativeness of the market (or private sector). This drastically contrasts with the existing government-led fire prevention system in Korea. The self-regulating fire prevention system has three grounds: the principle of self-responsibility, the redefinition of the fire service as a public goods, and the principle of self-selection. It seems natural that the self-regulating fire prevention system requires the function of fire insurance institution as a pivoting mechanism providing individual decision makers with a system of incentives, resulting in rational behaviors in the part of each individuals and in the well-balanced fire prevention network in the part of the overall public. In this regard, this pilfer examines the institutions and performance of the fire insurance industry in Korea and reviews the limitation of the industry as an instant replacement mechanism of the current government-led fire prevention system in Korea.

  • 최근 산불과 같은 불티로 인한 2차화재의 발생 비율이 높아지고 있는 추세이다. 그러나 이를 불티로 인한 화재 성상을 CFD로 해석하기 위해서는 불티에 가해지는 유체력을 평가하여야 연소모델을 적용할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기존 풍속에 의한 불티 확산실험의 결과를 토대로 FDS에 적용 할 수 있는 연소모델을 구축하고 위하여 수리 모델 및 수치 해법에 대해 정리하고 이를 FDS 연소모델에 적용을 실시하였다.

  • 지하 주차장에서 차량사고에 의해 차량화재가 발생하는 것을 고려하여 대규모 연소실험을 실시하였다. 연소 실험결과 실험체 Car1, Car2 의 최대 발열량은 5.4MW가 측정 되었으며, 최고온도는 Car1에서 $1206^{\circ}C$와 Car2에서 최고 온도 $1113^{\circ}C$가 측정 되었다.

  • 2005년 4월 강원도 산불로 인해 낙산사 화재가 발생하여 많은 문화재의 손실이 발생하여 문화재에 대한 소중함과 경각심을 일깨워 주었으며 화재로 인해 발생하는 문화재 손실을 막기 위해 많은 노력이 요구되었다. 본 연구는 강원도 중요 목조문화재인 낙산사 화재 발생 후 6년이 지난 현 지점에서, 주민 방재의식조사를 통해 낙산사 주변지역의 방재의식 변화에 대해 알아보고 이를 바탕으로 문화재 방재대책을 제안하고자 한다.
