Development of A Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy System (분할 정위방사선 치료 시스템 개발 연구)

  • We invented the newly developed Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy(F.S.R.T) system using combined techniques of couch mounting and pedestal mounting system. Head fixation frame consists of a milled alluminium alloy(duralumin) and is placed to the couch. This frame immobilized patient head using the dental bite, 3.2 mm frontal and occipital thermoplastic mask. To evaluate the coordinate of target isocenter, Brown-Revert-Walls C.T localizer can be attached to this frame. And also, we developed the frame mounting system by developing the modification of pedestal mounting system. This system is fixed to couch floor and can be used to evaluate the isocenteric accuracy of gantry, couch and collimator in Q.A procedure. In order to measure the relocation accuracy, the acrylic phantom and the accurate pointers have been made. The repositioning of the targets in the phantom were estimated by comparing C.T coordinates and E.C.L portal films taken with anterior-posterior and right-left direction. From the results of experiments, the average distance errors between the target isocenter and its mean position were 0.71$\pm$0.19 for lateral, 0.45$\pm$0.15 for inferior-superior, 0.63$\pm$0.18 for anterior-posterior. And the maximum distance error was less than 1.3 mm. The new head fixation frame and frame mounting system were non-invasive, accurately relocatable, easy to use, very light and well tolerable by the results of phantom tests. The major advantage of using this frame mounting system is complete access to any point in the Patients cranium especially posterior direction

  • Firstly, FEM model for the body frame of a fuel cell vehicle was built up and design optimization results based on different schemes were exhibited. One scheme was to minimize weight while maintaining the normal mode frequencies and the other was to increase the frequencies without weight change. Next, for a rear frame model, shape parameter study on collapse characteristics such as peak resistance load and absorbed energy was carried out. Also, the stiffness of frame mounting brackets was predicted using inertance calculation and the durability of those mounting brackets for vehicle system loads was evaluated. Finally, for a representative mounting model, the influence on durability due to thickness change was analyzed.

  • NHC means that the velocity of the vehicle in the plane perpendicular to the forward direction is almost zero. The main error source of NHC is the mounting misalignment which is the difference between the body frame of a land vehicle and the sensor frame of an inertial measurement unit. This paper suggests new NHC algorithm that can reduce position errors by real-time estimation of mounting misalignment. Then NHC/ZUPT integrated land navigation system is designed and its performances are analyzed by simulations with van test data. Simulation results show that the proposed NHC/ZUPT land navigation system improves navigation accuracy regardless of misalignment angle and is very useful when SDINS operates stand-alone for land vehicle navigation with large mounting misalignment.

  • Disinfection of the rotatory cocooning frame is difficult under a multiple rearing system as the work is successively done. Accordingly, to investigate the effect of formalin fumigation on the rotatory cocooning frame during mounting period the mulberry leaves smeared with the water extract of dust collected form cocoonin frame after treatement were fed on the just molted 3rd instar larvae, 82% of them died with disease during 6 days, and negative effect of formalin fumigation takes place in terms of the cocoon reelability, showing 41% of it.

  • In this study, the design concept of engine for 4WD vehicle is established by the experimental modal analysis. First, the relationships between frame and power transmission system are considered. Second, the effect of additional system (Front propeller shaft and Exhaust system) on the power transmission system is evaluated. As a result, it is desirable that of frame and power transmission system is shifted by the additional system. This is cause by the moment of inertia of the additional system, because the center of gravity location of the additional system is far from that of the power transmission system.

  • Design sensitivity analysis of a vehicle system is an essential tool for design optimization and trade-off studies. Most optimization algorithms require the derivatives of cost and constraint function with respect to design in order to calculate the next improved design. This paper presents an efficient algorithm application for the design sensitivity analysis, using the direct differentiation method. A mounting area of suspension that welded on chassis frame is analyzed to show the validity and the efficiency of the proposed method.   • In this paper, we were performed a structural analysis and durability analysis for an integral frame with an axle according to development of the electric locomotive traction motor. In terms of the structural stability, as a result of the analysis modeling with coupling conditions of beam element and an alternative element of three-dimensional, the maximum von-Mises stress of the locking screw mounting frame were similar as 50MPa and 51MPa. Also A comparison of the natural frequency and the exciting frequency while driving of the electric locomotive No. 8200, the natural frequency is 627.05Hz~856.9Hz while the exciting frequency is not more than most 30Hz or 553Hz, 1110Hz. Therefore, it is possible to avoid the resonance.

  • In this study, an actual test procedure was considered for the effective operation of a bulletproof test. The problems of the existing system were drawn in two ways. First, it is difficult to mount items of various shapes. Second, various test standards cannot be applied. To improve these problems, an automated and standardized mounting system was designed/applied to mount various items. The multi-purpose mount was compatible with the backing support for body armor testing. The sample holding frame was located inside and was designed to mount samples of various sizes and shapes through vertical movement and fixation without a separate detachment/attachment process. A comparison of the economics before and after the introduction of the item mounting system confirmed the effectiveness of the system by the increased number of daily tests and equipment utilization and reduced hourly cost.

  • This paper presents vibration and noise control of flexible structures using squeeze mode electro-rheological mounts. After verifying that the damping force of the ER mount can be controlled by the intensity of the electric fild, two different types of ER squeeze mounts have been devised. Firstly, a small size ER mount to support 3 kg is manufactured and applied to the frame structure to control the vibration. An optimal controller which consists of the velocity and the transmitted force feedback signals is designed and implemented to attenuate both the vibration and the transmitted forces. Secondly, a large size of ER mount to support 200 kg is devised and applied to the shell structure to reduce the radiated noise. Dynamic modeling and controller design are undertaken in order to evaluate noise control performance as well as isolation performance of the transmitted force. The radiated noise from the cylindrical shell is calculated by SYSNOISE using forces which are transmitted to the cylindrical shell through two-stage mounting system.

Damageability, Repairability of Frame Type Passenger Vehicles at Low Speed 40% Offset Crash Test (저속40%옵셋 충돌시험을 통한 프레임형 승용차량의 손상성수리성에 관한 연구)

  • For the purpose of evaluation the damage repairability of a Frame Type Passenger vehicle which experienced a Low Speed 40% Offset front and rear Crash Test. tests were made according to the RCAR testing procedures. Test results concluded ; (1) The deceleration at C.G(center of gravity) off 6.9∼11.39 was similar to that for the vehicle. The airbag system was found to affect neither the passenger's safety nor the savings of the repairing costs. (2) In order to improve the repairability of the Frame Type Passenger vehicle after collision should be a higher crash performance of the bumper on the RCAR standards.
