Does Differentiation of Self Matter in University Students' Career Exploration?: Focused on Hospitality Majored Student

  • The employment rate has become the standard for university values. This raises the need to investigate the antecedents of university students' career exploration. Focused on the hospitality majored students, this study aims to investigate both individual and relational factors that influence their career exploration behaviors. Differentiation of self has been chosen as the individual and the relational antecedents based on Bowen's theory. It was investigated whether each dimension(I-position, emotional reactivity, fusion with others, and emotional cutoff) explains the amount of self-exploration and the amount of environmental exploration. The university students majoring in hospitality were surveyed and a total of 269 cases out of 300 cases were analyzed employing descriptive statistics and multi-variate analysis of variance, and structural equation modeling(SEM). The study found that I-position positively influenced self-exploration and environmental exploration. Emotional reactivity made an influence on environmental exploration, while it failed to explain self-exploration. Fusion with others and emotional cutoff also significantly influenced environmental exploration, however, it didn't make any significant influence on self-exploration. This study implies that the college of hospitality majors needs to understand that differentiation of self forms through family relationship and needs to provide the students the programs of how to understand themselves and what to do for their career exploration.

Chemoselective Alkylation of Aromatics with Benzyl Alcohol over Mesoporous ZSM-5

  • Hierarchical mesoporous ZSM-5 with enhanced mesoporosity was synthesized by microwave through the rapid assembly via ionic interaction between sulfonic acid functionalized ZSM-5 nano particles and cationic surfactant. The catalytic performance of enhanced accessibility due to mesoporosity and acidity were investigated in the alkylation of mesitylene with benzyl alcohol as alkylating agent. The effect of mole ratio of aromatic with benzyl alcohol, reaction time and alkylation agent were also studied. The enhanced mesoporosity and acidity of sulfonic acid functionalized mesoporous ZSM-5 induced activity enhancement compared with non-functionalized mesoporous ZSM-5, sulfonic functionalized mesoporous ZSM-5 synthesized by hydrothermal method and conventional microporous ZSM-5. The sulfonic acid functionalized mesoporous ZSM-5 showed much higher chemoselectivity of benzylated mesitylene than others, whereas the others mainly show dibenzyl ether as product. This significant difference in catalytic selectivity was resulted from the existence of mesopores, which definitely allowed the benzylation in mesopores.

퇴행성 경추질환에서 전방경유 추간판 절제술 및 골유합술의 결과분석 (Analysis of Noninstrumented Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Interbody Fusion in Degenerative Cervical Disease)

  • Objectives : We retrospectively studied the efficacy of anterior cervical discectomy and interbody fusion without plate fixation in degenerative cervical disease. Methods : Thirty two consecutive patients with degenerative cervical disease treated by decompression and interbody fusion(Smith-Robinson technique) without anterior cervical plating were studied for postoperative complication rate as well as the clinical and radiologic outcomes and were compared the result of ours with other reported series where the anterior cervical plating was used. Results : All cases were reviewed after average period of 13 months for the purpose of this study. There were 4 postoperative complications related to grafting. A solid fusion was obtained in all cases with single-level fusion(n=21) and 81.8 % of the cases with a two-level fusion(n=11). The overall fusion rate was 93.8 % and fusion rate per level fused was 95.3%. The clinical outcome of the patients was comparable with that in the literature, with one patient having a poor result. Comparing the result of this study with others of the anterior cervical plating, clinical outcome and fusion rate were not superior in plate fixation group in single-level fusion, but increased fusion rate and decreased graft-related complication rate were noted in multilevel fusion with plate fixation. However, the clinical outcome was not superior to noninstrumented fusion group of this study. Conclusion : These results demonstrate that anterior cervical discectomy and interbody fusion(Smith-Robinson technique) without instrumentation is safe and reliable method of single-level fusion in degenerative cervical disease. Plate fixation system doesn't seem necessary in single level fusion in degenerative cervical disease.

Radiographic Comparison of Four Anterior Fusion Methods in Two Level Cervical Disc Diseases : Autograft Plate Fixation versus Cage Plate Fixation versus Stand-Alone Cage Fusion versus Corpectomy and Plate Fixation

  • Objective : To evaluate radiographic results of anterior fusion methods in two-level cervical disc disease : tricortical autograft and plate fixation (ACDF-AP), cage and plate fixation (ACDF-CP), stand-alone cage (ACDF-CA), and corpectomy and plate fixation (ACCF). Methods: The numbers of patients were 70 with a minimum 6 month follow-up (ACDF-AP : 12, ACDF-CP : 27, ACDF-CA : 15, and ACCF : 16). Dynamic simple X-ray and computed tomography were evaluated preoperatively, postoperatively, 6 month, and at the final follow-up. The fusion and subsidence rates at the final were determined, and global cervical lordosis (GCL), cervical range of motion, fused segment angle (FSA), and fused segment height (FSH) were analyzed. Results: Nonunion was observed in 4 (25%) patients with ACDF-CA, 1 (8%) patient with ACDF-AP, 1 (4%) patient with ACDF-CP. The number of loss of FSH (%) more than 3 mm were 2 patients (16%) in ACDF-AP, 3 patients (11%) in ACDF-CP, 5 patients (33%) in ACDF-CA, and 3 patients (20%) in ACCF. The GCL was decreased with ACDF-CA and increased with others. The FSA was increased with ACDF-AP, ACDF-CP, and ACCF, but ACDF-CA was decreased. At the final follow-up, the FSH was slightly decreased in ACDF-CP, ACDF-AP, and ACCF, but ACDF-CA was more decreased. Graft related complication were minimal. Screw loosening, plate fracture, cage subsidence and migration were not identified. Conclusion: ACDF-CP demonstrated a higher fusion rate and less minimal FSH loss than the other fusions in two-level cervical disc disease. The ACDF-AP and ACCF methods had a better outcome than the ACDF-CA with respect to GCL, FSA, and FSH.

일측 성대마비 환자의 보상기전에 관여하는 후두내근육 : PET-CT 융합 영상을 사용한 정상군과의 발성시 및 비발성시의 비교 (Hypermetabolism of Compensatory Laryngeal Muscles in Unilateral Vocal Cord Palsy: Comparison Study between Speech and Silence with Normal Subjects by Co-registered PET-CT Fusion Images)

  • 목적: 일측성 성대마비 환자의 FDG-PET에서 영상 판독에 오류를 일으킬 수 있는 성대의 비대칭 섭취가 여러 차례 보고되었다. 저자들은 일측 성대마비 환자와 정상인에서 발성시와 침묵시의 성대근육의 활동정도를 FDG의 섭취로 비교하여 보았다. 방법 : 11명의 일측 성대마비 환자와(원인:thyroidectomy=7, lung cancer=1, others=3) 12 명의 정상인을 대상으로 FDG-PET 을 시행하였다. 이들을 각각 두그룹으로 나누어 발성군은 FDG 주사후 20분간 책을 읽고 비발성군은 평소 검사와 같이 발성을 금하였다. 성대근육을 5부위로 나누어 SUV를 측정하였고 이를 위해 최근 시행한 CT와 융합 영상을 만들었다. 결과: 일측성대마비환자는 건측 갑상피열근에 높은 섭취를 보였으며 발성군은($SUV=5.88{\pm}2.65$) 비발성군에 비하여($SUV=2.30{\pm}0.39$) 유의하게 높은 섭취를 보였다. 정상군에서는 발성시 외윤상피열근에 대칭적인 FDG 섭취증가를 보였고 후위의 피열간근이 가장 높은 섭취($SUV=3.68{\pm}0.96$)를 보였다. 결론: 발성시 FDG-PET 검사를 하면 일측 성대마비환자와 정상인은 각각 서로 다른 후두근육에 FDG 섭취를 보였다. PET-CT 영상 융합을 사용하여 일측 성대마비 환자의 보상에 관여하는 후두근육의 비대칭적인 FDG섭취를 이해하는 것이 영상 판독에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

태양에너지 활용 의복의 개발 현황 고찰 및 의복 설계를 위한 기초 연구 (Development Status of Solar Garments and a Survey on the Solar Clothing Construction)

  • A solar jacket, which utilizes solar energy for generating electricity, is an example of clothing developed by the fusion of multiple technologies; such fusion of technologies can lead to further developments in the clothing industry and other industries in general. Many research institutes and garment manufacturing companies in Europe and America are developing solar garments; various solar-based products manufactured using solar cells, photovoltaic batteries, etc. are being sold at high prices. The purpose of this study was to investigate the development status of solar garments and their application for generating photovoltaic energy; the study also identified the type of design and upper body clothing preferred by Korean in their early 20s. The survey participants were 188 university students aged between 20 and 25. The design of the proposed six types of solar clothing was evaluated and rated; they were then ranked on the basis of the ratings. A survey on the management of solar garments was conducted, and ratings were assigned according to a 5-point Likert scale, with 5 indicating the strong affirmation. The survey results showed that among the six types of clothing, protective clothing (50%) and sportswear (22%) were more preferable than the others (working clothes (16%), casual clothes (3%), everyday wear(6%), and suits(1%)). Among the six proposed designs, the jumper design (22%) and jean jacket design (21%) were preferred over the others (casual jacket (19%), casual jacket I (15%), classic suit (14%), and climbing jacket (9%)). Factorial analysis of the management of solar garments revealed that the most important factors were the properties of the solar cell and time required for battery charging, and the second important factors were clothing weight and comfort.

RCC-MR 코드에 기반한 ITER 시험증식블랑켓 일차벽 설계 (First Wall Design of ITER Test Blanket Module(TBM) based on RCC-MR Code)

  • The Helium cooled ceramic reflector(HCCR) test blanket module(TBM) has been designed and developed to participate the ITER(International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) test blanket program in Korea. The TBM was one of the main objectives for developing ITER for proving the tritium self-sufficiency and the heat transfers to produce the electricity with the breeding blanket concept. Among the TBM components, the first wall(FW) was the most important component in safety since it was directly faced a high level of a heat and fast neutrons from the plasma side and could protect the others components inside TBM. In this paper, the FW has been designed through the thermo-mechanical analysis considering ITER operation conditions. With the developed simple models, the stress limit analysis based on RCC-MR code which is the nuclear power plant design codes in France was evaluated for the allowable design criteria. The results showed that the designed FW model satisfied $1.5S_m$ or $3S_m$ of the allowable stress($S_m$) in RCC-MR code at the maximum stress region in the FW.

금융업 종사자의 자아분화 수준이 고객지향성에 미치는 영향: 직무스트레스의 매개효과를 중심으로 (A Study on The Effect of Self-Differentiation Level on Customer-Orientation of Employees in The Financial Companies: Focusing on The Mediating Effect of Job-Stress)

  • 본 연구는 금융업 종사자의 자아분화 수준이 고객지향성에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 자아분화와 고객지향성의 사이에서 직무스트레스가 매개하는 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 통해서 금융회사의 고객관리 및 마케팅 활동에 활용할 수 있는 시사점을 제시하는 데 연구의 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 전국의 금융업 종사자를 대상으로 2022년 6월 1일부터 3개월 동안 346명의 표본을 추출하였고 그중에 직무스트레스에서 이상치를 보이는 16명의 표본을 제거하고 330명의 표본을 선정하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 낮은 타인과융합 수준은 고객지향성에 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 둘째, 정서단절 수준은 고객지향성에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았으며, 셋째, 낮은 정서반응 수준은 고객지향성에 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 넷째, 높은 자기입장 수준은 고객지향성에 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 다섯째, 타인과융합, 정서반응 및 자기입장 수준과 고객지향성의 사이에서 직무스트레스는 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 금융업 종사자의 자아분화 수준에 따른 고객지향성의 패턴을 파악하였다는 점에서 학문적 의의가 있으며, 실무적 시사점으로는 금융업 종사자의 고객지향성을 향상하기 위해서 첫째, 조직 구성원의 직무스트레스를 줄여야 하며 둘째, 정서반응 수준이 낮고 자기입장 수준이 높은 구성원을 영업직에 배치해야 하며 셋째, 중하위직 직원들에게 많은 권한과 책임을 부여할 필요성이 있다.

밝기 비트맵과 색도 일관성을 이용한 무 잔상 High Dynamic Range 영상 생성 (Ghost-free High Dynamic Range Imaging Based on Brightness Bitmap and Hue-angle Constancy)

  • HDR(high dynamic range) 영상 생성은 실세계의 고명암비 영상을 재현하는 방법이다. Exposure fusion은 여러 HDR 영상 생성방법 중 한 가지로 true-HDR 영상을 생성하지 않고, 바로 pseudo-HDR 영상을 생성하는 방법이다. 그러나 노출이 다른 여러 입력영상들 중에서 이동하는 물체가 존재하면 잔상 효과가 발생하여 pseudo-HDR 영상의 화질 열화를 가져온다. 이러한 단점을 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 시간 영역에서 일치성 평가를 통한 무 잔상 exposure fusion을 제안하였다. 먼저 다중 역치 및 밝기를 이용한 비트맵과 색도 일관성 맵을 이용하여 각 입력 영상들간의 일치성을 평가하였고, 이를 시간 영역 가중치 맵으로 나타내었다. 그리고 기존 exposure fusion에서의 공간 영역 가중치 맵과 결합하여 최종 가중치 맵을 생성하였다. 마지막으로 각각 입력 영상에 최종 가중치 맵을 적용한 후, 합성하여 잔상이 제거된 pseudo-HDR 영상을 생성하였다. 실험을 통해 제안된 방법의 pseudo-HDR이 기존의 방법보다 잔상이 더 많이 제거되어 화질이 개선됨을 확인하였고, 객관적인 평가 방법인 기준 영상 대비 오차도 더 적게 나타남을 확인하였다.

괴물의 언어: 다문화시대의 프랑켄슈타인과 드라큘라 (The Language of Monsters: Frankenstein and Dracula in Multiculturalism)

  • Monsters cannot speak. They have been objectified and represented through a particular concept 'monstrosity' that renders the presence of monsters effectively simplified and nullified. In contemporary monster narratives, however, the site of monsters reveals that they could be the complex construction of society, culture, language and ideology. As going into the structure that concept is based on, therefore, meanings of monsters would be seen to be highly unstable. When symbolic language strives to match monsters with a unified concept, their meanings become only further deferred rather than valorized. This shows the language of monsters should disclose the self-contradiction inherent in 'monstrosity,' which has made others—namely beings we define as 'different' from ourselves in culture or physical appearance—embodied as abject and horrifying monsters. Unable to be understood, accepted, or called humans. I analyse Frankenstein and Dracula that firmly converge monstrous bodies into a symbolic meaning, demonstrating how this fusion causes problems in the multicultural society. I especially emphasize the undeniable affirmation of expurgated others we need to have empathetic relations with, because their difference, unfamiliarity, and slight divergences are likely to be defined as abnormalities. In the multicultural society, thus, we must learn to embrace diversity, while also having to recognize there are many others that have been thought of as monsters; ironically enabling us to think about an undeniable imperative of being responsive to other people. In this respect, the monstrous inhuman goes to the heart of the ethical undercurrent of multiculturalism, its resolute attempt to recognize and respect someone else's difference from me. A focus on empathetic relations with others, thus, can strengthen the process of creating social mechanisms that do justice to the competing claims of different cultural groups and individuals.
