Recently, as the geographic information system (GIS) which searches, manages geographic information is used more widely, there is more requests for some systems which can search and display more actual and realistic information. As a response to these requests, the video geographic information system which connects video data obtained by using cameras and geographic information as it is by displaying the obtained video data is being more popular. However, because most existing video geographic information systems consider video data as an attribute of geographic information or use simple one-way links from geographic information to video data to connect video data with geographic information, they support only displaying video data through searching geographic information. In this paper, we design and implement a video geographic information system which connects video data with geographic information and supports hi-directional search; searching geographic information through searching video data and searching video data through searching geographic information. To do this, we 1) propose an ER data model to represent connection information related to video data, geographic information, 2) propose a process to extract and to construct connection information from video data and geographic information, 3) show a component based system architecture to organize the video geographic information system.

Recently as users' requests for geographic information systems are being more various, several new functions are being added to existing geographic information systems. One of them is linkage of spatial geographic data and video / image data to offer more realistic information of geographic objects to users. Geographic information systems implementing this function are called video geographic information system. In this paper, we design and implement a video geographic information system for providing map data, video data and link information of them to web applications. We 1) design system architecture of a video geographic information system, 2) analyze some processes to construct link information of map data and video data, 3) design database schema to store map data, video data, and link information, and 4) design some XML/GML schema used to query and retrieve these data for web applications.

1995년 이후 국가지리정보구축사업의 일환으로 전국적으로 구축되었던 공간정보시스템의 통합과 연계에 대한 연구가 끊임없이 이어지고 있다. 하지만 공간정보연계와 통합을 위한 체계적인 기준이 모호할 뿐만 아니라 각각의 구축기관마다 공간정보에 대한 식별 ID가 상이하게 구축되어 있어 연계에 어려움을 주고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 국가표준의 공간정보참조체계를 기반으로 하는 UFID를 부여하기 위해 공간정보객체의 중첩방안을 제시하고 이에 대한 중첩률을 분석하고자 한다.

In this paper, we design and implement an integrated management system for geographic data and vehicular images using a Geographic Information System (GIS). Integrated management of geographic data and vehicular images is very important to manage and to provide them to users effectively because of a large volume of vehicular images. To manipulate these data together, we consider a vehicular image as a polygon which is a type of popular geographic data types. The polygon represents a region in which spatial objects appear the vehicular image.

지리정보체계의 민간투자에 관한 제도적 기반이 마련되고 지리정보체계의 유용성에 대한 인식이 확산되고 있음에도 불구하고 지리정보체계의 민간투자사업은 활성화되고 있지 못한 실정이다. 본 연구는 지리정보체계 민간투자사업에서 국가와 지방자치단체, 지방자치단체의 내부 관련부서 그리고 사업시행자간의 발생할 수 있는 갈등의 원인을 분석하고 이를 합리적으로 조정하기 위한 방안을 제시하기 위해 시도되었다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 지리정보체계 민간투자사업의 개념과 갈등원인에 관한 이론적 논의를 수행하고 사례연구를 통해 지리정보체계 민간투자사업의 갈등원인과 조정방안을 제시한 후 지리정보체계의 민간투자활성화를 위한 정책방안을 결론으로 제시하였다.

지리 정보 시스템(GIS: Geographic Information System)은 일반적으로 각각의 독립적인 저장구조를 가지고 많은 양의 지리 정보 데이타를 다루고 있다. 이런 이유로 상호 호환적이지 못한 지리 데이터를 저장하고 있는 지리 정보 시스템들간의 지리 데이타 교환은 일반적으로 어려운 상황이다. 게다가, 지리 데이타를 저장하는 것은 많은 저장 공간을 필요로 하고, 그들을 입력하는데도 많은 비용이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 현존하는 지리 정보 시스템인 GOTHIC을 위한 SDTS 데이타 변환 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 데이타의 손실없는 변환을 위해서 먼저 SDTS 데이타와 GOTHIC 데이타간의 매핑을 설계하였다. 특히, SDTS 데이타가 ISO8211 형태이므로 엑세스를 위해 FIPS123 라이브러리를 이용하였고, 또한 GOTHIC의 내부적인 포맷은 공개되어 있지 않기 때문에 GOTHIC 데이타를 엑세스하기 위해 GOTHIC 라이브러리를 이용하였다. 본 논문에서 개발한 SDTS 데이타 변환 시스템은 효과적인 지리 정보 데이타의 변환을 위해 중간 화일을 이용하였고, 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스를 구현하기 위해 UIL을 이용하였다.

본 연구의 목적은 환경통계자료와 지리정보체계가 통합되지 않음으로 발생하는 문제점을 해결하기 위해 경상북도 안동시를 사례로 행정구역기반 환경지리정보체계를 구축하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 국가지리정보체계, 환경주제도, 환경통계자료의 특성을 고찰한 후, 지역의 환경주제도와 환경통계자료에 행정구역코드를 부여하여 행정구역기반 환경지리정보체계 구축 방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구결과는 지역 환경정책수립을 위한 기초자료를 제공하며, 환경정책의 결과를 지역행정구역별로 표시할 수 있기 때문에 정책의 효과를 쉽게 파악할 수 있게 된다. 또한 환경정보뿐만 아니라 다른 지역속성정보에 지리참조코드를 부여할 수 있는 방안을 제시하기 때문에 지방자치단체의 환경관리시스템 개선뿐만 아니라 다른 속성정보의 데이터베이스 구축에도 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

It should be needed to realize a general system which make it possible to enjoy cyber tourism based on knowledge information system to recover a local potential growth power, catch a jumping chance again, and hold a new competitive power. But to discuss a tourism information system, the matters of hard ware, software and information mediating system should be reviewed generally, this research is likely to provide a cyber tourism information system through internet as a way of cyber tours through multimedia technology and stereoscopic image technique using geographic information system centering on the networking system of tourism information. Constructing $\ulcorner$cyber touristy city$\lrcorner$ on internet, foster a new industry, to go balanced with a present tourism industry and experience a virtual reality, various theme tours create high profit to shrunken tourism industry. The main purpose of is paper is to review and develope design techniques with respect to geographic information system (GIS) using computer graphics. The geographic information system is a system designed to capture, store, manipulate, retrieve and display various data about geographic locations and spatial characteristics. In order to perform this research, a significant literature review was conducted and various design techniques of GIS based upon computer graphice were discussed.

Recently development trends in information technology expand the activity boundaries for human living beyond coastal zones. These rapid changes of paradigm are stimulating scientists and strategists to be encouraged in making adequate model for marine geographic information system (MGIS) and their applications. Coastal zones are places which are affected by many factors, such as water quality, tide, wave, atmosphere, population, industry, etc. Therefore information related to the coast has to be integrated and analyzed for managing it efficiently. GIS-based Ocean Informatics is suited for those purposes and used in the study for establishing and managing coastal geographic and environmental information system. This paper reviews the properties of ocean and coastal spaces, then defines some MGIS related terminologies for clarifying the scope of MGIS boundaries. In this study, coastal geographic information is established by digital geographic information and digital terrain information. Digital coast chart having information on digital chart and map can merge and analyze various coastal information and can be a useful tool for the coastal integrated management.
