A Study on the Official Uniform in the Early Years of the Balhae Era (발해 건국 초기 관복(官服)에 대한 소고(小考))

  • It seems that Balhae(渤海) had built up its national power through the international relationship from the early years of an establishment of a dynasty. And the envoys that were sent with the official duties dressed up the official uniform for a diplomatic courtesy. Accordingly, this study will be considered about the official uniform in the early years of the Balhae era. The system of the official uniform of Balhae was classified into two form as the starting from $739\sim742$ A.D. The official uniform of the early years of the Balhae($698\sim739$ A.D.) was based on the costume of the three Kingdoms[三國時代], that is, Yu, Go(待), Jo-u-gwan(鳥羽冠). These results were available owing to the reasons that the Balhaehad succeeded the culture of Go-gu-ryo(高句麗), which was the basis for the development of Parhae's own culture, and the most of the governing group and the ruling class in Balhaewere the drifting people from Go-gu-ryo. After that, which the 3th King Mun(文王), acrepted the Tang's culture positively, assumed the reins of government ascended the throne and the brisk exchange with Tang(唐) by the envoys and Suk-wui(宿衛) were dispatched to Tang, the official uniform of the Balhaewas transformed into the system of Tang. This system was similar to that of Tang in point of using a four colors and the items as Danryeong(團領), Bokdu.

A Comprehensive Examination of Autogenous Shrinkage in Ultra-High-Strength Concrete augmented with Graphene and Hollow Glass Powder (그래핀과 유공유리분말을 사용한 초고강도 콘크리트의 자기수축에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • This research delves into the fabrication of an ultra-high-strength concrete, enriched with oxidized graphene nanoplatelet(GO) and hollow glass powder(HGP), notably eschewing the conventional inclusion of silica fume(SF). The primary objective was to scrutinize the autogenous shrinkage characteristics of this innovative formulation. It was discerned that the NewMix specimen, which incorporated the cGO(sourced from Company C) and HGP, and intentionally bypassed SF, showcased a commendable 13% reduction in autogenous shrinkage relative to the benchmark(Ref) specimenthat incorporated SF. Moreover, the proclivity for crack formation owing to autogenous shrinkage in the NewMix was observed to manifested by NewMix at the juncture of cracking emerged as the apex value. Attributed to the expansive specific surface area and exemplary dispersibility of cGO, it was postulated that the concrete's pore structure benefitted from enhanced infill, leading to a reduction in autogenous shrinkage. Additionally, the cGO integration fortified the concrete's resistance to crack initiation. Consequently, such an enhancement is posied to be pivotal in mitigating crack propagation resulting from autogenous shrinkage in ultra-high-strength concrete.

A STUDY OF SASIN-ANIMAL SKY MAP ON CHONMUNRYUCHO (천문유초(天文類初)에 기록된 사신동물천문도(四神動物天文圖) 연구)

  • Chon-Mun-Ryu-Cho (天文類抄), written (edited) by Lee Sun-Ji (李純之) during the period of King Se-Jong, is a representative astronomy book of Cho-Sun (朝鮮: A.D. 1392-1910) Dynasty. We find and study in the first page of the book; the description of 28 oriental constellations as a Sasin (four mythical oriental animals)-animal sky map which is not widely known yet. The map consists of four groups of constellations, each of which represents the Sasin: Chang-Ryong (蒼龍: dragon), Baek-Ho (白虎: tige.s with Ki-Rin [離隣: Oriental giraffe]), Ju-Jak (朱崔: Chinese phoenix), Hyun-Mu (玄武: a tortoise interwined with a snake). Each group (animals) spans 2 ~ 7 of 28 oriental constellations (宿). As we know from the illustration (論說) of the Chon-Sang-Yol-Cha-Bun-Ya-Ji-Do (天象列次分野之圖), a representative sky map of Cho-Sun Dynasty, astronomy in Cho-Sun Dynasty is closely related to that in Go- Gu-Rye. (高句麗: B.C. 37 -A.D. 668) Dynasty. Since these Sasin-animals appear in most mural paintings of Go-Gu-Rye. (高句麗) tombs, visualization of sky with these animal constellations could have been established as early as in Go-Gu-Ryer Dynasty. We also reconstruct this ”A Sasin-animal Korean sky map” based on the shapes of the Sasin and Ki-Rin from Go-Gu-Ryer paintings and 28 oriental constellations in Chon- S an g- Yol- C h a- B un- Ya- J i- Do.

Effects of Thermal and Electrical Conductivity of Al(OH)3 Functionalized Graphene/Epoxy Composites by Simple Sol-Gel Method (졸-젤 법을 이용한 Al(OH)3 처리된 그래핀/에폭시 복합체의 열 및 전기전도 특성 분석)

  • Functionalized graphene/epoxy composites were prepared to miprove thermal conductivities of epoxy composites and to maintain electrical insulating property. Graphene oxide (GO) was prepared using Hummers method, and then GO was reacted with aluminum isopropoxide to functionalize $Al(OH)_3$ layer onto GO surface by a simple sol-gel method (Al-GO). GO and Al-GO were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The analyses confirm that GO was coated with a large and dense coverage of $Al(OH)_3$. GO and Al-GO (1 and 3 wt%) were embedded in bisphenol A (DGEBA) to investigate the effects of electrical insulating property. Electrical resistivity showed that Al-GO had better insulating property than GO. Further, the thermal conductivity of GO and Al-GO/epoxy composites was higher than that of neat epoxy resins. In particular, the thermal conductivity of Al-GO/bisphenol F (DGEBF) improved by 23.3% and Al-GO/DGEBA enhanced by 21.8% compared with pure epoxy resins.

A Comparative Study on the Effect of Herb Medication Based on Go-bang Treatment, Huse-bang Treatment for Patients with Acute Neck Pain Caused by Traffic Accidents: A Retrospective Study (교통사고로 유발된 급성 경항통 환자에 대한 고방 치료와 후세방 치료의 효과 비교: 후향적 연구)

  • Objectives The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of herb medication based on 'Go-bang' treatment, 'Huse-bang' treatment for patients with acute neck pain caused by traffic accidents. Methods We studied 40 patients with acute neck pain after traffic accidents who had admitted to Department of Korean Medicine Rehabilitation, College of Korean Medicine, Daejeon University from November 25, 2018 to November 25, 2019. 20 patients had received Herb Medication Based on 'Go-bang' and 20 patients had received herb medication based on 'Huse-bang' three times a day. The study was conducted as a retrospective observation study which analyze the patient's medical records. We used visual analogue scale (VAS) to evaluate pain reduction and neck disability index (NDI) to evaluate function improvement twice (hospitalization day and 5 days later). Statistical analysis was performed using the IBM SPSS statistics 25 program. Result The VAS scores, NDI scores decreased statistically significantly after treatment in all patients. Both 'Go-bang' and 'Huse-bang'groups showed a statistically significant VAS reduction and improvement of NDI on the fifth day of hospitalization. In the 'Huse-bang' group, there was a statistically significant improvement of NDI than in the 'Go-bang' group. Conclusion We found that both types of herbal-medication were significantly effective on acute neck pain and neck disability after traffic accident. Further study is needed about the comparison of effectiveness between Go-bang' and 'Huse-bang'groups.

  • As a sequel to Part 1, the performance characteristics of the cell averaging (CA), greatest of (GO), and smallest of (SO) constant false alarm rate (CFAR) processors in nonhomogeneous environment are obtained and compared when receiving antenna diversity is employed in the pseudonoise (PN) code acquisition of direct-sequence code division multiple access (DS/CDMA) systems. Unlike in homogeneous environment, the GO CFAR processor is observed to exhibit the best performance in nonhomogeneous environment, with the CA CFAR processor performing the second best.

  • For the analysis of Acoustic Target Strength(TS) that indicates the scattered acoustic intensity from the underwater vehicles, an analysis program that is applicable to scatterers insonified by spherical wave source in near field is developed. In this program, the Physical Optics(PO) method is embedded as a base component. To increase the accuracy of the program, multiple bounce effects based on Geometrical Optics(GO) method are applied. To implement multiple bounce effects, GO method is used together with PO method. In detail, GO method has a concern in the evaluation of the effective area, and PO method is involved in the calculation of Acoustic Target Strength for the final effective area that is evaluated by GO method. For the embodiment of near field spherical wave source originated multiple bounce effects, image source concept is implemented additively to the existing multiple bounce algorithm which assumes plane wave insonification. Various types of models are tested to evaluate the reliability of the developed program and finally, a submarine is analyzed as an arbitrary scatterer.

An Analysis of the Contents and Expression Methods of Jeong Yag-yong's 『Gugo Wonlyu』 (정약용의 『구고원류』의 내용과 표현방법 분석)

  • This study analyzes the contents and expression methods of Jeong Yag-yong's "Gugo Wonlyu". The 530-page long "Gugo Wonlyu" discusses 1541 formulas about Gu, Go, Hyun, Hwa, Gyo; however, it has only the results of formulas and no explanations about their inducement method. Therefore we do not know how he derives and verifies the formulas. In addition, it did not follow the basic form of oriental mathematics textbooks: problem-answer-solution, and presented all the formulas only with characters without using numbers. This is a very distinctive aspect compared to other mathematical textbooks. In addition, the formulas about 5-Hwa and 5-Gyo are addressed exactly in fixed order and covers a formula in various directions. This is a clear evidence that Jeong Yag-yong analyzed and studied the Gugosul thoroughly.

  • Camera calibration is very important problem in 3D measurement using vision system. In this paper is proposed the simple method for camera calibration. It is designed that uses the principle of vanishing points and the concept of corresponding points extracted from the parallel line pairs. Conventional methods are necessary for 4 reference points in one frame. But we proposed has need for only 2 reference points to estimate vanishing points. It has to calculate camera parameters, focal length, camera attitude and position. Our experiment shows the validity and the usability from the result that absolute error of attitude and position is in $10^{-2}$.

A Research on the Actual Noise Condition of a City Park in Nowon gu (노원구 소재 도심공원의 소음실태 조사)

  • In the Well-being age, many people use a city park for rest deeply think and constitutional walk. The city park is located at near side by traffic road in urban. Citizens are not satisfied with it's fuction as a haven of peace due to road traffic noise. Thus, this study is for a research on the actual noise condition of a city park in Nowon go. This study uses a prediction method called ASJ-model in order to calculate PWLs of road traffic noise. Using calculated PWLs, noise levels in a park are predicted and compared with measured values.
