An Analysis of the Correlation between He-Ne Laser Therapy in Literature and Clinical Application (He-Ne 레이저에 대한 문헌과 이를 근거로 한 임상 활용 예의 비교 고찰)

  • Objectives : Recently, He-Ne laser has been used for clinical purpose. We study the medical basis of He-Ne laser therapy and We make a proposal concerning the clinical application of using He-Ne laser in Medicine. Methods : We have selected data related to He-Ne laser therapy and study how to use He-Ne laser in clinic. Results : In biology, He-Ne laser therapy has been effects of an improve in skin regeneration an improve in peripheral and central nerve regeneration an improve in muscle regeneration, an anti-inflammation an alleviation of pain and a bone repair. In oriental medicine, He-Ne laser has been used to laser acupuncture and laser oriental physical treatment. In clinic, He-Ne laser have been used to care several parts like as facial palsy, facial spasm, trigeminal neuropathy, rhinitis and tinnitus. Recently, there is argument that He-Ne laser therapy is suitable to medical insurance. Conclusions : Laser therapy in oriental medicine is widespread and We can apply He-Ne laser to facial palsy, facial spasm, trigeminal neuropathy, rhinitis, tinnitus by using laser acupuncture or laser oriental physical treatment. Till now the whole mechanisms are not fully understood, so we hope to study these mechanisms actively and make suitable to medical insurance device in the near future.

Effects of the Low Power He-Ne IR Laser Treatment on the Liver Damage Induced with $CCI_4$ in Rats

  • This study was investigated the effects of the lower power He-Ne IR laser treatment on the changes of blood biochemical components in the rat liver damaged by the carbon tetrachloride (CCl₄). The twenty one Sprague-Dawley adult male rats weights (260±18.6 g) were designed to the three groups: one control group and two experimental groups, the experimental groups were divided into the CCl₄-treated groups and the laser therapy group (CCl₄+ Laser). The experimental groups were injected twice with CCl₄(1.0 ml/kg body weight) intraperitoneal for two days. Each group was sacrificed after two weeks irradiated with the lower power He-Ne IR laser for ten minutes per every day. The activity of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), lactic dehydrogenase (LDH), alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and the concentration of serum glucose treated with He-Ne IR laser groups was significantly decreased to the conrtol (treated with carbon CCl₄) group. The activity of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) was decreased in the laser group but not significantly, the concentration of the serum cholesterol in the laser group was significantly increased comparing with the control and case control groups. In conclusion, the effect of the lower power He-Ne IR laser treatment is believed to be a possible protective effects for CCl₄ induced acute hepatotoxicity in rats.

Effect of Intravenous He-Ne Laser Irradiation on Cholesterol Value of Hyperlipidemia Patients (정맥 혈관내 He-Ne 레이저 조사가 고지혈증 환자의 지질 수치에 미치는 영향)

  • In order to determine the effect of intravenous He-Ne laser irradiation, values of serum total cholesterol, Triglyceride, LDL-cholesterol and HDL-cholesterol were measured. Twenty three patients with hyperlipidemia who visited Gunpo Oriental Medical Center of Wonkwang University were treated with He-Ne laser irridiation and analyzed by Paired T-test of SPSS program. The following results were obtained : The serum Total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol of patients treated with He-Ne laser irradiation showed a significant(P<0.05) decrease, and the serum Triglyceride and HDL-cholesterol of patients treated with He-Ne laser irradiation showed no significant(P<0.05) effects.

  • A simple digital control system has been developed for the frequency stabilization of an internal mirror He-Ne laser. The system is based on one chip microprocessor with embedded Basic interpreter. To stabilize the laser output frequency, the signal such as power difference or beat frequency between two modes is supplied and processed by a microprocessor, and control signal is fed to the heating coil would round the laser tube for adjusting the spacing of the laser cavity mirror. Newly developed frequency stabilization system is totally digitized. The system and the frequency stability performance are briefly described.

  • In this thesis, we observed the optical characteristic of amorphous chalcogenide thin films by He-Cd laser. Also, grating formation by He-Ne laser and He-Cd laser. After analyze diffraction efficiency of the time on the $Ag(200{\AA})/As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}$ thin films. The result diffraction efficiency of Maximun 0.2% reduced according to time grating formation by He-Ne laser. Diffraction efficiency of Maximun 0.1% showed stabiliy characteristic according to time grating formation by He-Cd laser.

  • 국내 및 해외에서 생산 되는 윤활유에 Cloud-point curves 및 상용성 개념을 도입하여 이러한 데이터를 측정할수 있는 장치를 기존의 Light scatering, Neutron scatering, Visible Method등이 아닌 He-Ne Laser를 이용하여 측정하는 장치이다. He-Ne Laser을 이용하여 공중합체 용액의 Cloud-point curves를 측정하였고, 측정 Cloud-point curves 데\ulcorner를 연속열역학적 상평형관계식에 적용 coex istence curves를 추산하였으며 추산치와 측정치를 비교 검토하였다. 멀지 않은 해에는 이러한 분석장치가 상용화되어 윤활유 제품의 상용성을 평가하는 장치가 될 것으로 사료된다. 따라서, 기존 윤활유 제품 및 신제품의 상용성(compatibility)을 He-Ne Laser을 이용하여 측정하고 다른 일면으로는 윤활유 제품의 고품질화 및 제품의 경쟁력을 강화하는데 커다란 영향을 미치리라 사료된다.

  • This paper describes preliminary discussions on manufacture of a He-Ne laser and investigation of output characteristics. The He-Ne laser which is to be manufactured is what is the most common wavelength λ=632.8[nm] transition in the red portion of the spectrum. The output characteristics as various parameters, such as gas mixture ratio, gas pressure, discharge current, resonator, resonator length, and the efficiency characteristics as a input power will be investigated.

Naloxone Reversal of He-Ne Laser Stimulation Induced Analgesia in Rat (헬륨 -네온 레이저자극으로 유발된 흰쥐 진통작용의 날록손 반전)

  • The purpose of this study were to 1) determine the analgesic effect of 632.8 nm of helium-neon (He-Ne) laser stimulation on acupuncture point in rat and 2) determine the reversal of analgesic effect by naloxone injection. Eighteen Sprague-Dawley rats were devided into three groups : control (n=6) : laser (n=6), laser stimulation at $3.58\;J/cm^2$ ; and naloxone (n=6), 1 mg/kg of naloxone chloride inject into peritoneum before laser stimulation at $3.63J/cm^2$. Tail-flick latency were measured pretreat and posttreat with hot plate $(55^{\circ}C)$. Data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA and paired t-teat for tail-flick latency. No significant change was noted in the tail-flick latency in either control or naloxone groups. But significant increased in tail-flick latency in taller group. The results suggest that He-Ne laser induced analgesic effect, and endogenous opioids may be involved in He-Ne laser induced analgesia.

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate the significance of the Oriental medical treatment using He-Ne laser with low energy intravascular Laser Irradiation of Blood(ILIB) through the superficial venules. Methods : The investigation of details connected with the superficial venules in the literature is performed. The investigation of details connected with the pricking blood techniques through the superficial venules in the literature is performed. The classification of the pricking blood techniques through the superficial venules by the blood-letting puncture methods in the literature is performed. The arrangement of domestic clinical treatises on the effectiveness of medical treatment using He-Ne laser with low energy ILIB through the superficial venules is performed. The consideration on the methodology for the improvement of the clinical effectiveness of He-Ne laser with low energy ILIB through superficial venules is performed. Results and Conclusions : The superficial venules are small arteries, veins and capillaries in the superficial region of the human body. In the pricking blood techniques, there are the blood-letting puncture using the implement of acupuncture to the Jing points, Extra points and superficial blood vessels and the acupuncture using the Hirudo. The methods of the blood-letting puncture are classified into the venous blood-letting puncture, the pricking , the picking out white fiber-like substances from the subcutaneous tissue, the cluster needling, the scattered needling, the blood-letting puncture of the tready collateral branch of the large channel and the blood-letting puncture of skin. The He-Ne laser with low energy ILIB through the superficial venules belongs to the Oriental medical treatment as the method of the blood-letting puncture in the vein of cubital fossa. The He-Ne laser with low energy ILIB has an effect on hyperfibrinogenemia, hyperlipidemia, speech and motor dysfunction in the case of cerebral infarction, headache, dizziness, pain and numbness. It is considered that fundamental research on the biological change of the human body, the experimental animal and the unicellular animal, and research on the effectiveness and the safety, and the development of He-Ne laser with low energy ILIB of an effective wavelength range are necessary.

  • The wire displacement of wire electric discharge machine has been measured using He-Ne laser. A measurement system consisted of He-Ne laser, A/D converter, 4 divided photodiode, amplifier, sensor process instrument, and personal computer. The processing parameters were varid with feed rate, wire tension, wire speed and voltage. The laser beam intensity transmitted on a 4 divided photodiode was varied by processing wire electric descharge machine with various process parameters. The 4 divided photodiode and amplifier were used to change the detected beam intensity into voltage. Variation of wire displacement was between 11 and 125 .mu. m. The wire tension was dominant on the variation of wire displacement among many parameters.
