열차추진시스템에서 Switched Reluctance Motor의 속도제어를 위한 제어기 설계 (A Controller Design for Speed Control of the Switched Reluctance Motor in the Train Propulsion System)

  • Electric locomotive is adapted to high speed driving and mass transportation due to obtaining high traction force. The electric locomotive is operated by motor blocks and traction motors. Train speed is controlled by suppling power from motor blocks to traction motors according to reference speed. Speed control of the electric locomotive is efficient by spending energy between motor blocks and traction motors. Currently, switched reluctance motors have been studied because the efficient is higher than induction motors. In this paper, model of the switched reluctance motor is presented and the PID controller is applied to the model for the speed control by using Simulink. Asymmetry converter is used for real-time control and system performance is demonstrated by simulating the speed of switched reluctance motor including PID controller.

  • An electric railway system is composed of high-tech subsystems, among which main electric equipments such as transformers, converter and traction motors are critical components determining the performance of rolling stock. We developed a measurement system for on-line test and evaluation of performances of Korean High Speed Train. The measurement system is composed of software part and hardware part. Perfect interface between multi-users is possible. A new method to measure temperature was applied to the measurement system. By using the system, measurement and evaluation for the performance of electric equipments in Korean High Speed Train was conducted during test running.

고속전철 시스템의 정적평형 및 선형진동 해석 (Static equilibrium and linear vibration analysis of a high speed electric train system)

  • A formulation to perform static equilibrium and linear vibration analysis is presented in this paper. The formulation employs minimum number of equations of motion which are derived by using a partial velocity matrix. The static equilibrium analysis is performed first, then the linear vibration analysis is performed at the static equilibrium position. By using the formulation presented in this paper, static equilibrium and linear vibration analysis of a high speed electric train system are performed. A single bogie system, a power car vehicle, and a train system which consists of five vehicles are analyzed, respectively. Natural frequencies and a few lowest mode shapes of the two are identified in this paper.

  • 세계 고속철도 시장의 대용량 수송 및 고속화 추세에 따라 개술개발 경쟁이 가속화되는 시점에서 국내외시장 환경의 대처와 신성장산업으로의 육성을 위한 신기술 개발의 필요성에 따라 동력분산형 고속철도시스템(최고시험속도 430km/h, 최고영업속도 370km/h)의 핵심기술개발로 HEMU-430x가 상용화를 앞두고 있다. 이는 철도선진국으로의 도약과 국내시장 뿐 아니라 세계시장 진출 도모에 계기가 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 고속철도의 국내 및 해외시장 규모를 파악하여 국내외 동력분산형 고속철도 도입을 대비한 기초자료로써 활용하고, 텍스트 마이닝 기법을 통한 동력분산형 고속열차의 차별화된 마케팅 전략을 수립하여 국내 시장에서의 성공적인 도입과 해외시장 진출을 위한 발판을 마련하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, an effective way to develop electrical system for Korean High-Speed Train(KHST) was introduced. High speed train is complicated electrical system that consists of many kinds of control devices, power supplies and communication systems. Due to reason of cost, safety and time for development, it is not so easy to test system performance after construct the high speed train in the test track. For the effective test and verification of system performance, from each electric system test to integration test for all interconnected electrical system are performed to reduce time and cost for development of high speed train.

  • The most important thing to secure safety and reliability of railway vehicles is to verify performance characteristics of equipments, and related companies or research institutes had many efforts to verify performances and functions of equipments synthetically and efficiently. KHST(Korean High Speed Train) has been developed by KRRI (Korea Railroad Research Institute). An electric railway system is composed of high-tech subsystems, among which main electric equipment such as transformers and converter are critical components determining the performance of rolling stock.   • Recently, as the road capacity reaches a limit and environmental problems becomes serious, there exists a gradually increased need for railway vehicles that are environment-friendly, punctual, reliable and safe. Accordingly, in addition to conventional railroad vehicles, lots of vehicles are being newly developed. Korean High Speed Train has been developed for last 6 years to satisfy the need. Authors developed a measurement system for on-line test and evaluation of performances of Korean High-Speed Train. The measurement system is composed of software part and hardware part. Perfect interface between multi-users is possible. A new method to measure temperature was applied to the measurement system. By using the system, measurement and evaluation of the mechanical characteristics of motors and main transformers in Korean High Speed Train was conducted during test running. The measured results for the temperature characteristics of electric devices verify that the measurement system is accurate and reliable.

  • In this paper, as the first step to assess and enhance the reliability of Korea High Speed Train, electric traction system is selected and reliability analysis is carried out. The electric traction system is classified into subsystems and functional block diagrams and reliability block diagrams are drawn. Expressions to calculate the reliability are deducted and Mean Kilometer Between Service Failure is calculated using the trial test results on the track. Calculated results show reliability growth of the electric traction system.

  • To achieve adequate brake performance in high-speed trains the brake system should : ${\bullet}$ offer high reliability and high availability, ${\bullet}$ permit deceleration of the train with as little wear as possible, and ${\bullet}$ display good control characteristics with, if possible, infinitely variable control of the braking effort. For these reasons, high-speed train is to be equipped with three different and largely independent brake system : ${\bullet}$ a regenerative brake with regenerative feedback in the driven cars, ${\bullet}$ a linear eddy-current brake in the nondriven cars and ${\bullet}$ a pneumatic disc brake in all cars. This paper describes the conceptual design of braking system for Korea High Speed Train with the maximum speed of 350km/h

  • By the result of efforts for the technology development of G7 trainset, the technology of domestic high-speed train KTX-II has lately been put to practical use while a forward countries of railway, which have their own developing ability of high-speed train, are competing against each other for the development of faster high-speed train system. Japan has been commissioning of FASTECH 360 which was developed in June 2005. Also France and Germany have been commissioning of next generation high-speed train such as AGV and ICE-3, developed basing on technology of their existing high-speed train system(TGV and ICE), its maximum commercial running speed is 360kph, and adopted multiple unit system. For the development of technology of domestic high-speed train and enhancement of national technology competitive power, HEMU (High-speed Electrical Multiple Unit) development project has been carried out as a national R&D project from last August. For the executing of HEMU's maximum speed test, we have investigated the high speed line characteristics (i.e. radius of curvature, gradient, cant etc.) of Seoul-Pusan line and Honam line which is under construction. We'd like to examine a study of condition for the best HEMU T&C line considering HEMU's characteristics (i.e. acceleration, deceleration etc.) and its interface with infrastructure in this paper.
