  • Even though the revised operational guide for ICT education emphasizes the basic concepts of computer science, many primary and secondary schools do not deal with the changed requirements properly. Also, it is doubtful if the education considers teaching period and the levels of students or not. In this paper, we survey on the state of ICT education, the relationship between ICT education and Computer Education, and the connectivity in Computer Education between primary and secondary schools. In order to do these, we analyze the result of our questionnaire and we propose an improved method for the connectivity in Computer Education. The results are (i) primary school teachers don't consider the connectivity of Computer Education and (ii) the teachers who have higher satisfaction levels of ICT education think ICT education and Computer Education between two schools are correlated and connected. As a result, new policies to re-educate teachers are required.

ICT education have many differences in many countries. Currently, we are considering the suggestions for ICT education in Korea, and through comparative analysis of ICT education in Turkey, a country which has similar economic and cultural conditions, we will provide helpful solutions on ICT education policy for mutual countries. For an objective comparative analysis. we used the PISA 2009 and PISA 2012 data. The results show that Korea is has a better and easy access to computer at home only. Accessability to information devices in school, computer use in schools, and the students aptitudes on using the devices were excelled by Turkey. General attitudes about computers was similar, but Turkey proved to be better at utilizing computers in schools settings. With these findings, Korea must redefine current ICT education policies and establish policies for activating the ICT education nationwide.

  • As the importance of learner-centered ICT education is emphasized, school education should move toward the direction of respecting individual learners' capability rather than fitting learners into a fixed frame. Such a view finds its theoretical ground in Gardner's multiple intelligences theory. Thus ICT literacy education in elementary school also needs to consider individual student's abilities and talents based on their multiple intelligences and apply appropriate education programs and teaching methods. In order to provide basic materials for this, the present study examined the correlation between children's academic achievement in ICT literacy education and their multiple intelligences and inquired into which intelligences are factors determining achievement in ICT literacy education. According to the results. logical-mathematical intelligence is in a significant correlation with academic achievement in ICT literacy education. and logical-mathematical intelligence and linguistic intelligence are the most influential factors on academic achievement in ICT literacy education.

Using ICT in physical education is expected to be an alternative of overcome the bad physical education facilities and environment, also highly utilized as a valuable material that can provide specific feedback in learning motor skill. The types of ICT use in physical education classes are being utilized divided by web-use learning and application program-use learning. In composing physical education ICT contents, the server presents a problem to be solved by each student and encourage cooperative learning. If one team determines the solving idea about learning problem through team discussion, they solve the problem by repeating the process of giving teacher and other team's feedback on determining opinion. On the other hand, the class begins after learning the principle of specific movement utilizing the VTR or computer S/W in the practical training lesson of physical education. If the good hardware and software environment combine with the transformation of the recognition on physical education which has been away from the ICT, it will be able expected a broad using of ICT in physical education.

  • Recently, the biggest interest in education, education using ICT(Information and Communication Technology) is being emphasized excessively and only the practical side is being embossed on the research about it, so it is causing worry that it is inclined to technical use. In this study, we tried to prepare the strategy for efficient use of ICT in search of theoretical level on use of ICT as an alternative plan for these problems. First, we defined the concept of efficient use of ICT and fixed high thinking of human as basic authority cited for deduction of strategy and analyzed Integrated Thinking Model of Iowa State Dept. of Education. We categorized synthetic thinking for efficient use of ICT through these works. In addition, we classified ICT for efficient use into software area, hardware area, and use skill area, and observed each concepts and interrelationship. And we argued 'Decision Authority of Relation between Thinking Area and ICT Area' to examine relation between synthetic thinking category and each area of ICT, and we established concretization of that, 'Analysis Matrix for Deduction of ICE-EUS'. We tried to guarantee the propriety of deduction process and the clearness of deduction result through this works. Through this process we finally deduct the ICT-EUS(Efficient-Use Strategy of ICT) about learning resources, learning tools, tutee, searching, communication, production and presentation of ICT area. ICT-EUS is expected to provide possibility of being able to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of achievement of learning goals through cognitive analysis about learning resources, tools and use skills beyond simple use of ICT.

  • It is in the vortex of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in all areas of our society. Education is no exception. We all know that software is at the center of the education in the 4th industry revolution. It is very important for students to survey the ICT background in order to be good at software education. The OECD PISA has surveyed ICT background of students in a three-year cycle from 2003. This study analyzes PISA ICT statistical data based on the data released in April 2017. We compare and analyze the availability and usability items among the 81 items of the ICT background of the students. The results of linear regression analysis showed that Korea was the lowest among OECD countries. ICT availability is ranked 28 out of 30 countries and ICT usability is ranked 31 out of 31 countries. This reflects the fact that ICT education is not implemented in the country since 2008. For the students who will be the leaders of the future society, ICT education that had implemented in 2000 should be carried out quickly.

This study aims to make scales for teacher's ability of ICT utilization in education of Korea. For the original purpose of evaluation, this tool made by job analysis and comparative studies with the existing appraisal standards. It can be the standards for evaluation of teacher's wholly duties on ICT applied education and proper self-evaluation tool for improvement of teacher's ability on ICT utilizing instruction. I processed measurement value of participant of Gwangju and Jeollanamdo area in this system and analyzed the level of teacher's abilities using ICT, a sex gap, regional difference, duty position difference and education career difference etc.
