유전자 알고리듬을 이용한 비선형 IIR 필터의 파라미터 추정 (Nonlinear IIR filter parameter estimation using the genetic algorithm)

  • Recently genetic algorithm techniques have widely used in adaptive and control schemes for production systems. However, generally it costs a lot of time for learning in the case applied in control system. Furthermore, the physical meaning of genetic algorithm constructed as a result is not obvious. And this method has been used as a learning algorithm to estimate the parameter of a genetic algorithm used for identification of the process dynamics of nonlinear IIR filter and it was shown that this method offered superior capability over the genetic algorithm. A genetic algorithm is used to solve the parameter identification problem for linear and nonlinear digital filters. This paper goal estimate nonlinear IIR filter parameter using the genetic algorithm.

지능형 IIR 필터 기반 다중 채널 ANC 시스템 (Intelligent IIR Filter based Multiple-Channel ANC Systems)

  • This paper proposes a novel active noise control (ANC) approach that uses an IIR filter and neural network techniques to effectively reduce interior noise. We construct a multiple-channel IIR filter module which is a linearly augmented framework with a generic IIR model to generate a primary control signal. A three-layer perceptron neural network is employed for establishing a secondary-path model to represent air channels among noise fields. Since the IIR module and neural network are connected in series, the output of an IIR filter is transferred forward to the neural model to generate a final ANC signal. A gradient descent optimization based learning algorithm is analytically derived for the optimal selection of the ANC parameter vectors. Moreover, re-estimation of partial parameter vectors in the ANC system is proposed for online learning. Lastly, we present the results of a numerical study to test our ANC methodology with realistic interior noise measurement obtained from Korean railway trains.

  • This paper shows a novel and simple IIR/FIR QMF(quadrature mirror filter) filter banks, mixed IIR and FIR structure. Here, FIR filters used for phase compensation. In this paper, we introduced analysis and synthesis filter banks, which used FIR linear phase filters and all pass filters. In result, phase response of analysis and synthesis filter banks become approximately linear characteristic. Simultaneously, a liasing distortion can be completely canceled.

  • 수치와 언어적 데이터를 조합한 퍼지 추론은 적응 필터 알고리듬에서 적용되어 왔다. 적응 IIR필터 설계에서 퍼지 전치필터는 퍼지의 Sugeno의 방법을 사용하였으며 소속함수와 추론규칙은 정확성을 개선할 수 있도록 신경망을 통하여 각각 생성하였다. 제안된 알고리듬은 성능평가를 위하여 시스템 식별에 적용하고 필터의 파라미터의 추정특성과 수렴속도에 대하여 성능을 평가하였다. 이와 같은 실험결과 직접구조에서 기존의 알고리듬의 수렴속도보다 우수한 성능을 보였으며 제안된 방법이 안정성 및 국부최소 점에 대한 문제를 극복할 수 있음을 보였다.

  • GPS 신호는 수신 전력이 매우 낮으며, 민간용 신호의 경우에는 신호 구조가 잘 알려져 있어서 고의적 혹은 비고의적인 간섭에 취약하다. 많은 간섭 제거 기법이 연구되고 있으며 그 중에서 ATF가 상관전 처리 기법으로 널리 사용되고 있다. 그러나 ATF는 노치 폭과 관련된 설계 변수가 없어서 간섭을 제거하더라도 주변 주파수에 스펙트럼 손실을 가져온다. 반면 IIR 노치 필터는 노치 폭과 관련된 설계 변수가 있어서 CW 간섭에 대하여 매우 예리한 노치를 생성할 수 있으므로 스펙트럼 손실을 줄일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 적응 알고리즘을 적용할 수 있는 구조의 IIR 노치 필터를 제시하고, 소프트웨어 신호발생기와 실제 측정치를 이용하여 성능을 평가하였으며, IIR 필터의 SNR 손실이 FiR 필터에 비하여 5dB 정도 작은 것을 확인하였다.

  • Input shaping technique has been used as a simple method of controlling vibration. With the conventional methods previously proposed by several authors, the frequency range that shows a good performance is restricted. When the designed frequency being different from the natural frequency of a system, the performance of control degrades remarkably. This paper introduced a new technique that uses digital IIR filter to control vibration. This technique has robustness for changing of parameter. In order to prove this we applied input shaping method to 2 axial overhead crane.

  • In this paper, a new adaptive IIR notch filter employing all pass filter is proposed. Proposed all pass filter is composed of all pole and all zero sections, each of which utilizes modulation lattice filter [11]. And, adaption algorithm for proposed notch filter is also derived. In addition, the error surface for proposed IIR adaptive notch filter is analyzed. Computer simulation results reveal that the proposed adaptation algorithm works well for low SNR(signal to noise ratio) single and multiple sinusoids. And it is shown that for estimation time varying frequency, the parameter which is related to notch bandwidth is important than any other parameters.

WDCT(Warped Discrete Cosine Transform)를 이용한 영상 압축 알고리듬 (An Image Compression Algorithm Using the WDCT (Warped Discrete Cosine Transform))

  • 본 논문에서는 WDCT(Warped Discrete Cosine Transform)의 개념에 대해서 소개하고 이의 응용분야로서 WDCT를 이용한 영상 압축 알고리듬을 제시한다. WDCT는 기존의 일반적인 DCT와 주파수 특성이 하나의 파라미터로 조절되는 IIR(infinte impulse response) 전대역 통과 필터(all-pass filter)를 직렬로 연결한 변환이다. 제시된 영상 압축 알고리듬에서는 필터의파라미터가 미리 정의된 범위 내에서 조절되도록 한다. 각 영상의 블록에 대해서 주어진 범위 내에서 가장 좋은 파라미터가 선정되면 이를 이용한 WDCT의 결과와 이 파라미터를 디코더로 전송한다. 본 논문에서는 IIR 전대역 통과 필터링 과정을 하나의 행렬로 대체하거나 DCT를 필터뱅크로 보아 IIR 필터와 DCT의 결합을 일반적인 DCT와 마찬가지로 하나의 행렬로 표현하였다. 따라서 주어진 파라미터에 따라 각각 다른 새로운 WDCT 행렬을 정의할 수 있으므로 WDCT의 결과는 행렬과 벡터의 곱으로 얻어진다. WDCT를 이용한 영상 압축의 결과는 높은 비트율과 고주파 성분이 많은 영상에 대하여 DCT의 성능보다 우수함을 알 수 있었다.

적응 관측자를 사용한 ALE (Adaptive line Enhancement by Using Adaptive Observer)

  • The ALE problem, which tries to recover a sinusoidal signal corrupted by noise, has been solved using FIR filters. Recently several methods have been proposed using a norch filter of IIR type. In this study, the notch filter was represented with a parameter and auxiliary signals were generated by using an adaptive observer. A simple method is proposed to estimate the parameter. This method is tested under various circumstances by changing the input frequency, S/N ratio, and the type of the noise. The simulation shows that this method gives much better results than the other known methods with respect to the input S/N ratio and converging times. This method is simple and does not require much conputation, so it can be easily implemented in real time applications.

Intentional GNSS Interference Detection and Characterization Algorithm Using AGC and Adaptive IIR Notch Filter

  • A Ground Based Augmentation System (GBAS) is an enabling technology for an aircraft's precision approach based on a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). However, GBAS is vulnerable to interference, so effective GNSS interference detection and mitigation methods need to be employed. In this paper, an intentional GNSS interference detection and characterization algorithm is proposed. The algorithm uses Automatic Gain Control (AGC) gain and adaptive notch filter parameters to classify types of incoming interference and to characterize them. The AGC gain and adaptive lattice IIR notch filter parameter values in GNSS receivers are examined according to interference types and power levels. Based on those data, the interference detection and characterization algorithm is developed and Monte Carlo simulations are carried out for performance analysis of the proposed method. Here, the proposed algorithm is used to detect and characterize single-tone continuous wave interference, swept continuous wave interference, and band-limited white Gaussian noise. The algorithm can be used for GNSS interference monitoring in an excessive Radio Frequency Interference environment which causes loss of receiver tracking. This interference detection and characterization algorithm will be used to enhance the interference mitigation algorithm.
