알지네이트 코팅 Miamiensis avidus (Ciliophora: Scuticociliatida) 경구백신의 넙치(Paralichthys olivaceus)에 대한 효능평가 (Efficacy of alginate microsphere oral vaccine against Miamiensis avidus (Ciliophora: Scuticociliatida) in olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) )

  • Miamensis avidus에 대한 alginate Microsphere (Alginate MS) 경구백신의 넙치에 대한 효능을 침지와 주사경로의 공격감염으로 확인하였다. Trial 1에서는 불활화 M. avidus (IMa)와 IMa를 alginate로 코팅한 IMa+Alginate MS 를 사료와 혼합하였으며 총 5일 동안 3.75 × 106 cells/fish의 농도로 먹였다. 경구백신 투여 5주 후 침지로 공격감염했을 때, IMa+Alginate MS 그룹의 상대생존율 (RPS)은 50% (50% 해수 침지감염)와 37.5% (100% 해수 침지감염)였다. IMa 단독투여 그룹은 낮은 생존율을 보였다. Trial 2에서는 항원을 2.38 × 106 cells/fish의 농도로 5일간 나누어 먹였다. 경구백신 투여 2주 후에는 복강주사로 효능을 평가하였고, IMa+Alginate MS 투여구의 상대생존율은 30.8%였으며 IMa 단독투여 그룹은 백신의 투여효과가 전혀 없었다. 경구백신 투여 종료 5주 후 50% 해수에서 침지감염으로 공격감염 한 경우 IMa+Alginate MS 투여구의 상대생존율은 42.9%, IMa 단독투여 그룹의 상대생존율은 14.3%를 기록하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 Alginate로 M. avidus항원을 코팅함으로써 M. avidus항원을 단독으로 투여하는 것보다 넙치에 높은 방어력을 제공할 수 있음을 나타낸다.

Chlorsulfuron 과 Imazaquin에 대한 옥수수의 생리적 반응 (Physiological Responses of Corn Plants to Chlorsulfuron and Imazaquin)

  • Chlorslulfuron 및 imazaquin의 옥수수에 대한 저해양상의 차이 및 혼합효과를 생리학적인 측면에서 조사한 결과, 1. 수경재배시 배양액에 약제를 처리하였을 경우 CHL은 약제처리 6시간 후부터 생장저해 증상이 관측되었으나, IMA의 경우에는 36시간 이후에 관측되었고, 처리농도가 증가되면 생장저해증상의 발현 속도가 증대되었다. 2. 세포분열은 CHL의 경우 약제처리 3시간 후부터 저해되기 시작하였으나, IMA의 경우에는 세포분열의 저해율과 저해속도가 모두 낮았다. 3. CHL 및 IMA에 의한 세포신장에 대한 영향은 나타나지 않았다. 4_ 근부의 ALS에 대한 영향은 세포분열의 저해시간보다 빠른 CHL의 처리 l시간 이후부터 저해되었다. 5. CHL과 IMA을 경엽에 동시 혼합처리를 하면 생장저해효과가 상가적으로 나타났으나, 상호 순차적 체계처리는 상승적인 효과를 나타내었다. 6. ALS 에 대한 in vitro실험에서도 두 약제의 동시처리시 상가적인 효과가 발현되었다.

New Insights into Autonomic Nerve Preservation in High Ligation of the Inferior Mesenteric Artery in Laparoscopic Surgery for Colorectal Cancer

  • Aim: To take a deeper insight into the relationship between the root of the inferior mesenteric artery (IMA) and the autonomic nerve plexuses around it by cadaveric anatomy and explore anatomical evidence of autonomic nerve preservation in high ligation of the IMA in laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer. Methods: Anatomical dissection was performed on 11 formalin-fixed cadavers and 12 fresh cadavers. Anatomical evidence-based autonomic nerve preservation in high ligation of the IMA was performed in 22 laparoscopic curative resections of colorectal cancer. Results: As the upward continuation of the presacral nerves, the bilateral trunks of SHP had close but different relationships with the root of the IMA. The right trunk of SHP ran relatively far away from the root of IMA. When the apical lymph nodes were dissected close to the root of the IMA along the fascia space in front of the anterior renal fascia, the right trunk of SHP could be kept in suit under the anterior renal fascia. The left descending branches to SHP constituted a natural and constant anatomical landmark of the relationship between the root of IMA and the left autonomic nerves. Proximal to this, the left autonomic nerves surrounded the root of the IMA. Distally, the left trunk of the SHP departed from the root of IMA under the anterior renal fascia. When high ligation of the IMA was performed distal to it, the left trunk of SHP could be preserved. The distance between the left descending branches to SHP and the origin of IMA varied widely from 1.3 cm to 2.3 cm. Conclusions: The divergences of the bilateral autonomic nerve preservation around the root of the IMA may contribute to provide anatomical evidence for more precise evaluation of the optimal position of high ligation of the IMA in the future.

Chlorsulfuron 및 Imazaquin에 의한 옥수수 Acetolactate Synthase 활성의 저해특성 (Inhibition Characteristics of Chlorsulfuron and Imazaquin on Acetolactate Synthase Activity of Corn Plants)

  • 옥수수 잎으로부터 추출한 ALS를 대상으로 하여 CHL과 IMA의 상호작용, ALS의 기질인 pyruvate 및 2-ketobutyrate에 대한 친화도, 저해양식의 차이 등을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. ALS 에 대한 CHL의 $I_{50}$값은 100nM이었으며 IMA의 값은 $5{\mu}M$로 나타나 CHL의 ALS 저해활성은 IMA보다 약 50배 정도 높았다. 2. ALS에 대한 시험관내에서의 실험에서 두 제초제의 동시처리시 상가적인 ALS의 저해효과가 나타났으나, 상호 순차적 체계처리의 경우에서는 먼저 처리한 제초제에 의한 저해효과가 지배적으로 나타났다. 3. 제초제에 의한 ALS 활성의 저해는 시험관내에서 10분 이내에 대부분 이루어졌다. 4. ALS의 활성은 분지아미노산에 의해 저해되었는데 Val과 Leu에 의한 저해가 Ile에 의한 저해보다 크게 나타났다. 또한 이들을 동시에 혼합처리하면 0.1mM의 농도에서도 ALS의 활성이 65% 정도 저하되었다. 5. 2-Ketobutyrate를 ALS의 기질로 첨가하면 pyruvate만을 기질로 사용하였을 때보다 측정가능한 ALS 활성이 2-ketobutyrate에 의해 농도의존적으로 감소되는 경향이었다. 6. ALS의 기질인 pyruvate에 대해 CH은 비경쟁적 저해제로 IMA는 반경쟁적 저해제로 작용하였다.

무지 외반증의 근위 중족골 절골술에 있어서 수술 중 비체중부하와 수술 후 제중부하 방사선 소견에서의 제 1-2 종족골간 각의 차이 (Differences of 1-2 Intermetatarsal Angle between Intra-operative nonweight-bearing and Postoperative weight-bearing in Proximal Metatarsal Osteotomy for Hallux Valgus)

  • Purpose: To study the relationship of the 1st to 2nd intermetatarsal angle(1-2 IMA) between the intra-operative and weight bearing postoperative anterior-posterior(AP) radiography, and evaluate the intra-operative predictability for the postoperative 1-2 IMA after proximal metatarsal osteotomy(PMO) in the hallux valgus deformity. Materials and Methods: 20 cases of moderate to severe hallux valgus patients were included in this study. After the oblique PMO(Ludloff procedure) was performed and the osteotomy site was fixed temporarily, the AP view was taken intra-operatively. About 10 weeks after surgery, postoperative weight bearing AP view was taken. The pre -. intra -, and postoperative 1-2 IMAs were compared and ana lysed statistically. Results: The 1-2 IMAs of the weight bearing preoperative, non-weight bearing intra-operative and weight bearing postoperative AP view were $15.9^{\circ}{\pm}1.8^{\circ},\;4.7^{\circ}{\pm}2.1^{\circ}$, and $6.8^{\circ}{\pm}2.5^{\circ}$ (Mean${\pm}$SD) respectively. The postoperative 1-2 IMA was greater than intra-operative measurement by $2.1^{\circ}{\pm}1.8^{\circ}$ (range; $-1^{\circ}$ to $6^{\circ}$) which was stastistically significant(p<0.05). To get less than $9^{\circ}$ postoperatively as an average normal, intra-operative 1-2 IMA should be within $3.8^{\circ}$ to $5.2^{\circ}$ (95% confidence interval), and intra-operative 1-2 IMA should be within $3.4^{\circ}{\pm}$to $5.4^{\circ}$(95% confidence interval) to get more than $6^{\circ}$ difference between preoperative and postoperative 1-2 IMA, which is regarded as more than average correction by the distal metatarsal osteotomy. Conclusion: In hallux valgus surgery, it should be considered that intra-operative 1-2 IMA was less than the postoperative. To achieve postoperative 1-2 IMA less than $9^{\circ}$ and more than correction angle of $6^{\circ}$, it is suggested that the intra-operative 1-2 IMA should be measured less than about $5^{\circ}$.

당뇨족으로 인한 비외상성 하퇴부 절단 환자에서 시행한 절단부 창상의 치유 기간과 Ischemia-Modified Albumin과의 관계 (Relationship between Ischemia-Modified Albumin and the Healing Period of Amputation Wounds in Patients with Diabetes Mellitus Following Non-traumatic Below-Knee Amputation)

  • Purpose: The present study examined the effectiveness of the preoperative ischemia-modified albumin (IMA) levels in predicting the healing period of amputation wounds in patients with diabetes mellitus following a non-traumatic below-knee amputation (BKA). Materials and Methods: This study enrolled 41 diabetic foot ulcer patients who underwent BKA at the authors' hospital diabetic foot center from April 2016 to April 2022. Among the 41 patients, 29 (70.7%) were male and 12 (29.3%) were female. Their mean age was 64.54±11.38 years (41~81 years). The mean follow-up period was 19.48±5.56 weeks (14~48 weeks) after BKA. The patients were divided into two groups (high IMA group and normal IMA group), which evaluated the healing period, wound dehiscence, and revision operation rate using a Fisher's exact test and Mann-Whitney U test. Three orthopedic surgeons performed stump wound evaluation, and they were evaluated as healing when all sutures were fused without oozing. Results: Thirty patients (73.2%) (group A) showed a high level of IMA (median: 91.2 U/mL), and 11 (26.8%) patients (group B) showed a normal range of IMA (median: 82.7 U/mL). In group A, the median period for wound healing took 1.4 weeks longer, which was significant (p=0.001). No statistical relationship was observed between wound dehiscence, revision operation rate, and IMA value. There was no correlation between the other risk factors (estimated glomerular filtration rate, HbA1c) and the wound healing period. Conclusion: Although there was a limitation in using IMA as the sole factor to predict the healing period of amputation wounds in patients after BKA, this study revealed a significant positive correlation between IMA and the period of stump healing after BKA. Therefore, the preoperative IMA levels may help predict the period of stump healing after BKA.

정상 족과 무지 외반증에서의 무지 지간 외반증의 발생 빈도와 무지 외반각과 제1-2 중족골간 각과의 연관성에 대한 분석 (Incidence of Hallux Valgus Interphalangeus in the Normal and Hallux Valgus Feet and its Correlations with Hallux Valgus Angle and Intermetatarsal Angle)

  • Purpose: In order to achieve successful outcome for the hallux valgus surgery, it is mandatory to consider the possible associated hallux valgus interphalangeus, and therefore the hallux interphalangeal angle (HIA) other than hallux valgus angle (HVA) and intermetatarsal angle (IMA) has been well appreciated. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the incidence of hallux interphalangeal angle in the normal and hallux valgus feet and also the statistical correlations of HIA with HVA and IMA in the 2 groups. Materials and Methods: The study is base on the standing foot AP radiographs of the 100 normal feet (HVA<$12^{\circ}$ and $IMA<9^{\circ}$) and 100 hallux valgus feet (HVA>$25^{\circ}$ and IMA>$12^{\circ}$). We measured the hallux valgus angle, intermetatarsal angle and hallux interphalangeal angle, where we defined the hallux valgus interphalangeus when the HIA was more than $10^{\circ}$. We evaluated the incidence of the hallux valgus interphalangeus in the normal and hallux valgus groups and the correlations of the HIA with HVA and IMA. Results: In normal feet group, hallux valgus interphalangeus comprised 82%, while there were only 20% of HVI in hallux valgus group. Among 200 total feet, there was negative correlations between the HVA and HIA as well as IMA and HIA statistically (p<0.01). Conclusion: There was lower incidence of hallux valgus interphalangeus in the hallux valgus group compared to the normal feet group.

제1 중족골 근위 반월형 절골술과 Ludloff 절골술 후 교정 각도에 따른 절골편간 접촉 면적 비교(예비보고) (A Comparison of the Contact Area between Three Different Correcting Angles after Proximal Crescentic Osteotomy and Ludloff Osteotomy of the First Metatarsal (Preliminary Report))

  • Purpose: This study was performed to compare the contact area between three different correcting angles after the proximal crescentic and Ludloff osteotomies of the first metatarsal. Materials and Methods: We used the two sawbone models. Proximal crescentic (PCO) and Ludloff osteotomies (LO) were performed and secured using K-wires under the correcting intermetatarsal angle (IMA) $5^{\circ}$, $10^{\circ}$, and $15^{\circ}$. Then each 6 osteotomized model was scanned five times and measured the contact area using the calculating program. We excluded the highest and lowest values. Results: The mean area of cutting surface was 189 $mm^2$ in PCO, 863 $mm^2$ in LO. The mean contact area (contact ratio; contact area $\times$100/area of cutting surface) of PCO was 149 $mm^2$ (79%) in $5^{\circ}$, 139.5 $mm^2$ (74%) in $10^{\circ}$, 107 $mm^2$ (57%) in $15^{\circ}$ IMA. The mean contact area (contact ratio) of LO was 711 $mm^2$ (82%) in $5^{\circ}$, 535.5 $mm^2$ (62%) in $10^{\circ}$, 330 $mm^2$ (38%) in $15^{\circ}$ IMA. Conclusion: A significant decrease in the contact area and contact ratio according to increase in correcting IMA was noticed in LO. We recommend the PCO rather than LO, when the IMA is needed to correct over $15^{\circ}$.

Pyrazosulfuron - ethyl과 Imazaquin의 살초작용 비교 (Comparison of Herbicidal Action between Pyrazosulfuron - ethyl and Imazaquin)

  • Sulfonylurea계 제초제 pyrazoslulfuron-ethyl과 imidazolinone계 제초제 imazaquin을 대상으로 약해발생양상, dymron에 의한 약해경감효과, butachlor와의 상호작용성, ALS에 대한 혼합작용 등을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 제초제에 의한 벼(동진)의 생장저해증상은 pyrazosulfuron-ehtyl 처리구에서 시간이 경과되면서 회복되었지만 imazaquin 처리구에서는 회복되지 않았다. 2. 높은 농도의 pyrazosulfuron-ehtyl에 의한 벼의 약해는 dymron 혼합처리에 의하여 크게 감소되었지만, IMA에 대해서는 약해경감효과가 나타나지 않았다. 3. 혼합처리에 의한 강피의 생장억제효과는 동시 또는 체계처리 모두 동일한 경향으로 pyrazosulfuron-ehtyl과 butachlor은 길항적이었지만 imazaquin과 butachlor은 상가적이었다. 4. Pyrazosulfuron-ehtyl과 imazaquin의 ALS 효소활성 50% 저해농도는 각각 $4{\times}10^{-7}$M, $2.8{\times}10^{-6})$M 이었고 혼합처리할 경우 butachlor은 두 제초제의 ALS 저해작용에 영향을 주지 않았다. 이상의 결과를 보면 pyrazosulfuron-ethyl과 imazaquin이 공통적으로 ALS를 저해하지만 살초기작은 서로 다른 것으로 생각되었다.

무지 외반증 각변형에 대한 디지털영상의 전산화 계측: 100%와 150% 확대영상에서의 계측비교 (Computerized Measurement on Angular Parameters for Hallux Valgus: Comparison of 100% and 150% Magnified Digital Radiography)

  • Purpose: To study computerized measurements of angular parameters on 100% and 150% resized digital radiography of hallux valgus deformity Materials and Methods: 30 digital radiography of standing foot anteroposterior view of hallux valgus patients were included. Two observers(A, B) independently measured hallux valgus angle (HVA), 1-2 intermetatarsal angle (IMA), and distal metatarsal articular angle (DMAA) in two times on both 100%-size and 150% magnified images respectively, using computerized measurement software tools. The results were interpreted with the statistical software program, Statistical Analysis System, version 9.2. Results: In repeated measurements of each observer, measurements on 150% magnified image showed no differences of all three parameters and with 100%-size image, there were differences of HVA (observer A) and 1-2 IMA (observer B) (p>0.05). When testing interobserver reliability, both observers showed differences in measurement of HVA and DMAA (p<0.05), but no differences in measurement of 1-2 IMA in both images. Within the 95% confidence interval, limits of error of measurements between two observers on HVA, IMA and DMAA were $2.7^{\circ}$ $1.4^{\circ}$ and $5.0^{\circ}$ respectively in 100%-size images, and $2.6^{\circ}$, $1.6^{\circ}$ and $4.7^{\circ}$ respectively in 150% magnified images. Conclusion: In computerized measurements for angular parameters of hallux valgus with digital radiography, 150% magnified images showed intraobserver reliability. Both 100% and 150% magnified images failed to show interobserver reliability. Measurement of 1-2 IMA in both 100% and 150% images showed less interobserver error.
